I am looking at possibly getting a Baby Jogger City Mini. Between that and a Peg Pliko.
I would really like to test drive both (no stores near us have them). Can you City Mini owners tell me what store you got yours from so I can see if there is a store somewherein fairly close driving range for me to test drive one?

Also, when your child is sitting in the stroller can they sit upright, or is there always a bit of a recline because it is a jogging type stroller? We have one that is a true jogger we use at the beach, but dd hates the seat (sling type).

Does anyone have the tray attatchment? I was wanting this for our trip to put dd's snacks and cup on, but didnt know if you have to remove this when you fold the stroller or if it stays on.
Thanks for any help you can give me. I know there are lots of City Mini users here on the Dis

bump....I know you guys are out there. These strollers are recommended all the time.

I love my Citi-Mini!

I got mine at Babies R Us.

I've never used another jogger so I can't compare, but the seat does recline a little more than the Graco stroller I have (If you have the Orlando Stroller Rental Ad at the top of your page you can see the recline). I wouldn't say the seats are like a sling. They're padded so they're firm-ish. And DS doesn't look...crowded when he sits in it (like a sling seat I think would).

The reason I hesitated on getting this stroller for so long was because I really wanted one with a tray. I never got around to buying the tray and I've never really missed it (I did get a cup holder attachment for me). I do have a tether for the sippy cup so it doesn't go overboard.

Thanks for responding...I called the closest BRU (2 hrs away) and they dont carry them. Since I know you got yours there, maybe I can call one to the north of me. We only have a TRU that sells about 4 strollers (that arent travel systems). It is pitiful!
Glad to hear you love it. At this point my main concern is the seat, since dd hates the other jogger. It looks like it has more of a recline than say the Pliko, but I really wish one was near so I could try it out and see for myself. I would hate to order something this big and then have to send it back:scared1:

I have a Baby Jogger City Classic and my oldest (4) LOVES it, but my youngest (1) is not a huge fan due to the recline. I have heard you can order a baby jogger back board for around $20 to slip in behind the seat (there is a velcro spot that is there for this reason on the back of the seat). I have not got around to ordering it, but this will make the seat more upright. Also, you do not need to remove the tray on the BJCM.

I do have a Peg P3 that I LOVE. The shade is awsome, the recline, fabrics, snack tray, fold, ect. Also, if you are planning on having a second child, the P3 has the stand on the back for a rider so that you would not need to purchase a double stroller.

Really, with these two strollers, you can not go wrong.

Have you considered renting this stroller through Magic strollers so you can get a first hands use out of it before commiting to it?

We love our City Mini. It does have a slight recline compared to some strollers I've seen, but so far it doesn't bother DD. I like that it reclines fully, and does so easily.

We don't have the tray yet, although we're looking into getting one before our next trip. We do have the Sunshine Kids Buggy Buddy instead of a plain cup holder or the Baby Jogger parent console; I highly recommend it.

As for where we got it, we ordered it from Amazon after trying it out at the local Babies 'R' Us. If that's not an option for you, my only suggestion would be to see if there are any boutique baby stores in your area and call around about it.

No more children here- we have four, the oldest is turning 20 and the youngest is 2. I wont need the stand on the back of the Pliko for another child:rotfl2:, but that would be a nice perk for those with kids close together. I dont want to rent, because I do want a new stroller for home use as well as Disney and dont want to ''throw away" rental money that could go towards a new stroller. Since you have both of the strollers that I am looking at, do you prefer one over the other? Does one have a better basket underneath than the other? I am just so stressed about this as we are talking about dropping a couple hundred dollars. I have a Mac Quest that I love, but want something a bit different for a change. Glad to hear you dont have to take the tray off the City Mini to fold it. That would be a pain.

I will try and see if we have any botique stores, but Im thinking I wont find any. I thought I lived in a pretty big city until I go looking for strollers:rotfl2:
I do have the Sunshine Buggy Buddy too that I use on my Mac. A lady in the mall was just asking how to get one the other day.

We that the BJCM- got it esp for Disney. Love the sun shade, easy fold and ease of steering. Like OP stated there is a little bit of a recline- not upright like the P3. DS2 loves the stroller. I had a P3 and hated it- hard to steer as ds got bigger. I did love the shade and recline of the P3 but that was about it. I got mine at USA BABY. They were the only store near me that carried them. Have u tried the Baby Jogger web site for retailers in ur area??

Also if u purchased it on Babies R Us website I believe u can return it to the store. I see alot of online items in the sale section of our BRU store. Also try Criagslist to see if anyone is selling theirs. I usually see the next step up on CL.

