Here's what a little PIXIE DUST can do ....... a dining review+pics COMPLETED!!!!!

Thanks for the update. My son loved the Halloween party and wants to go back. That Tiramisu seems yummy

We went to several MVMCPs, several P&PP, but this were our first MNSSHPs! WE loved them!! I so hope they start them early again next summer - we want to go there again!! :thumbsup2
As for the Tiramisu - that was one of the best I ever had at WDW!

Yes four weeks with free dining is always good and upgrading to the Deluxe is even better :)

Great update, love the ghost pic :)

I need to have a look and find some more of those photopass photos as we had several more ghost pics taken - one with the hitchhiking ghosts - hilarious!

Yes, I agree, Free Disney Food is just the BEST! :rotfl2:

I so look forward to catching up on your reviews each day
Thanks for all your effort :thumbsup2

I am glad you like them - it lets me relive our last vacation! Helps to pass time until the next one! ;)

Great review of Tony's! I wouldn't mind trying it one day but we're planning on going to Tutto Italia and Mama Melrose next time- I think that's enough Italian food for one trip (even though it's my favourite).

It took us a long time to try Tony's too - it is just so convenient before a party!
We like Mama Melrose, esp. for the Fantasmic package, but we LOVE, LOVE, Tutto Italia!

Your meal at Tony's looks good. We have never had any luck there. I always say that I won't go back but end up trying it again every couple of trips.

Sorry to hear that your trip is coming to an end! Looking forward to the next one!

Maybe just ONE more try? We had tried to eat there several times, but always dumped the ADR in the end - I guess we will go back, just don't know when.

Yip, this is coming to an end, day 29 is our last day at WDW, but once I have finished this one I am going to start a pre dining report for our upcoming trip - only 22 more days to go - :scared1: ;)

I'm waiting to see what you're going to do with 22 snack credits. :scared1: ;)

We spent them all! :rotfl: I'll let you all know once I have finished my other reviews.

Hi! :goodvibes I really enjoyed reading your trip review and seeing all of your amazing food pictures!:thumbsup2:thumbsup2 You have given me some great ideas for our trip this year to Disney. Have you ever eaten at the Ya. Steakhouse in the YC/BC resort? I am looking forward to your next trip!:goodvibes :)

I am glad I could help you decide on some restaurants! Since you asked - no we have not dined at the Yachtsman Steakhouse YET! I have it on my list of must does during the time when we are on the DxDDP.
But my next pre dining report is coming up shortly!

Tony's looks yummy! I'm disappointed that Tom's dish wasn't that spicy-- I always imagined it would be super-spicy, which I would have loved.

Our first time at Tony's we didn't have a good experience and haven't been back since. Your food looks yummy though. We are looking at cruises on the Dream for 2011 and might stop by WDW for the MNSHP. Thanks for all the great dining reviews! In 5 times there, we still have so much to try:)

Tony's seems to get very mixed reviews - I guess we were lucky! The food was really nice!
We are thinking about a cruise on the Disney Dream in 2011 too! :cloud9: and I am trying to figure out IF we might be able to do a west coast - cruise - east coast Disney vacation. Dreaming, dreaming, dreaming ........

Ditto! I'm mentally using up those snack credits and am curious to see what you did.

Well, the Austrian Scrooge McDuck, aka me, used up ALL the credits! :lmao: and I even have a few photos to prove it!

How sad is that receipt?:sad2:

Also sad this report is ending soon but happy a new one will be along soon, just like buses really:lmao:

Are you going to share your pre trip ADRs?....pretty please!

And, yes, we decided to have 4 nights in Miami, 5 nights at YC, upgraded from free to DLX DDP again through the british site woo hoo!. (BTW, we booked via cashbackkings as quidco have reduced cashback to 3% instead of 4.5%) then 1 night at Dolphin room only to use up the dlx credits, few nights in Clearwater, few nights at HRH and probably somewhere special for the last few nights!!:yay::yay::yay:

Sounds like a great trip you have planned - AND it looks like you are going to be at WDW the same time in August we will be there! Time to celebrate!! :woohoo:

Yes, a pre dining report is coming up - I just want to finish this one! I have quite some new restaurants planned - we are both getting so excited about this upcoming trip!!

We enjoyed Tony's overall on our last trip and would eat there again someday. I just wouldn't get the basic spaghetti, as we didn't care much for the sauce. But the flatbreads and calzones we had were quite good...and you can't beat the location!

I am also sad that you are our of TS credits...as they signals this report is almost over. But I too look forward to seeing what you did with your snack credits! Was there a visit to Goofy's Candy Co.???

