Nov 2009 Family Reunion in Disney with pics! Final Update 3/22/10

Play and dine looks cute! We love TSM in our house!
You are lucky you got on because later that day when we saw you through the window it was broken! We waited and chatted with some CM who where really great and after about 20minutes it opened up and we where the 1st ones on it!!!!

We have never done playhouse disney and it was on the list for our only DHS day but learning that you have to sit on the floor, we will be taking it off the list. I guess I should have paid more attention to other trip reports because I never even clued in...thank goodness you did an update!

I don't think anyone will be disappointed though. More time to make it to VotLM and B&tB!!! (I think that my DH, DS and DFIL are gonna high tail it over to LMA....while we try to do the girlie stuff!!)

Another day of great character interaction! That is awesome. I hope we have as much luck. We have Storybook princess meal booked to make sure we see some princesses and then we will just hope that luck is with us for our journey around each park.

I always wonder exactly what is "breaking down" on these attractions? Glad u guys made it on though...don't you love it?

Don't get me wrong...there was nothing wrong with Playhouse Disney but it just didn't interest my crowd of girls so much. But there is so much to do at HS, that if you missed it to do other stuff, you won't be missing much!

God does have a great sense of humor huh? Well, I suppose for our budget's sake its a good thing we don't both love Disney cause we would be trying to get there several times a year if it were up to me

LOL how in the world could I add to the great disunc's disney travel knowledge????...but you would love to go in Nov...none of that heat you deal with in July and August. Really it seemed like a whole different place. And the crowds were low even if it was NJ week.

So what did you get at Starring Rolls?

I forgot to say that it took three of us two days to finish Brook's cupcake!!!

Yaa it takes all of us to survive the experience!!!....lol

However, if you like RnR or ToT....you can sure get on both of those early on now! I would recommend sending one person for FP for TSM and everyone else head over to RnR/ToT. Are you still doing the Mom's Panel or did that end? Do you have any future Disney trips in the works? Right now, I've got nothing.

Nope I had no clue where I was going or missing or should be doing. I was out of my element here....lol. The other parks I don't think twice about...except the water parks I still need a map sometimes...but this place was tough. I guess cause I had so much to try to fit in and I couldn't just walk in circles...hahahaha

oh the toy story mania stampede, being the good tgmer i am i was going to make a solo run for it , and being the con artist my ds is he convinced me that he was a good runner and should come along, i told my dh, parents and dd to get in line. well i ended up carrying ryan half of the way thru the mob and my dear family didnt even bother to get in line ugh. if only they would read tgm they would understand the reasoning oh well. glad your line went really fast. and as far as hollywood studios, i am directionally challenged there, i feel like it is so many dead ends. ugh. but i think there is some sort of gps kind of thing for the iphone, i could just see me yelling head right in .12 miles. hello people pay attention. my family hates my commando touring as it is, can you just imagine?

We actually asked the CM about that and they didn't even know! They said when that ride breaks all the CM's get kicked out until it is fixed. So when we got let in it was the same time as the CM's!

Nope, it was a 12 month contract and I could have gone back part time but didn't want too as the incentive wasn't worth it as we live so far away. There were also loads of other things but I'm very happy not to be on it And I'm afraid no more WDW trips for the next year or 2, we're Disney'd out

Welcome Back!

When I last left you...we were finishing up our early ADR at Hollywood and Vine and were heading out for the 12:30 pm showing of Beauty and the Beast!

I recognized the street from earlier in the day when I got the FP’s. So we found the B and the B stadium and parked the strollers. It was about 12:05 and I was happy to find we had our choice of seats. At first we sat about 6 or 7 rows back…then we moved up a few rows to about middle 5th back. Perfect.

Slowly the stadium filled and my excitement rose. I was sooooo looking forward to seeing this show!!! It did not disappoint! I was wondering what they would cut out to make the show only 25 minutes. The main turning point was when they said “Belle found herself in the company of the Beast after many unforeseen circumstances”…and whalaaa….they were able to get on with the show. I loved it…the costumes were great and the actors gave it their all.

