Just wondering where we might find WiFi at Disney? Don't really want to pay $9.95 per day just to check email once a day and check-in for our return flight.

Good question, I'd like to know too!

Wouldn't it be nice. I don't even think you can do dial up for free there.

I just got to thinking, On the Southwest early bird checkin, do I need to print out my boarding forms or do I just need to know the numbers? I am obviously not taking my printer with me.

Not wi-fi, but a few years ago when we were at the contemporary they had computers with internet in the rooms and I believe that you could print to the desk...

Any chance a concierge could check you in and print?

On our last trip, when it was time to check in for our return flight, we went to City Hall in MK, and the CMs there did the check in for us, and printed our boarding passes.

Other times, we've checked in online via Blackberry, and just re-printed boarding passes at the kiosk once we got to MCO.

Just install Juno Free before you leave home and use dialup at WDW. We stay at PO and with local calls being free, Juno is adequate to check email and check in with Southwest.

Concierge at the Beach Club checked us in for our flight and printed our boarding passes for us.

As far as Wi-Fi goes here is the information given on Mousesavers.com (http://www.mousesavers.com/otherwdw.html). It doesn't appear that Wi-Fi is free though.

Disney also offers Wi-Fi (high speed wireless Internet access) in the public areas of its convention hotels (see locations below). You will need a Wi-Fi enabled laptop computer or PDA to access the Internet from designated areas of each resort. Your credit card is billed through an on-screen Internet connection. Use of this service requires a wireless-enabled laptop. (They have wireless interface cards available for purchase in the resorts' business centers, if you need one.) Wireless access costs $9.95 for a 24-hour period or $4.95 for a one-hour period.

Locations for Disney's Wi-Fi access:

Contemporary - Main Lobby, Convention Center Hallway, Feature Pool

Coronado Springs - Main Lobby, Convention Center Hallway, Feature Pool, Francisco's

Grand Floridian - Main Lobby, Convention Center Hallway, Beach Pool

Yacht & Beach Club - Main Lobbies, Convention Center Hallway, Stormalong Bay Pool

I think that someone said the McDonalds on property have free wi-fi. I've never used it myself though.

In addition to the Resorts, the following restaurant has WiFi:
Sand Trap Bar & Grill

1) Internet is not free at WDW.
2) WiFi is available at convention resorts.
3) WiFi is free at WWoS (now called ESPN) and McDonald's
4) Sorry, but Internet is a profit center for WDW.
5) Boarding Passes can be printed
. . . at any resort Front Desk or Concierge Desk
. . . at any park or DTD Guest Services desk

WiFi was definitely free in the lobby of Beach Club. signal was weak outside of the lobby area so I just sat at one of the chairs until I was done. Many others were doing this as well. This was on a trip this past Halloween. I also saw people on their laptops at stormalong. didn't use my laptop there so I don't know if that was free as well. No WiFi in the rooms, only the hardline connection for a fee.

Internet is free via dialup. For at least my last 10 trips or so, I used dialup at PO and it was more than adequate to check email and good enough to peruse the DIS. I keep Juno Free installed and if I check into a hotel that charges for internet, I just use Juno via dialup. Local calls are free, at least at PO, and I've never been charged for a phone call.

This is a configuration error.. and it's been open for a while.

But wouldn't count on it in the future.. sooner or later it will be closed up.
