Hey Folks! So our friends who just came back from the Wonder told me that Pikey is leaving DCL. Does anyone know if this is true? He is one of our favorite DCL staff....very popular and very entertaining.

I saw him on the Wonder in January, but didn't get a chance to talk with him. That was the first time I'd seen him since our December 2005 cruise on the Magic when he was calling Bingo.

I did get a picture of my daughter with Pikey on our January cruise! Ironically, she wasn't even born when we met him on our first cruise in 2005.

Yes, sadly it is true. He's a friend of mine on Facebook. This is his last week.

one week to go, before the end of 5 amazing years, the family, friends and experience that i have gained over this period will never be forgotten, i thank you all, and remember...YOU STAY CLASSY!

Well I know Pikey is leaving. He made my cruises great so I'll miss him, but so many other great crew members on the ships I know as well to make my cruises great like he did.

I'm guessing since Pikey is leaving his wife will be leaving also?

Sad he is leaving - was hoping he would be on the Jan 2011 repo to the West Coast.

Say it isn't so. That is so sad . Pikey is such an awesome CM. Will miss him alot.

First we lose Ian and now Pikey........ They both made our first cruise so memorable and then as a bonus we got Pikey for 15 days on the EB Repo in 2008. We were beyond estatic when we saw Pikey at the Sailaway. The last cruise just wasn't the same without Pikey along for the trip, but he had gone back to the Wonder. DD isn't going to be a happy camper when I tell her....

All I know is that they'd bought a house back home. Maybe it's time to settle in and start a family. Hard to do that when you're both out at sea.

People have asked (me included). My guess would be that he has been with DCL for 5 years now, which is a very good amount of time with a cruise line, IMO, and now that he is married, he and Nicola are ready to settle down and lead a semi-normal life. Start a family, etc.....

I talked with Nicola on facebook and she told me he was leaving DCL to try entertainment in England, which would go with what I guessed about them wanting to have a more normal life instead of on a cruise ship
