This will be my second attempt at writing a PTR for my upcoming trip in March. I had originally started back in the spring and kept up with it for several months until “life” got in the way. I was mostly suffering from a difficult pregnancy that had prevented me from doing pretty much anything so of course my PTR was put on the back burner. But as of 8 days ago, I am NO longer pregnant and recovering from child birth while my dear husband helps take care of some of the household chores, so I thought now is a better time then any to get restarted. We leave in a little over 2 months to go so I have LOTS of planning to do until then and I'm feeling a bit overwhelmed right now. :scared1: But half the fun is planning, right?

For those of you who are new here’s a list of the cast…. And for those of you who have been following along with me all along I have a new cast member to introduce you too.

THE CAST

Me: (Deanna) I’m a 31 year old SAHM to the best little girl in the world. ((and now son)) I fell in LOVE with WDW on my very first visit back in 1996, when I got to go as a gift for my High School graduation. Since then I’ve been 7 times and even got married there back in 2001.

Roadtrip014-4.jpg

DD: (Reya) 3 year old beautiful, sweet, smart little girl. princess: This will be her 2nd visit to WDW. She’s in LOVE with Wall-e, Snow WIPE (aka snow white) , and Tinkerbell. Every time she see’s Cinderellas Castle she begs to go to Disney World, so I just couldn’t say “NO” any longer. We kept telling her that once the baby arrived that we would be going. So she's a little upset that the baby is no longer "stuck" in mommys belly and we're still not on a plane heading for Orlando.

DH: (Will) 33 year old investment broker. He’s the best daddy and husband in the world. I’m truly thankful that he works so hard to make sure that we’re able travel as much as we’re able. And I know that he secretly loves WDW just as much as I do.

Roadtrip204-1.jpg

Nieces: (Breanna) 9 years old (Valerie) 7 years old : These days they’re not much into the Princess thing, they’re more into the VAMPIRE thing. LOL. :sad2: Both addicted to Twilight, but of course still love WDW. They’ve both been about 24 times. They moved to Florida for about 6 months a couple years ago and were able to visit WDW just about every other weekend. Are SUPER excited to go back.

August2008007-2.jpg

SIL/BIL: (Marsha and Victor) I’m lucky to have such a wonderful SIL and BIL that I get along with. We have a fabulous time when we vacation together and this is going to be the best of the best. The only problem I see us running into is that I'm more of a planner and they're more of a "play it by ear" kinda couple. Should be interesting. :rolleyes:

August2008052-1.jpg

DS: (Jayden) 8 days old. ((Born 12/15)) 6lbs 7oz 19.5 inches. Doesn’t do much but eat, poop, sleep, eat, poop, sleep. LOL!! He’s the best cuddle bug in the world and I’m so blessed to have him in my life.

Stay tuned.......

Awww new baby pics! He is so sweet! I have a nephew named Jaeden. Your DD is beautiful too. Can't wait to hear more about your plans!

Our airline reservations are all set.

We’re leaving Denver on March 4th at 8:05 am arriving into Orlando at 1:31pm.

AND

Leaving Orlando on March 14th at 5:40 pm arriving in Denver at 7:40 pm.

Daylight savings ends on this day so we’ll be loosing another hour so I’m glad we made reservations for later in the day.

I still need to call United Airlines to add Jayden to the itinerary. The reservation guy laughed his butt off when I tried adding him before he was born. It’s hard to believe that he’s finally here.

I’m glad at least 1 thing is done and set in stone. Now I just got to figure out how I’m going to minimize stuff to pack. A baby has an alarming amount of things he needs for a vacation, not to mention what I need and what a preschooler needs. I think the cost of our luggage is going to cost more then what it cost to purchase the airline tickets.

Thank you! And Welcome.

There will be many more baby pics to come. I just can't get enough of him and take a million pictures a day. :cloud9:

Our hotel reservations have been made. We’ve decided to stay at Lake Buena Vista Resort Village and Spa. We’re splitting the cost with my sister-in-law and only paying $950.00 for 10 nights. :banana

We’ll be staying in a 3 bedroom, 3 bath condo. I definitely like the location and they have an amazing pool with a pirate ship/slide for the kids. Also have a restaurant, pizza hut express, store, game room, exercise room, and are located right next door to the Outlet stores. I Think and hope we made the right decision. I looked into staying on property at Disney World but couldn’t justify spending twice the amount of money for a standard size hotel room.

Here’s a picture of the condo layout.

I don't think anybody is actually reading this, but for those of you who are, my family and I would like to wish you all a VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS TOMORROW!!