Will Belle fit in?

Have you seen all of these pics before in other people's trip reports???

He's alive!!!

And they lived happily ever after....

As we were leaving Arielle and Sarah asked if they could go to T of T and Rockin RC by themselves. Since Arielle was 15 and had a phone, I let them go alone with their FP in hand. Gulp! I told them we would be at the Hat enjoying High School Musical.

First we hit the potty and then we made our way to the Hat.


As an aside...Brooklyn loved using the lower sinks cause she could reach everything! A very big thing for a 4 yr old!!!

I had no idea how they were going to organize us for the HS Musical 3 show. I did know I didn’t want to face the sun for the show so we found where we could stand right at the rope with the sun at our backs. First we had to ditch the stroller and then the girls sat and snacked at the rope….a common occurrence.

Then the parade came and we walked up with the rope to encircle the show. Cool. I love how Disney thought this all out. Unfortunately, the girls didn’t get picked to dance for the show but they loved it all the same. It was cute!

When it was over we were just getting ready to call Arielle and Sarah when they walked right up to us! Perfect timing! Since Nancy wanted to see the Muppets we looked at the map to find it and decided to head there next. We took a few pics at the hat but I must say… I totally dropped the ball on the photo pass whilst in this park. I actually completely forgot. Oh well. Luckily I did take a few pics. I loved Snow White and the dwarfs done in plant life….amazing!

So we made our way over to Muppets…I had Sarah pose for a few shots by where they do the Osborne Lights…they were up and awaiting their big debut! By now it was just after 2 pm.

It seemed like a long wait before the Muppets started but the cue was cute….I am not a big Muppets fan actually. After the show, Nancy wanted to browse the shop nearby so we walked around a bit. I really wanted to sit down so we did…kind of near Pizza Planet. Devon found a pin cart and finally picked out a pin…her one and only souvenir of the trip. Sarah had $10 to spend and never did…lol. I think I have the only kids who don’t walk through the park asking for everything they see.

Eventually Nancy rejoined us, and Brooklyn had yet another potty break. When we got back to the stroller I noticed we suddenly had two blankets. Where in the heck did this other blanket come from that Brooklyn was holding? OHHHH NNOOOOO!!!! Nancy did mention that Brook said something about the blanket in the store….and I realized she took it from the store!!! ACK!!! So I went running back to the store with the blanket…I folded it up nicely and apologized profusely. The CM thanked me but they didn’t seem overly concerned by the kleptomaniac tendencies of my youngest daughter. LOL

It was 3 O’clock and we still had to see Little Mermaid and reride TSM and I really wanted the kids to meet Buzz and Woody. I had made outfits for the occasion. So we made our way back across the park. We still had a little while before the Mermaid show. Nancy and Arielle watched the Block Party at 3:30. We rested on a bench for a little bit. Arielle returned and we headed into the Little Mermaid…I saw a lot of people heading in and I didn’t want to miss another show. Nancy was a little behind but she made it in just in time.

Enjoying a little pre-show break... and then we went in!

Brooklyn bought some cotton candy in a bucket!

We were all jammed in the waiting room but the doors opened and we made our way into the theater. I was impressed. I had absolutely no expectations for this show. I loved the underwater feel of the theater itself ! The show was cute and we all loved it!

In the theater before they said turn off your flash cameras!!!

When we exited, we had to find the strollers again and headed down the lane to see if we could meet Buzz and Woody. We parked the strollers at TSM where we had in the morning and headed to the bathrooms to change. Sarah had a tee and the girls had tee’s and skirts made with Buzz and Woody fabric.

New Attire!!!