Hm, now that sounds interesting - I just love flatbreads - well, maybe we'll got back to Tony's rather sooner than later! :thumbsup2
Snack credit report is coming up shortly! ;)

Just been reading this, what great reviews, and sounds like you had a great holiday. Thanks for posting. :)

Thanks for reading - we had a blast during this vacation! But how can you not have a fun time - it's DISNEY paired with free food! :rotfl2:

Tony's looks yummy; and all that candy--oh my (my hips just grew another inch looking at it all). I've loved following your report and can't wait until the next one and a report on CSR too, I hope (and I hope it's good!).

Hi Kathy! It's so nice to see you here!
Yes, we enjoyed Tony's! And my pupils enjoyed most of the candy! :lmao: I had to pack it very carefully not to go over the weight limit for our luggage, but my pupils were delighted with the amount of sweets we brought home and really dug into it! Not much left for MY hips! :rotfl2: and not that my hips would have needed any more! :lmao:

I hope to finish this report over the weekend and then start my new one! We ended up with quite a few reservations and I can't wait to hear what you think about it!
AND we are so excited about CSR! I bet we will love it there, don't worry! :thumbsup2

Day 29, Sept 12

Casey's Corner

It was time for us to leave our retreat at Old Key West! :scared1: :sad2: So we sadly packed up all our stuff, left most of the luggage with luggage services and headed to the park we always spend our last day at - the Magic Kingdom.
We arrived there around 10.30 and strolled through the shops, had a few last photopass photos taken in front of the castle and then decided to try one more new eatery - Casey's Corner.

My first Hot Dog!! And probably my last. I do apologize to all of you that love that kind of food, but my Austrian palate just didn't get along with it! :lmao:
We shared that limp and soggy bun, which came with a skinless warmish sausage. I tried it "au natural" and I did NOT like it. We put some stuff on it (sorry I forgot what, but I think I can remember pickles, ketchup and some cheese sauce), but it did not improve much.

The fries were yummy though - fresh and hot and enough salt on them.

I liked the cute napkins and the cup! These were the first ones we saw, even after the second MNSSHP!

Next up - Columbia Harbour House

I have to agree while I do like hot dogs I think there are sooo many other things to try!!! Now CHH is awesome !!!!

I have to agree while I do like hot dogs I think there are sooo many other things to try!!! Now CHH is awesome !!!!

Now, even though I was thoroughly disappointed in the Hot Dog at the MK, I still think the ones Alan (Renfroe) sells look stunning and yummy. If we ever get close to his place I think we MUST try them! :lmao:
We love CHH - review coming right up - I am working on it! ;)

Still Day 29, Sep 12

Columbia Harbour House

We have a few "traditions" when we are at WDW. One of them is to dine at California Grill shortly before we have to leave, one other is to spend the last day at the MK, and another one is to have something from the Columbia Harbour House. Now, we had 3 CS credits left, so we decided to share one meal there as well.

IMG_3748.jpg

We didn't want anything hot, so we decided to get the Anchors Aweigh Sandwich - white tuna with lettuce and tomato on toasted bread. We both love this sandwich, so we really enjoyed it.

IMG_3749.jpg

It came with Chips.

IMG_3750.jpg

The big surprise was the Apple Crisp. This is usually served cold but that day it was served warm. Not steaming hot, just nice and warm, which made it so much better than the one we had had on earlier trips.

So what did we actually cost Disney?
Columbia Harbour House = $ 15,10
20 CS credits = $ 375,20 (2 CS credits remain)
22 TS credits = $ 858,80
2 snack credits = $ 7,00 (22 snack credits remain)
all in all = $ 1256,10
(only accounting for the things covered by the DDP!! Not covering any items purchased OOP)

Next up - Enchanted Grove - and how we spent our snack credits ;) popcorn::

........ and still day 29, Sept 12

Enchanted Grove and how we used up the rest of our snack credits

After lunch at CHH we spent a little more time at the MK and we could not leave without spending one more snack credit on a Raspberry Lemonade Slush!

IMG_3751.jpg

This is one of the best drinks I have ever had. Tart and icy cold and it takes me forever to finish one, since my mouth feels frozen after a while! :rotfl2:

Well, I promised to let you all know what else we spent our snack credits on.
We had 24 snack credits to start with -
2 snack credits were spent on Magic Cookie Bars (already told you about)
1 snack credit was spent on the Raspberry Lemonade slush $ 3,50
2 snack credits were spent on Pop Corn $ 6,20

1 snack credit was spent on a Mickey Ice Cream Cookie bar $ 3

4 snack credits were spent on Jawbreakers $ 12,60

IMG_3778.jpg

2 snack credits were spent on large Diet Cokes $ 5,30

2 snack credits were spent on bottled water $ 5

So what did we actually cost Disney?
22 CS credits = $ 390,30 (2 CS credits remain)
24 TS credits = $ 858,80
24 snack credits = $ 78,30
all in all = $ 1327,40
(only accounting for the things covered by the DDP!! Not covering any items purchased OOP)

Next up - late lunch at Wolfgang Puck's Express

I love the tuna sandwich at CHH! Yummy.

