Why doesn't Disney reservation adjust your reservation when a cheaper price comes along? I booked a split stay with the passholders discount 3 days at POP(room only) since the first few days we are going to Sea World and Busch Gardens so didn't need the dining plan and 5 days at Poly with dining which I just finished paying for last night:cool1: well today I was thinking maybe a Mod resort would be nice since i've stay at Pop already and in my crazy head i'm trying to stay at all the Disney resorts anywho i was on the website pricing resorts and happened to look at Pop again and it was $60 cheaper for the same code. If i wasn't checking Mods I never would have known...you would think their computers would automatically fix it and i didn't have to call to adjust the price. I decided to stay at Pop and book for the summer at a Mod. Saving $60 more on top of what I saved staying at the Poly I'm happy!!!!!

Because they want your money. :)

Yep, that would be it. They'd much rather you pay the higher price than the discounted price.

No business wants its customers to pay less. Disney offers discounts because they hope it will entice you to spend more while you're there, or entice you to take a vacation you wouldn't have otherwise taken.

It's not their job to save you money!

I called in a few weeks ago because I had heard of a new code and they couldn't give it to me until I called back with the exact lettering (or at least that CM wouldn't help me). Once I called and said I had heard there was a new promotion and they wouldn't confirm or deny it until I had told him which promotion I was talking about. So they aren't going to just pull your dates and say oh hey we can save you money this way.

BUT if you book your vacation through Dreams Unlimited Travel they WILL apply any discounts that become available to you without you having to ask. I've never used them I just do it all myself. But if you want to guarantee you are getting the best rate available to you, you might want to go through them next time.

NO hotel will adjust your room rate if the prices come down. I travel frequently and always will make a reservation as soon as I know I'm going on the trip. But I check back every week or so right up until right before I leave for lower rates. Almost all of the time, I've been able to get a lower rate and cancel the one I already have. But that's MY job to monitor that, not the hotel's. They have a reservation in place, they are happy. Eventually, they will stay have that reservation but I save money.

You have to be proactive - I once was able to not only save money but get a better class of room at a hotel just because I checked back one week before I left. If the rooms aren't sold out, the rates will drop.

Why would they? It's the consumer's responsibility to find the best price.
