Here's what a little PIXIE DUST can do ....... a dining review+pics COMPLETED!!!!!

When DH and I were at Disney in December I took your advice and had lunch at WPE and tried Tom's favorite BBQ Beef foccacia melt and LOVED it! I finished with the creme brulee (a little piece of heaven). The very next day I took DH after a movie at DTD to the West Side WP and we shared a pepperoni/mushroom pizza (excellent) but they don't have creme brulee! So, we walked across DTD and waited in line only to find that they had run out of creme brulee! I did buy a chicken shinois salad to go which made a pretty good stirfry the next day. Thanks for getting us to try it! :goodvibes

Great WPE review. :) The food there appears to be consistently good, I had a couple of nice meals back in September. Looking forward to Tony's Town Square!

I agree on WPE being very consistant when it comes to food quality. We eat there VERY often and have yet to be disappointed! I am really hoping we will be able to make it to DTD on our travel day in February so we can have some WPE food to start off our vacation in style.

Oh no I understood you perfectly, its more about me getting my fluff stuffed head to understand/process it all :goodvibes

30 days of Disney is going to be awesome sauce for you :)

Yummy WPE review :)

Yes, we are so excited about spending another 4 weeks at Disney in August and the best of it ........ Disney is feeding us for free! :lmao:

We have decided to pay the difference for the DxDDP for the second part, but that only means MORE food, ;)

How wonderful you liked WPE too! The BBQ Beef Melt is wonderful - no wonder he has it so often and I have converted him to Creme Brulee too, :rotfl2:
I need to try their Chicken Shinois salad - I have heard so many good things about it, but there is always the 4 cheese pesto pizza holding me captive! :cloud9:

Four Cheese pesto is my fav WPE pizza, too!

:thumbsup2 Great minds think alike and definitely have the same tastes! :rotfl:

Still Day 28, Sept 11

Dinner at Tony's Town Square

After spending some time at the DHS we returned to our villa, did even more packing (travelling for 4 weeks leaves you with A LOT of stuff to take home! ;)) and relaxed a little before we got ready for our second Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party and dinner at Tony's Town Square before the party.

So we arrived at the MK early, strolled up Main Street and walked around for a bit before we checked in at Tony's. There were already a lot of people waiting, most of them all dressed up for the party!

After about 10 minutes we were led to our table, a booth this time.

Our table was decorated again with Mickey Confetti, since our ADR reservationist had noted on ALL our ADRs that this was my birthday trip!

Our server brought out some warm rolls and some olive oil for dipping and some butter.

IMG_3726.jpg

I had the Grilled Pork Tenderloin with Mushrooms, Caper Butter Sauce and Spaghettini. The Tenderloin was fork tender and went so well with the Caper Butter Sauce. The Pasta was a bit overcooked and I think it would have gone better with a more creamy side dish. But I really enjoyed it and it was a HUGE helping - couldn't finish it!

Tom had the Seafood Diavoli - Linguini pasta with Clams, Mussels, Calamari, Shrimp, and Salmon in a spicy Tomato sauce. It was not as spicy as he thought it would be, but there was lots of seafood and he really enjoyed it.

IMG_3731.jpg

Tom had the Spumoni - layers of ice cream with pistachio nuts and cherries. Even though Tom ate it I was a little disappointed, it was very basic ice-cream, rather frozen rock-hard and nothing special at all. Why was I disappointed in it? Well, because of this .........

IMG_3729.jpg

....... the Tiramisu - espresso soaked lady fingers, whipped mascarpone and dark chocolate shavings. YES, this was a very good Tiramisu - it is one of my favourite desserts and I get rather picky with it - but this was very good. Nice coffee taste, soft and creamy - yummy!!

It was sad go get the bill, as it said that we had no more TS credits left and that meant we were close to the end of our vacation!

IMG_3732.jpg

So, after dinner we got out our hats - Tom had bought a "wide" bat hat with Mickey ears at an outlet mall and we were all set for the party!

We watched both parades and cracked up about the "horseless headman", watched Hallowishes from Main Street and were stunned by it and rode quite a few rides, but Mickey urged us to do something else ........
yes, you guessed it, my little guy made us visit ALL the trick or treat stations!

And he was really pleased with the end result! ;)

So what did we actually cost Disney?
21 CS credits = $ 375,20 (3 CS credits remain)
Tony's Town Square = $ 62,30
22 TS credits = $ 796,50
2 snack credits = $ 7,00 (22 snack credits remain)
all in all = $ 1241,-
(only accounting for the things covered by the DDP!! Not covering any items purchased OOP)

Next up - Casey's Corner

Great update! Can't wait to meet you in a few weeks!:yay:

Thanks Kat!

Tom and I are so excited to meet you in just a few more weeks! :woohoo: Now I can't wait for the trip to start! :wizard:

Great WPE review and photos - the food there looks great. :)

You need to try it for yourself next time! We just LOVE the food and service at WPE. For our upcoming trip we have planned several visits there! And we are only staying for a week! :lmao:

Yes four weeks with free dining is always good and upgrading to the Deluxe is even better :)

Great update, love the ghost pic :)

I so look forward to catching up on your reviews each day
Thanks for all your effort :thumbsup2

Great review of Tony's! I wouldn't mind trying it one day but we're planning on going to Tutto Italia and Mama Melrose next time- I think that's enough Italian food for one trip (even though it's my favourite).

Your meal at Tony's looks good. We have never had any luck there. I always say that I won't go back but end up trying it again every couple of trips.

Sorry to hear that your trip is coming to an end! Looking forward to the next one!

Hi! :goodvibes I really enjoyed reading your trip review and seeing all of your amazing food pictures!:thumbsup2:thumbsup2 You have given me some great ideas for our trip this year to Disney. Have you ever eaten at the Ya. Steakhouse in the YC/BC resort? I am looking forward to your next trip!:goodvibes :)

Tony's looks yummy! I'm disappointed that Tom's dish wasn't that spicy-- I always imagined it would be super-spicy, which I would have loved.

Our first time at Tony's we didn't have a good experience and haven't been back since. Your food looks yummy though. We are looking at cruises on the Dream for 2011 and might stop by WDW for the MNSHP. Thanks for all the great dining reviews! In 5 times there, we still have so much to try:)

How sad is that receipt?:sad2:

Also sad this report is ending soon but happy a new one will be along soon, just like buses really:lmao:

Are you going to share your pre trip ADRs?....pretty please!

And, yes, we decided to have 4 nights in Miami, 5 nights at YC, upgraded from free to DLX DDP again through the british site woo hoo!. (BTW, we booked via cashbackkings as quidco have reduced cashback to 3% instead of 4.5%) then 1 night at Dolphin room only to use up the dlx credits, few nights in Clearwater, few nights at HRH and probably somewhere special for the last few nights!!:yay::yay::yay:

We enjoyed Tony's overall on our last trip and would eat there again someday. I just wouldn't get the basic spaghetti, as we didn't care much for the sauce. But the flatbreads and calzones we had were quite good...and you can't beat the location!

I am also sad that you are our of TS credits...as they signals this report is almost over. But I too look forward to seeing what you did with your snack credits! Was there a visit to Goofy's Candy Co.???

Just been reading this, what great reviews, and sounds like you had a great holiday. Thanks for posting. :)
