Can anyone recommend a nearby condo?

DH, DS(1), my mom and I are considering a last minute trip later this month. We definately need at least a 1 bedroom. I was there with my mom and son in the fall and it was horrible having no where to go relax without whispering after my son went to sleep. Are the disney timeshare rentals worth it? Are there any offsite places that are very close? We will have a car and plan to drive to the parks most days anyway, but I am not sure I want to give up the disney feel of staying onsite.

See if you can get a deal at Sheraton Vistana Villages. We stayed (nov 2009)in a beautiful 2 bedroom condo that was out of this world!! Pool only 5 min walk with little kids. Did I mention the jacuzzi bathtub for mommy!! WOOHOO! I took a bath everynight. I miss it there. Granite countertops, washer/dryer, fridge, stove, microwave, dishwasher. My kids thought that having their own queen bed each and a large plasma tv in there room was the best. Someone stop me I'm rambling...:rotfl2:
Feel free to pm me if you have any questions!:goodvibes
Check out dreams unlimited they have a deal on. $99 a night for 1 bedroom $129 for a 2 bedroom. Go for the $30 extra... the room is amazing. My kids (me too) didn't want to come home and it is a quick drive to disney, seaworld and universal. Lots of placed to eat around there too with a grocery just down the street too.

Try the Reunion at Championsgate. There's a special winter deal on right now.
We've got a three bed, 3 bath villa for half the price of a two bedroom villa at Disney.
It's a 5 star resort only 10 minutes from Disney. There's a water park, lazy river, several swimming pools and excellent restaurants.

We much prefer it to the disney resorts that we have stayed in.

Cypress Pointe is very close and very popular, however I wouldn't do a 1 bedroom if I were you, I'd look for a 2 bedroom.
The price difference usually isn't very much. The 1 bedrooms at CP are very small at around 500 sq. ft, the 2 bedrooms
are 1200+ sq. feet. Big difference.

I think the closest and nicest villas are at the Wyndham Bonnet Creek resort. It's practically on property (right next the the Caribbean Beach) and very affordable if renting from an owner. Try www.vacationupgrades.com. We've rented from Ken Price 3 times and have been very happy.

I agree! You can get a 2-bedroom at BC for about $120 or less. Probably less at this late day - and being that it's off-season. Check out this thread.

One thing about renting a regular condo is that a lot of times you'll have to pay a cleaning fee for short trips. That can add a night's fee onto your price, so read the fine print.

One thing I really loved about the condo at Sheraton Vistana Villages was that they all had large screened in balconies. Most overlooking a lagoon with a fountain. I loved reading out there at night after the kids went to bed and best thing was no bugs. I also loved that that the spare bed had 2 queen beds and their own bath with double sinks. I wish I could stay there forever. I also have stayed at windsor hills and hilton grand vacation in international (just around the corner from SVV) but I prefer SVV it is more upscale than windsor hills.
