My computer has a virus! :headache: I am taking it into the shop this evening to get worked on so that means I probably won't be able to update this weekend. :guilty:

Ug, viruses suck.
I have no clue how they even get through.
I run scanning everyday.

Luckily my laptop is owned by my dh work.
He gets a new one every six months and he can
give the old one's to family members. When they
break down or get viruses, my dh company wants their IT people to fix them,
we can't take them anywhere.
Anyways, mine took over 2 days to get the virus out.

We had a great time at dinner as always and we decided that we did not want to miss our last night in the dining rooms the next day so we decided to cancel our Palo reservation which we had made before the cruise for our last night onboard. Shocking I know!

We cancelled a speciality resturant too on our last evening. I'm like your mom, I didn't like the menu. Plus, I didn't know half of the items on the menu and everything sounded like it was cooked with olives and I hate olives.

I know I am getting ahead, but does Disney want you to tip everyone on your last evening? I sort of had a problem with the large amount of money, we had to pay in tips. I have no problem tipping the person that cleans our rooms, and the waters, but between the 4 of us, it really added up.

Yes, it is expected that you tip your room attendant and your three servers. It really isn't that much though when you look at the breakdown of prices and they certainly work hard for those tips. I can see how it seems like a lot though when you add it up and hand it all over all at once.

7-night Disney cruise suggested tipping
Dining Room Server - $4 per person per day = $56 total for two people
Assistant Server - $3 pp per day = $42
Head Server - $1 pp per day = $14

Total dining tips for 7 night cruise (keep in mind that the servers are working the restaurants and counter service places during the day too) = $112

So if you think about it if you were at WDW and eating at a table service restaurant every lunch and dinner your total tip amount would be even higher than that.

The stateroom attendant suggested tip is $4 per day per person so $56 in total for the cruise.

Hi Lessa !!

Hi Rosie!

Well I STILL do not have my computer back but I managed to steal some time on Erich's laptop to get the photos uploaded. Update coming soon!

After dinner Mom and I went up to Studio Sea for Mickey Mania! There were not enough kids in the audience this time around so they were going to allow all adult teams, unfortunately Mom and I did not get picked. :guilty: After the game I saw that Daisy and Donald were out in the lobby for pictures. The line for Daisy was cut off so I had to satisfy myself with taking some pictures from above.

I then ran down and jumped in line for Donald and was only the third person back. :thumbsup2

After that it was time to head back to the room and get changed into some comfy clothes for the night.

Now normally we would be going to bed at this time but this night was special. We were staying up late to catch the premEAR of UP at sea! In 3D! They were showing it right at midnight as it would be officially the release day. How fun! Making it extra special was that one of the directing animators was onboard the ship with us and would be introducing the movie. :thumbsup2

Mom and I got there an hour before the movie was scheduled to start as we knew it was going to be packed, and we were right! There was also a dessert buffet being held in Lumieres that night but I was way too stuffed from dinner to even contemplate eating more.

One the theatre opened we grabbed some seats right in the middle of the theatre where the aisle runs in front of you so that we could have lots of legroom. Mom saved the seats and I went and grabbed some quick pictures of the shop windows as they are located right outside the theatre.

Once it got close to midnight Dave Mullens, the Pixar animator, came up on stage to introduce the film. He talked about how much he loved working on the film and then he presented us with a special treat! He had gone around the studio with a video camera so that all the Pixar animators that worked on the film could say hello to us, the cruise audience. It was very funny as most of the animators were not warned in advance so some of the intros were pretty hilarious.

After that hilarious and special intro the film began. I loved the short that came in front of the movie with the clouds and storks, very sweet.

What can I say about UP? It was fantastic! It leaves you balling your eyes out in the first ten minutes and then delivers the laughs while still managing to pull on the heartstrings. I loved every minute of that movie and when it was over I gladly stood up with the rest of the audience and applauded. Now usually I think it is really weird to applaud at the end of a movie as nobody that was involved in the movie can hear the praise. In this instance though it was wonderful as somebody intricately involved in the production of the movie was right there in the audience to hear our approval. Getting to see the PremEAR at sea was such fun and I immediately called Erich at home from my cell phone when we got back to the room to brag. That's right, my cell phone worked at sea although Mom's did not. You don't want to know what the 30 second phone call cost me. :scared1:

It was now close to 2am and we were all tuckered out. My throat was really hurting so sucked on a cough drop, downed some Nyquil and then it was time to go to bed and dream sweet dreams as in the morning we would be at Castaway Cay!

Very cool that you got to see UP like that. :cool1:

What the heck is that towel animal? :rotfl: Dh thinks it's a lobster.

That must have been an incredible experience to be there with the animators of Up and getting to see the movie on the ship!! WOW! I just ADORE that movie and cry everytime I see it!! I was so excited when the movie won 2 Golden Globes!! :woohoo:

What a special treat to be able to see the movie on opening day and probably one of the first to see it.:thumbsup2 Even better that there was an animator there!!!!!!

Castaway Cay--nuff said.

I loved Up...but yeah...really sad in the beginning!!!!! That was awesome how you got to see it! I would have wanted to brag, too!!!

Yeah, an update! We didn't schedule Palo on our cruise - it was our first cruise, and we were enjoying the dining room, our servers and the company of our tablemates! I don't think we really knew about brunch, or we aren't breakfast eaters, anyway. We'll definately try Palo next time!:thumbsup2

So cool you got to see UP on opening day! How fun to know some of the back story from the creators! Looking forward to some Serenity Bay!
