I'm going to Disney a couple of days early before the PCC 2.0 and I'm seriously considering going to MVMCP. Has anyone done this? I read somewhere that when you buy the event ticket, you can get into the park early (at 4pm). Can you leave (like for dinner) and then come back, or do you have to stay once you are in? Is is worth the extra cost?

UPDATE: I've started a thread titled "Pre Cruise DIS Meets" If you want to meet up in the MK and go to the MVMCP post it there and I'll keep it updated.

Yes, we've done it and it's lots of fun. Yes, you can get in around 4, and you don't need a day time ticket, just the event ticket. I'm not sure about leaving, I would assume so, but why would you want to? You should just find something to eat at Magic Kingdom.

Thanks for the info....this will change things up a bit. We were thinking of having dinner on Friday at Chef Mickey's, but now we will just eat in the park and do CM on Saturday. This works out great. It will give us extra time in MK so we are so rushed on Saturday and then maybe we could leave MK and go to Boardwalk for a DISer meet.

I think that is a great idea. You are paying to be there, so you might as well take advantage of it. But, if you want to do Chef Mickeys, why don't you eat an early supper (early as possible) and then head to the party. The party doesn't start until 7, I believe. I think the thing I would just avoid is leaving and coming back. That is always so time consuming.

I totally agree. I think we'll just eat at CM on Saturday. Thanks again for the info. I'm sure between now and early next year, I'll think of more questions.

We always try to grab the very last ADR at The Plaza. We enter at 4pm, play for a bit, have dinner, then when dinner is over, it's party time. :)

DH was talking about us doing the Christmas Party one night before the cruise. We were there the last 2 years and really enjoyed ourselves. We love Mickey's Night before Christmas show, and the fireworks are awesome!!:thumbsup2

Thanks to all for the positive feedback.

That's a great idea...we are thinking of having dinner at Tony's. Thanks.

I've been talking to my wife about going to the party. We went to Mickey's-Not-So-Scary Halloween Party last year and Mickey's Pirate and Princess Party two years ago and had a blast. I'm glad to hear other cruisers are considering going.

Have they posted the dates for MVMCP? We will be down first week of Dec and are interested in going.

A group of us did MVMCP last year during DAP. One of my favorite memories from that weekend is the group of about 15 of us working from Pirates through an empty Magic Kingdom on the way out!! It was awesome!!

We've done the Christmas party the past 2 years, I think the first date in December each time. We LOVED it, and will be doing it again this year ;) And yes, you can get in at 4 even though the party stuff doesn't start until 7. They must have had a ton of people trying to sneak into the party without a ticket, because this past trip we were stopped constantly to show our wristbands. We saw CMs escorting MANY people out long after 7!

It would be cool if a bunch of us go to MVMCP on Friday before the cruise, providing they have it that night. The dates should come out sometime in June, right?

Maybe that Thursday? The wife and I will be at our 2 yr. anniversary dinner that Friday!! lol

This past December looked like the event was offered every Tues. Thurs. and Fri. leading up to the week of Christmas. Great idea Cherinva, we hope we can join everyone!:thumbsup2

We are going to either Thur/or Fridays party before the cruise. I believe tickets go on sale at the same time as Mnsshp tix on May 1st, dates are usually available a few days before that.

I would be game for meeting up for that!

Sounds Great to me. I know the rules...I started it...I guess sometime after the dates are released, I'll put out a post and see how many are interested in meeting up and go from there.