Well I guess I’m going to begin the process of deciding on ADR’s. I hope it's not to late to get whatever I decide on. Hopefully I'll be able to figure out what I want as early as tomorrow so I can call reservations. I've really put this off for WAY too long, but I think I had a good excuse. ;)

~~~~~
When I took my DD to DLR a year ago she was pretty much terrified of all the Characters,:scared1: so when we did the Lilo and Stitch breakfast it was pretty much a waste of money, but my sweet niece and nephew had the time of there lives, so it was worth every penny to see them have a great time at least. :goodvibes((pictures below))
I think I might go ahead and chance it and do at least ONE character breakfast this upcoming trip, I’m hoping she’ll outgrow her fear by March.?!?:confused3
Since I’m new at the character breakfast thing, what are the best ones to do?!? Any suggestions would be helpful.
I’m going to make an ADR for the CRT for sure. She’s definitely into the Princess thing now, and she’ll absolutely pee her pants when she sees Snow “Wipe”!princess:
This is what my poor DD did the entire breakfast ~~ Clung to her daddy
What I had REALLY enjoyed about this particular Character Breakfast was that the characters actually spent time with the kids. They didn’t just hang around for a second, get their pictures taken and move on. So I’m really hoping to find a similar CBprincess: on our next trip.
Hi there! Love the pics of your son! Your DD is adorable too. I love her blue eyes. I have one with those mesmerizing blues also. :goodvibes
Sounds like a good trip in the making. I have one BIL and SIL that I would have a blast traveling with but we've never done it. My sis and her DH get on my nerves when we travel, and my other SIL I'd probably throttle before the trip were over! I hope your nieces will play along with the princess magic just for this trip.
Which kids get the twin beds? Are they bringing in a roll-away or crib for your newborn? Packing for babies is insane!!! Good luck with the baggage check-in guys!
Thanks. :)
I took a trip with my brother's wife to California back in June, and it was a complete disaster. By the time we got back to Colorado we were no longer speaking to each other. ((and we drove)) :scared1: So I definately couldn't do this trip with her, but I get along beautifully with my husbands sister and am really looking foward to vacationing with her.
We were thinking about pushing the two beds together, getting a child's blow up bed, or having one of the kids stay on the pull out couch. Haven't decided yet. And we were probably going to bring jayden's pack and play, but that would cost us a total of 40.00 to transport it. :confused: Right now he sleeps in his baby bouncer so maybe we could take it apart and pack it up.
I have narrowed down my CHARACTER BREAKFAST selections down to the following:
**Ohanas
DL_OHANA_2401.jpg
**Chef Mickey’s
**Donald’s Safari at Tusker House
**Crystal Palace
Any comments or suggestions would be appreciated
We will definitely do CRT one morning. I’m not sure if my SIL and her family will join us since her daughters aren’t really into the princess thing anymore. I would understand if they couldn’t justify spending almost $100.00 for breakfast for that reason. ((I hope they do though))
I’ll just tell the girls that there might be some vampire’s there ….. They hang out in castles, Right?!? :lmao:
DL_CRT_2401.jpg
So then we just need to decide on ONE character breakfast. I’m not going to do anymore then that cause we can save ourselves a LOT of money by utilizing our kitchen in the mornings for breakfast.
Now I need to think about lunch and dinners.
Mmmmmmmmm ……… I love thinking about food! :love:
When my family and I went to Disney in September I had put together some gift bags ((from Tinkerbell and Mickey)) for each of the kids.
They absolutely LOVED getting such a big surprise before heading out to the parks, plus they had some pretty great items to play with in the hotel room each night during our stay.
Unfortunately I don’t think I’ll be able to go way out like I did last year because of luggage space. I might put together a small gift bag for Reya and buy the other two girls their first lanyard and pins, plus some Disney Dollars.
Any Suggestions?
Here’s some pictures of the kids getting there bags:
Congratulations on your beautiful baby boy!!
Your condo is beautiful...we went in August and stayed with my sister, BIL, and my 2 nieces at Saratoga Springs for 5 days, then AKL for 5 days and it was great..we love vacationing together. My nieces love having my daughter along and so do the adults as mine is 17 and will take the kiddies on rides we don't want to do....or when we're having a grey goose slushie.
Can't wait to read more!!
As for reservations I don't have any experience, but I can give opinions. ;) We are definitely doing CRT, as we have never been to WDW world before and I think that one would be most memorable over-all, with the atmosphere as well as princesses. My youngest likes Mickey and gang but the trip is for my oldest. I figure my youngest doesn't know that the other meals exist, and she'll have several opportunities to meet Mickey, etc during the trip not involving food and money. Are you looking to do one more in addition to CRT?
I'd probably skip the packNplay also. My youngest slept in her bouncer for the first few months too. That would be way easier. (and cheaper!)
Thank you for the Congrats! We are extremely overjoyed and SLEEP deprived.
I'm really looking foward to having the extra hands to help with the kids. And I love knowing that we don't have to miss out on any rides, because of those extra hands. I'm truly looking forward to having myself a nice adult beverage or two as well. It's been a LONG, LONG time.
Thanks for reading along. :goodvibes
I would like to make reservations for one more character breakfast just to have it. But there is a good chance that we would have to cancel once on the trip because I'm not sure how my DD is going to react to the costumed characters this time around. I'm NOT going to spend a fortune on breakfast if she's going to be hiding under the table the whole time. :sad2: I know she's going to absolutely LOVE the princess one though and I'm probably looking forward to that more then anything else.
I probably will skip the pack n play or call the hotel to see if they offer cribs. Most likely I'll just bring the bouncer "if" it will fit in the suitcase. Or buy one when I get out there, that would still be cheaper then paying for the pack n' play as luggage. (((SO SAD))
