Fort Wilderness Cabin Question

We will be staying in a FW cabin in the future and are wondering which loops have the bath houses and are closest to the boat dock.

We requested a cabin near the quiet pool for our December 09 vacation and received a cabin in loop 2500, right next to the laundry and pool. There are bathroom/changing rooms next to the pool, but no showers like the comfort stations in the camp site loops offer.

However, this loop was at the opposite end of Ft. Wilderness from the boat dock and Pioneer Hall. We were near the front entrance, so it was a quick trip to the buses to Epcot, AK, DHS and DTD.

If you select the photo gallery you can click on a map of Ft. Wilderness that shows where each loop is located. Another great resource is the camping board here on the DISboards. There are people on there who spend months at Ft. Wilderness and can answer any questions.

There are no bath houses in the cabin loops, only in the loops for Rvs/tents. All but 2 cabins are at the far end of the campground, close to the Outpost area(check in/out, bus depot to all parks except MK). There are 2 cabins in the 100 loop(as close as possible to the marina), but they are hard to get as a regular guest(it does happen though, like a bit of Disney magic. The good news is the cabins have a decent size bath, plus another counter/mirror in the bedroom and a extra sink in the kitchen if you need it for toothbrushing ect.

The 2100 loop has a path that connects to the 1100 RV loop's CS which does have showers,bathrooms and laundry.

The comfort stations are nice and generally clean(unfortunately Disney can't clean up all day at each CS and some guests are just messy). Depending on the time of day though, they can be very busy with people getting ready for the day, or cleaning up for bed. Most campers will use the CS over the small baths in most RVs, tent and pop up camper of course don't have a bath other than the CS.