Love the snack credits:lmao:

Forgive my ignorance, but is a jawbreaker a gobstopper?:confused3

And where do the magic cookie bars come from?:confused3

And where do the magic cookie bars come from?:confused3

I knew I would cause a few  with my snack credits!

I had to google gobstoppers - and yes, it is the same as a jawbreaker. Very LARGE and HARD candy! :lmao:
We use the jawbreakers and lollies as treats for our friends kids. They love them all!

Magic Cookie Bars are truely yummy! We buy them at the Riverside Mill at Port Orleans Riverside. Don't know if they are sold anywhere else. I always take a few of them home and keep them in an airtight container. They bring back sweet WDW memories when I nibble them at teatime!

Gotta agree with you on the hotdogs, not my thing either. Now the tuna sandwich at CHH is more to my liking!:thumbsup2

:thumbsup2
You did a great job with the snack credits!
Those jumbo jawbreakers made my jaws hurt just looking at them. I envied you on the frozen raspberry lemonade! :cloud9:

Love the lollipops...I never saw Tinkerbell lollipops. I have to get that for my friend kids next trip. I love the tuna sandwich at CCH.

Karin - I have to tell you....that hot dog looks gross! :scared1: LOL. But try not to judge all hot dogs by that sorry example.

While I am by no means a huge hot dog fan myself, and most of them give me a very bad feeling in my stomach, there is one hotdog place you might like. If you ever find yourself traveling to the Niagara Falls/Buffalo, New York area, pay a visit to Ted's Hot Dogs. There are several of them around Buffalo (and actually there is one in Tempe, Arizona as well). You won't be sorry!

And I love how you used your snack credits!

Is it wrong to get so excited about trying the CHH Tuna sandwich :rotfl:
I will certainly make sure I head over for one in March :yay:

I like CC but I must agree that hot dog doesn't look v appetising.

I have heard rave reviews about CHH, that sandwich looked pretty good.

Loving all the snacks, esp the frozen lemonade slushy, really refreshing and yummy :)

That Mickey Ice Cream bar looks sooooo good, wish I had one now :goodvibes

Bleh, I am NOT a hot dog eater. That just looked...icky! I am a fan of pigs in a blanket, though-- mini hotdogs wrapped in puff pastry and baked. Those are delish, and you'd probably enjoy that far more than a Casey's dog!
I LOVE LOVE LOVE that you guys ended up at WPE again, hahaha.

Gotta agree with you on the hotdogs, not my thing either. Now the tuna sandwich at CHH is more to my liking!:thumbsup2

I am happy I am not alone on the Hot Dogs! ;) And I am SO with you on the tuna sandwich - great minds, think alike and seem to have the same palate! :rotfl2:

:thumbsup2

Those jumbo jawbreakers made my jaws hurt just looking at them. I envied you on the frozen raspberry lemonade! :cloud9:

I love that raspberry lemonade slush! I need to have one every trip! :goodvibes
And since I am the "Scrooge McDuck" in this family I do not leave any credits behind and our friends kids just love the lollies and jawbreakers.

Love the lollipops...I never saw Tinkerbell lollipops. I have to get that for my friend kids next trip. I love the tuna sandwich at CCH.

We got them all at Goofy's! They have a display on what is a snack credit. They had several different lollies and even some that were 3.95! :scared1:

Dave, I will definitely try another Hot Dog, just not at Casey's! :rotfl2: And since you mentioned the Hot Dog place in Buffalo, Mary Ellen and Joe ARE from Buffalo, so, another reason to pay them a visit! ;) :lmao:

Is it wrong to get so excited about trying the CHH Tuna sandwich :rotfl:
I will certainly make sure I head over for one in March :yay:

No, it is NOT wrong to get excited about the CHH food! That sandwich is just so good and such a difference from the usual park food! Try to get a seat upstairs, it's not as crazy and looking down on Liberty Square, while munching some yummy food makes for a great break!

I like CC but I must agree that hot dog doesn't look v appetising.

CHH :thumbsup2 and the Mickey Ice Cream cookie sandwich is one of my favourites! Less messy than the Mickey bar in the summer heat! ;)

I am so glad to hear that I am not the only one who wasn't impressed with the Hot Dog! Your pigs in a blanket sound yum - we have something similar here, which I really enjoy, but our sausages are different!
And WPE is ALWAYS the last meal of the trip, ;) Our vacation would not end on a fun note if I could not have another dose of Wolfi! :rotfl2:

I heard that the Mickey Bars get really messy, which does not bode well for me :)
