Hey Howdy Hey!!
Yes, we are on a Toy Story "high" right now at our house, so I thought I will begin our PTR with a Toy Story title since I can recite both movies beginning to end any time, any place.

When: April 24-May 1, 2010
Where: Port Orleans-French Quarter
What: 6 Day Park Hoppers
Why: To celebrate my daughter Helen's first trip & my son Gabe's 40" plus height!!!!
Who:
Moi-Cory's Gal-Beth-31 year old SAHM, been to the World 7 times at all life stages starting at age 10! I LOVE Cinderella and Mickey the best!!
DH-Cory-31 year old engineer, been to the World 3 times! Really likes the Pixar movies and characters the best!!
DS-Gabe-age 4 years turning 5 in January-preschooler who has been to the World 1 time right at age 2!! Talks about Disney World constantly and cannot wait to return! LOVES Toy Story, Cars, and Dave from the 2005 planning DVD and hopes to meet him when we go there ;)
DD-Helen-age 19 months turning 2 in April-toddler who loves to eat anything and chase her brother around! First trip to the World and loves everything her big brother does! I am training her to love Cinderella like her momma and she loves to watch MM Clubhouse:thumbsup2
The kiddos by the pumpkins: (we are a family of "blinkers", sorry their eyes are closed)

We also have my parents joining us:
My Mom-Nancy
My Dad-Gary
-both have been to WDW 5 times including our last trip with Gabe!! They are old school Disney lovers, my mom digs Mary Poppins and Peter Pan and my dad is into Sorcerer Mickey, they also love what my kids love too, they are the best parents and grandparents!!:goodvibes

Okay, there's our quick intro, more to come...:woohoo:

Okay, now that I have the basic info started here's some more details...

We are not major Table Service people, sometimes we would like to be but we do a lot of Counter Service, we are not always guaranteed a quiet meal with our little Helen, so we chose two TS meals and already made our ADRs! Last trip we tried CP for breakfast and LOVED IT and 50's PTC and LOVED IT!! Now with the ADR mark at 180 days I had to decide now and in order to do that I already had to roughly plan which parks for each day...tell me what ya think...

Sunday: Epcot (Dinner 5:30pm Raglan Road in DTD)
Monday: Studios
Tuesday: Animal Kingdom (Breakfast 8:15am Donald's Safari Breakfast)
Wednesday: Magic Kingdom
Thursday: Hopping doing our faves
Friday: Hopping doing our faves

My mom and dad are doing Tea on Thursday at the GF at 2pm, they did this last time and LOVED it so they are doing it again!! My mom HIGHLY recommends it!

Any reviews on the Safari Breakfast?? We wanted to try something different even though we loved CP so much! We like the thought of being in a park before opening:goodvibes

Since I have been planning this in my head for almost 3 years I already have a jump on gift bags for the kiddos...pictures to come soon...

Hi Beth! I'll read along if you are still writing! We'll be there the same dates. :thumbsup2

Yeah!!!! After more than a month I finally have a reader!! Thanks for reading Amy! I almost forgot I started a PTR:laughing: Our trip feels so much closer now that the holidays are over, it's still over 3 months but at least I can say we are going this year!!!:goodvibes Fun to have someone to count down with!!

Hi Beth! I'm planning my first family trip - I'm so jealous that you're at POFQ - we really wanted to stay there but decided on POP for this trip. But when we go back again I'd love to stay at POFQ! My kids are Cars fanatacis so I know just how you feel having all of those movie lines memorized!

I'll be reading along to hear more of your plans...

Hi Karen and thanks for reading!!! Love your disboards name!! Cars is super popular in our house too and another movie I could probably recite start to finish, we almost have worn out our DVD. We stayed at POP on our last trip and had a great time! The buses were great and we had great service too! The food court was great too!! We are really excited to stay at FQ this time around and I was lucky enough to get 35% off so that's why we were able to do a moderate! It's always fun to try new resorts, my dream resort is the Polynesian, to me it looks like heaven:cloud9:!

Okay, inspired by others, I am prepared to embarrass myself and post a few pics from past Disney trips starting with my first one at age 10! I would post more but we got rid of our scanner so I can't get those old ones on here for now...

February 1989 with my siblings, I am the stylish one in the tie-dyed fish shirt:

I don't have any from our trip in 1992, but this one is from 1996, I was 17 and we took my Grandma who was 70 and she did TOT!!!!