We got in the line across from TSM to meet these two famous characters. I had heard the cue had a lot of cute picture ops. We had just entered when someone was knocking on the window! I looked up and see that it was Marlo and the kids!!! HI MARLO!!!! Brooklyn was so funny…she apparently put her hand on the glass and so did Marlo and they laughed. I think they were headed to TSM since it had just been fixed. I still find it amazing that you can find people you know (or don’t know but are dissers) while in the parks! We took some cue pics.

The line was moving well and then it stopped…I think for a shift change. We were pretty close to the front so the girls just sat down….we were all pretty tired. It was close to 4:30 at this time.

Buzz returned through the door and the people ahead of us went. While we were waiting, I remember a dad and little kid were trying to push past us to see around the corner. I barely moved over cause I didn’t want them to think they could get in front of us. I remember the CM watching them wondering what the heck they were doing. I think they finally realized they were being really rude cause they went back in line behind us. Strange.

Then it was our turn…the kids loved meeting Buzz and Woody…Woody signed the book and Buzz took it aside and used a metal stamper. He actually stamped it with his name…we were all cracking up! (Can you see the stamper on the "battery" in the background?) The girls posed and we posed and then we were done!

Still with me???

When we got out we decided to use our FP of course at TSM. The standby was 80 minutes and we had about a 5 minute wait!! Yippy Skippy! We took a few pics in line again! This time I was determined to break my former record and I did!!! We all enjoyed the ride just as much the second time! They really got this ride right!

The girls were getting really silly by this time of the day....lol

By now the sun was setting and we were all pretty tired. I knew Nancy and Arielle really wanted to see American Idol. My friend Leanne had recommended it as well so I said it would be our last attraction of the day. It was hours past when we were supposed to be home…I thought the girls would only last each day till 2 or 3 pm but here it was 5 pm and we were still in the parks. We got to the American Idol pavilion and a show was just about to begin….perfect! We went in and sat down and the show started! It was fun…we watch it on TV and the girls were pretty familiar with the judges. All three singers were pretty decent. I voted for the second girl but the third girl won…oh well.

And then we headed out and found the strollers one last time and packed up to head out. I felt like we had done a lot…everything on our list plus a few.

As it turns out, we missed a lot ….can’t do everything but I was really pleased with our day. I called hubby to say we were on the way home and relaxed for a bit when we arrived. I can’t believe the girls didn’t nap in the car on our way home!!!

Hugs and kisses when we arrived back at the house!!!

Since it was one of our last nights, we all headed out to dinner at Carrabas. I was hoping the wait would not be extraordinary especially with our big party…there were like 10 of us. Surprisingly, they seated us in about 20 minutes and we ordered. The girls colored and behaved and we all enjoyed a nice dinner. The food was yummy!

Brooklyn had to make three trips to the bathroom. I swear this kid loves bathrooms…this was like the 15th trip today. But, I didn’t mind since she had to wash the germs off of her hands each time. I really relaxed at dinner. There were no characters to worry about and the kids just sat still and talked to each other. I am glad Sarah had a friend to talk to. After dinner, the girls pretended to be sleeping at the table…lol.

We made our way back to our house for our last night….I was getting sad…I didn’t want to leave yet! We had to pack everything up in the morning and load up the car by 10 am. YIKES! I realized I had seriously overpacked. Not with customs but with extra clothes. With a washer and dryer available I should have just packed the costumes and an outfit or two. I had way too much. And although I had done laundry earlier in the week, I had 3 days of worn clothes and no time to wash them.


So would I fit everything back into the carry-ons? Did we make it out of the house by 10 am?? Would we make it to Animal Kingdom on our last day? What in the world would Edmund do while we were in Animal Kingdom? These questions and more to be answered in the next installment!:

Funny you missed Block Party to see Little mermaid! We missed LM to see Block Party!

Would you believe I just realized I have never had Kyle meet Buzz and Woody! I just realized that looking at your pictures! I feel like a bad mom now!

Looking at your pics of HSM now I have the song they sing during it in my head!

How fun is AI? I was so surprised how fun it was!
