I'm waitin' on my pickle peeps! This is a continuation of Pickle I and II threads and a way to keep in touch because Facebook isn't a venue for chitchat. Everyone is welcome. :flower3:

Hi, Tracy. So glad you started a third "Pickles" series. I've missed everyone...it's been awhile since we've all been in touch.

Happy Valentine's Day and hope are other "pickles" show up.

Doing laundry today and gorcery shopping and then we are going to pack because we leave right from work tomorrow night for Storm Lake, Iowa, where Mark will wrestle in his Conference Championships which is the qualifier for Nationals. Not sure if he is going to make it as he is battling three injuries. I just told him to go out there and give it everything he had and leave it on the mat. What will be is what will be. We couldn't be more proud of him for his twelve years of dedication to the toughest sport in the world.

Hey Kat! Busy weekend indeed. I've had kids here all weekend and am ready to tear my hair out. Mark is watching Nascar, Cassie is fighting with her friend in the rec room and I am hiding with the laptop. Ugh. Hope you had a nice Valentine's day. Just another day here. My dirty laundry is giving me a nasty look. Suppose that is a clue? lol

I wish Markie luck with his last match. He has every reason in the world to be proud. Well done!

Heather, if you find this thread, you get a cookie! LOL

:lmao::lmao::lmao:

I hope all the Pickles had a nice Valentine's Day. Oldest son, Andy wouldn't let me cook, so he ordered and paid for a pizza. We're off in approximately eight hours for Storm Lake. I've been tearing up all morning...so hard to believe that wrestling will be over soon. :sad1::sad1:

Chocolate Chip????

Hi Pickles, I've missed you all!!!!!

Thanks for re-starting this, Tracy!!!

Kathy, good luck this morning, and good luck to Mark in his tournament!!!

I have off work today for President's day. The kids SHOULD go back to school tomorrow, but we are supposed to get another 6-8 inches of snow overnight. Last Tues. was their last day in school. For the sake of my sanity, I NEED them to go back. It was extremely hard to work last week with "I'm bored. There's nothing to do."

Awww, Kat. Put those tears away!! It's a wonderful day of treasured memories that you will always have and will continue to build on each and every day. You will have a lovely drive with your honey, holding hands, sipping coffee and chitchatting about your day. Once in a while you'll glance out the window and a warm smile will come over you as you reminisce about all those tournaments, meetings, fund raisers, hotel stays, nursed injuries, the valiant wins and the disappointing losses. Today is the turning of a new page in Mark's life... where he begins to follow in yours and Mark's footsteps. What shoes he has to fill! And he will, because he has learned from the best. Yes, a silent tear or two may fall, but I know you will both find yourself beaming with pride for the wonderful treasure that is your son.

I love you and will be smiling with you. :cloud9:

Just you wait until you get to do it all over with grandbabies!! In several years, of course. Woot! :yay:

Oh now you've gone and done it. Now I need the better picker up paper towels for the tears. Thank you for the sweet words, sweetie. They mean the world to me. Love you too.

Yay!! She found us. :cloud9: SO happy. Chocolate chip?! WHAT?! :scared1: Thin mints are out now. What is wrong with you!?!?!

Awesome that you have today off. I imagine that it's hard to get any work done with them in the house driving you bonkers. We are expecting some snow later in the week, but man, have you guys ever been dumped on. You've had more snow than we have in a season. It's crazy. I will ask the weather wizard to cut it out so they can go back to school and you can regain partial brain function. :teeth:

Gosh, I didn't mean to make ya cry. I wanted to make you smile.

"Bounty ... the quicker picker upper, starring Kathy S. Folks, this is a true testimony. If our paper towels can pick up this crying fool's puddles, they will pick up ANYTHING. Get yours today for the low price of a buck 99."

Can I be your agent?

We've missed you.

I'm sorry about your snow. I don't complain about ours anymore after I saw the effects of the snow out East--ouch! And I'm sorry the kids are driving you batty. It is a story like yours that makes me glad mine aren't young anymore (although there are days, like today with wrestling coming to an end, that I miss them).

Gosh, I didn't mean to make ya cry. I wanted to make you smile.

You can be my agent any time, any day! And I did smile through the tears.

I'm glad that you smiled. :)

Now I need to go fix my avatar. It's too big. Oh, and make a sig of some sort.

Mark's not even my kid, and I'm crying with that too!!! They grow up too fast, don't they???

Actually, I'd rather have Thin Mints, but I thought you all didn't get those up north. Thin Mints, please!

Is it possible to regain partial brain function???I thought I lost my mind years ago, but this week has just made it worse!!!

Yeah... While it was nice to have them home at first, it got tough after a few days of boredom for them. Since I work from home, I still had to work, just like any other day, and they wanted to be entertained.

Dude. Of course we have Thin Mints way up here in the frozen tundra. I hear Kari has a boatload of them... perhaps I should have her send you some since it would cost me more than my phone bill to ship them to you.

No joke. Friday was my mommy's birthday. Last Monday I went to the post office to see what an 8 1/2 x 12 envelope would cost to have it there by Friday. My two options were: within 5 or 6 days - $2.00. Within 4 or 5 days... $40.00!! No, that is not an extra zero. I called my mommy and told her how much I loved her and that her package might be a day late. :lmao: :lmao:

UGH!
I feel your pain on the postage...my parents live in Hawaii, so I know of what you speak.

Our good friends' DD's are in Girl Scouts, so I hope to be able to support them as well as my chocolate habit later this week!

Morning, Pickles!!! Happy Tuesday! The kids are back in school today!!!!:cool1::banana:

Good marnin' Heather. Happy birthday, girl! I hope you have a wonderful day, even though it's snowing like crazy. We are expecting it later on this afternoon and over night. Blech. I've definitely had enough of winter.

I sure hope Kathy made out okay. I thought of her. :) Off to make some lunch. Running a little late today. This migraine is kicking my butt. :(

Hugs, birthday girl! :cake: :bday:party:

Thanks!!!!
The snow has stopped here!!!
Hope your Migraine is feeling a little better! I hate those @#*& things!!!

Lucky you. The snow is just starting here. I could just crawl into a hole and die right now. :sad1:

I hope your birthday is turning out to be a great day!

eh, It's just a day, and it means I'm getting old, but I guess it beats the alternative.

:hug:Hang in there, Pickle!
