Will Disney let me book it this way?

We will be travelling to Disney early Sept. It will be myself, my husband, my son who will be 2, and my 16 year old stepsister who is coming along to help us(and because we love her).

We will be staying at the Pop Century (we have stayed here several times, but it has always been just me & my husband , and once with our son.

I want my stepsister to have her own room, joining with ours.
I have done lots of research and discovered it is cheaper to do this:
-Book one room package with all 4 of us (will include park tickets and hopefully the free dining plan). Book an extra room only with my AAA discount

it is cheaper to do that than this:
book one room package including tickets and DP for 1 adult & 2 children and another room/package for the other adult (because obviously they dont let you book a room for only one child and then we could just let her sleep in there)

It is about $150 cheaper to do it the first way but am wondering if they will let us do it that way???

I don't hink they'll allow you to book it the 1st way.

I don't think so because you won't have a named guest in that room. And I don't think they will let the same person be on 2 reservations at the same time. You can always call and ask though.

You can't guaranteed connecting rooms either so I wouldn't make your plan dependent on that.

I dont know I was just experimenting - I put it through both ways - I guess because it is an off season room rate and I would qualify for a AAA discount.

Wont' hurt to ask. They let me book two rooms that way, but it may have been because I was the only adult. I booked a ASMu Fam suite for myself and my five grandchildren, then added another room for my neices ages 14 and 15 who are coming to help (and because I love them). At first the CM said he didn't think he could do it, but he checked and did it. He said he had to list the 15 year old as an adult on the reservation but he made a notation that she was not an adult.

Yes, your idea should work fine. No need to even ask. Just book everybody in one room. Then, on a separate reservation book the second room. No big deal. Why not save the $150? Disney will be more than happy to rent another room to you if you're willing to pay for it! Just be sure to request connecting rooms -- and be prepared that the rooms might not connect, though they'll likely be near each other.

I've heard of couples on these boards who simply need the space of two connecting rooms even though it's only two people. The longer I'm married, the more I understand this! Would Disney really expect the couple to book two packages? No, it's obvious the answer is to book two people on a package in one room, book a second room on a room only basis and ask for the rooms to connect.

Reserve 1 room in your name, the other in DH's. If they ask, tell them you are separated, but the kids don't know. You got the extra room to have some "space". That should quickly end any inquiries.

Or you could tell them DH is a LOUD snorer and the baby just can't handle the noise so you needed the extra room - if they even catch there are two separate ressies.
