Can I add the quick service dining to my 40 % pin rate and other questions.

I booked the Contemporary with 7 day ph Nov 29th thru Dec 5th. We are considering adding the QSD to our 40% pin.

I can add it right? I know the discount is room only and not for the package. Also, will I have to make a new reservation or can I add to my exisiting reservation?

Yes, you can add it (or any DP) at full rate up to 5 days prior to arrival. This will not change your reservation number. Simply call the WDTC (or your TA) and tell them that you want to add the DP to your package.

Where did you get the 40% off code? I'm planning our trip for Nov 29th through Dec 7th & was waiting to get an email code/offer from Disney. I got one a few months back but it expired at the end of January (before I had the exact dates for our trip!) so now I don't have any codes/offers. What should I do?

I think if you have a room only reservation and want to add the qs plan, it would change the ressie to a package. I have read that doing that, you essentially have to cancel the room only and book a package....refund the room only ressie $$ and have to pay the $200 (?) package deposit. I'm not sure how they would figure the 40% discount into the new package, if at all?

Side note: If you are not familiar, I'd check out the prices and pics of the food, we found to save alot more by paying oop for meals, most of which were qs. Some days we just weren't hungry that much to get a large meal and split one.

That's what we did. We saved several vacations at different resorts and times of the year. I then got a pin code about 2 weeks later!!!!

I know you wrote "nevermind" since she booked the CR with the 7-day PHs which makes it a package, but in case someone else reads this and isn't aware...

The 40% discount is only for the room so that is the only component that is discounted. It doesn't mean that you can only book a "room only", it simply means that the discount is applicable only to the room.

This will be our first trip since the DP started that we won't be getting it. Since they took away the appetizer (except from the DxDP) and they excluded the tip and they include desserts with lunch and dinner (which we don't want) we're paying OOP, too our next trip.

Yes, I actually have tried that...I got one code probably about 6 months ago & have gone in my account since (I am OBSESSED with Disney & planning my vacation) to add more resorts & haven't gotten anymore correspondence from Disney Travel via email or regular snail mail. The one that I got before, you had to book by January 15th or something like that & I didn't have the exact dates of our trip yet. Now I have the dates & want to book, but no codes! :-( I'm also a Disney Visa customer & haven't gotten anything from there either. Maybe I'll try again with the online account & add some different vacation times. I set-up an account for my parents & they got tons of codes & keep throwing them away...because they only book through expedia or travelocity! Wish I could use theirs! lol Will keep trying...thanks for the info!

Done this 3x times - work/home/wife accounts... Nothing... Only one PIN ever. Last trip was the first one booked with Disney directly. The other ones have been done via AAA or conferences. Next trip was booked directly with them via a bounceback.

The PIN came to my work email. And of course, the offer was EXACTLY the same as our bounceback res. Got collections of DVDs and get emails every other day from them. Also, I'm a charter cardmember for the DVR.

Doesn't make any sense...

We usually drive down. However last trip was the first one we flew. But unless you will venture out of the complex, there's really no need to drive, specially if you have a dining plan.

That said, I'd rather drive to the parks if I stay at a value. Buses do get full. But never a problem when staying at a mod or deluxe.