Okay, these even make me laugh some, I will try and dig up a few more...:lmao:

Amy, your old park photos were part of my inspiration!! :goodvibes

Thanks!! I'm sure I was inspired from other DISers myself.

It looks like we have the same parks planned for a couple of days.

Monday - DHS (we'll be there in the morning)
Tuesday - AK (we'll be there in the morning)
Wednesday - MK (we might be there in the pm if we decide against Hoop Dee Doo Revue)
And maybe we'll run into you on Thursday or Friday when you are hopping around at your favorite parks! :thumbsup2

What did you end up doing for ADRs?

Yeah! Looks like we overlap quite a bit Amy!! I love to plan but when the hours were released so early this time around and ADR's were changed back to 180 days, I kinda had to plan even earlier!
We will for sure be at AK on Tuesday, we have an 8:15am ADR for Donald's Safari Breakfast, which we are all looking forward to! Sunday evening for dinner we will be eating at Raglan Road at 5:30pm. So we were lucky and got the times that we wanted!! I would REALLY love to try and sneak in a dinner at O'hana but my Dad is on a real low sodium & protein restrictive diet and I would hate for him to watch us eat all those meat skewers in front of him!
I am pretty happy with our tentative plans for now, part of me is a bit nervous that hours may change but I think we'll be okay!

Okay, here are some more pics of one of my previous trips!

I went in January of 2000 with some girlfriends, it was a lot of fun! I am the one in the middle and SPLASH is my favorite attraction!!

I'll give you a sneak peek of one of the pictures that will be coming up in my PTR:

Okay, we were BOTH totally in style then!!!:rotfl::rotfl:

Hi, I'm jumping in! But I have to ask, what's the story behind your title "There's a Snake in my Boot"? Just curious.

YEAH! Thanks for jumping in and reading!! Well, I titled my TR this because I have never seen this title before and we are just all about Toy Story in our house and Woody says "There's a snake in my boot" if you pull his string. Thankfully I or anyone that I know have never had a snake in their boot AND I hope we never experience a snake in our boots/shoes:scared1:

I see your time to make ADR's for your trip is coming up soon! What dining places do you have in mind?? I love finding out where people pick to eat!!:yay:

Okay, we have some basics all worked out, we even have our flights booked!!

Flying out of MSP at 10:30am and arriving at MCO at 2:34pm!! We are so glad we have direct flights coming and going!! We will be using the Magical Express, we have had great experiences the last two trips so why fix what wasn't broken??? My son flew at age 2 in 2007 and loved every part of it!!

Here's a few pics from his first flight:

Getting on the plane with me:

Sitting in his seat on the plane, a happy flier!!

This will be my daughter's first flight and with our experience with DS's first flight, I think we will be leaving the car seat in the car and not drag it with. He sat in our laps a lot and ended up getting his feet a bit pinned when the person in front of him would recline their seat. I think DD will be just fine without a car seat and then we won't have it just sitting in the room not being used the whole week!

DS loved what he called the "Magical Bus", so he's looking forward to riding it again!!
Our return flight has us leaving MCO at 1:25pm and arriving back home at MSP at 3:52pm! Thankfully we won't have to catch the ME bus too early at the resort, I am guessing about a 10:30 pick-up time!

We used miles for me, DD, and DS tickets so all we had to pay for is DH ticket!! My parents are also flying on their miles!! Delta does charge for checked bags, I am hoping to squeeze all of our stuff into 2 larger size suitcases!! :upsidedow

Hi Beth!

Great Picutures! Love the shortalls and Mickeys Rainbow T in 1989!

Glad to hear you have your flights booked and ready to go - even better that they didn't cost you too much! Looks like you have really decent times - don't have to be there too early in the morning and still arrive at a decent time in the afternoon. I'm sure your kids will do great on the flight...I know I'm a little nervous taking my 2 on a flight for the first time, but in the end it'll all be fine and I'm sure they'll enjoy it!

Hey Karen! Yes, we got awesome time for flights! I am pretty sure by the time we get to the resort we will be able to check in and get our rooms right away. It usually has taken us 1-1.5 hours after landing to be all checked in so we should be at POFQ by 3:30-3:45 is my hope!! I think the flight should be fine too! Luckily my DS Gabe is a good gum chewer and I think when he was 2 Dum-Dum Suckers worked well for him so they should be good for my DD too, that's the only part that may bug them is the pressure. Are you all flying out of MKE??

Yay for booked flights!

Double yay for direct flights!!:banana:

Triple yay for booking fights with miles!!!:banana::banana:

Thanks for sharing the photos - your DS is a cutie!