I don't have the child's tray-- dont' really need it. We have a Mac Techno XT that we also use = so we are use to no cup tray. I do have the parent organizer. Though I have only had it since Aug and it already is falling apart. I have to call BJ bc the plastic rod poked through the organizer fabric. I do love the organizer. We would put frozen juice packs in the insulated section and they would stay colder longer in the Aug heat.

We are like u== our oldest just turned 20 and youngest is 2. We are done except for foster babies that we just use the infant carriers for. I figured if I use this stroller for a few yrs I can CL and get some money back on it. We have used our Mac in past yrs but I had a shoulder injury and pushing it 1 handed was too much. I found the CM soo easy to push- turn on a dime.

I would go w/ the BJCM hands down!

Thanks for your input. I didnt think about checking the BJ website for possible retailers. I will go do that now. I have been checking CL, but no luck on either stroller. Thanks again:thumbsup2

Good luck in finding one. You will LOVE it. Also ck w/ BRU to see if they will take internet returns. I am almost sure they do.

I found searching CL you might just need to put in Jogging stroller or baby jogger. Some people don't list it by the brand name.

Thanks, and yes that is what I have been putting in on CL- just jogging stroller. I think that I am having a hard time finding one on CL because they arent anywhere to be found in my area new, so hard to find used. I will check with BRU online and see about their online purchases return policy:thumbsup2

I looked all over our CL and couldn't find them nearby. I found alot in NYC but that is almost a 2 hr drive.

Good luck w/ BRU - hopefully they do internet returns. Sometimes u can use a coupon-- not sure if the brand is exempt from coupons.

You should be able to order the PE Board for the Mini from Baby Jogger or a BJ retailer for about $8 plus shipping. :)

We bought our BJ Mini 2 years ago when they first came out for our now 3 1/2 yr old DD. I actually bought mine online from a Sporting Goods store when they were having a 25% Off sale so got a great deal! :cool1:

I would suggest even checking out any sporting good types of stores in your area. Many times, they carry some type of stroller with Baby Jogger being one of the popular brands. Plus you might find a great deal like I did. I would have never thought too look at one unless I saw the tip online. I bought mine from Moosejaw.com and then a second for a gift from SportsAuthority.com and both has free shipping and were on sale.

We bought the child tray as well as the Liquid Holster cup holder last year but have never used either one yet. :rolleyes1 My DD is 3 1/2 and is about 40 inches and when we tried the tray, it still seemed to sit too high for her. So we haven't bothered with it.

I have wanted to try the belly bar instead but don't want to pay full price for it. LOL I don't really have her eat anything messy in her strollers anyway so really no need for the tray for us. I got a good deal on it so bought it and now it just sits here.

I got my City mini double an single from mystroller.com. I asked for a discount and they gave me 15% off plus they ship free and don't charge tax! I love both strollers.

LOVE our City Mini Double, as well! If you go to the Baby Jogger site you can search for stores that sell - we found a very small, boutique Children's store in the area that allowed us to test drive (and then buy online). It was the only place within 2 hours, and I never would have found it without locating it on the bj site. Good luck!

Thanks, I tried searching the BJ site for a close store, but came up with nothing. I went ahead and ordered one from diapers.com as they have free return shipping. I am hoping that I dont need to return it though, and that I will fall in love with it as others have. I got a great deal on it as they matched the price on albeebaby.com plus I got another 10% off for it being my first order:banana:
The stroller came to $173:banana::banana:
It was $196 on sale at albeebaby. They charge restocking fees if you return and I think you have to pay for shipping.
My BJCM should be here tomorrow and I sure am excited!! Guess Ill be sitting by the door waiting for it to come:thumbsup2

Your girls sure are adorable by the way:hug:

If your kids are used to the tray, I would get it. I think I ordered the tray and console from Amazon and love them both. I use the tray for longer stroller trips or when we go to Strollerfit and she has snacks. But it is a bit harder to put her in with the tray in. The tray is super easy to click in so I tend to keep it in the bottom basket and take it in and out as needed. I like the console....I love the insulated part and all.
In fact I was just going to purchase a Mac Quest today....but I think you all talked me out of it. We have the BJCM and DD (almost 2) is not thrilled. She is a bigger girl so maybe she is too tight? But you are all right, so much easier to manuever and stroll compared to regular strollers. Thanks for saving me $200!
Anyone buy the BJ stroller bag??? What do you use to travel with it? I am worried the airport attendants won't know how to carry it. I am thinking about making some sort of carrying case.

I have a baby trend jogging stroller rain cover that I use w/ my BJCM single. It works fairly well. It folds up and stores in the back seat pouch. The only drawback is DS2 hates when it is on -- he keeps kicking it w/ his feet. It drives me nuts. Thankfully we don't use it soo often

I got it at BRU for under $20
