Tink Got Me My Very Own Sharpies!- A Surprise Bday TR (3/8 Final Thoughts)

I'm all caught up again; great updates! I'm glad you have your heat and water back. We've had several issues this winter with ours, so I know what you're going through!

When I last left you, Cindee and I were gawking over the horrible parenting displays at DHS. But we got over it and headed off so that the daddies could take the little ladies to battle Darth Vader. Us mommies were not having any of that so we went here...

A coffee shop in DHS that I never knew existed. Gotta love touring with the locals! Cindee and I sat in there and gabbed for AGES. Turns out that the boys and the princesses rode twice and then helped Aisling to make a light saber. Back story on that is that I have always refused to let her make one. Since Daddy was alone with her on the ride...suddenly she got one. She proclaimed that it was her "special birthday present" for her. Um.... the TRIP is your special birthday present kiddo!!!

After coffee and rides, it was approaching our dinner ADR time at Sci Fi (conveniently located right next door to the coffee shop). We said our goodbyes and "see you tomorrows" to M and her family and were off.

While we were waiting, Aisling played with her light saber to prove that she will really use it!

Randy and Aisling hadn't been to this restaurant before so it was a treat for them. Both gave a two thumbs up. Although realistically, I think it was mostly because at that point, we had done a lot of walking and Aisling wanted to veg out in front of a TV. And who could resist with Walt on the screen?

I had the Italian Chicken Sandwich, a cherry coke, and a Magical Star. For dessert I had the Sweet Ending to Your Celebration Cheesecake.

Randy had the ribs- which he really liked. Aisling barely ate. I have no clue what she ordered though :sad2:

Just so folks did not think that I was absent from this trip...I had Aisling join me in my seat for a quick pic.

After dinner, we walked around and took some scenery shots and then headed for one last spin on TSM with the FPs we've been holding onto since that morning.

Along the way, Chrissa decided she couldn't see well so she needed to ride on Aisling's shoulders!!!!

We rode TSM and headed back out. Tomorrow was Aisling's bday and we had a long day planned!

We got to the bus stop and THIS pulled up. I didn't want to get in because I was convinced it wasn't the real bus to POP. Apparently Disney is contracting out other buses now!

And there you go! Kristine is out of her "I dropped my camera funk" and ready to just get down to enjoy my time with familiy and friends! What will be the Birthday Princesses surprise in the morning???

I love Sci-Fi...its so much fun!

I love how Ash got her lightsaber when she was with dad. Does Randy often do that for her, get her things when you said no? I used to do that with my dad :rolleyes1

I always have to say this out loud!

I always say that sign out loud too!!!

Yes, Randy does typically undermind me like that! But only on things that he thinks I'm don't have a valid reason to say no to :rolleyes1

When Aisling was 18 months old, she started potty training out of the blue. Decided on her own she wanted to do it. She went for about a month. Well Randy kept buying her things...even when I said don't. Needless to say, he spoiled her and when he stopped buying the gifts-she stopped going potty :headache: Took until she was almost 3 before she would train again!

Looks the like park emptied out while you were at dinner. :thumbsup2 I love all the "dusk" pictures!

It did. They did not have a Fantasmic on the schedules ANYWHERE (online/hotels etc) but when you got to the park- they were telling people they decided to have one. We were going to stay since Aisling has yet to see Fantasmic but we thought an early night to bed was a better idea.

I enjoyed the scenery pictures. I need to remember to take more like that, especially when it isn't super crowded.

I am so glad to see you were along for the trip and I just love your hair braided!

Well, I gotta say, making your own lightsaber is super fun so I can't blame Randy. Dallas has two, one because a very nice friend Aisling sent him $ to buy and one because I am a good mommy and let him do it when it first came out. Of course, now they are so much better with the colored blades vs a disc to make the clear look colored that just doesn't work! She'll need another because she needs the double sided sith one too!

Glad you are in a better mood and enjoying the vacation now!

Thank you!

The braids do help with the Florida humidity! You should try them. I have chin length hair again so braids in May may be iffy!

She does NOT need another light saber!!! Stacy's boys sent her one for Christmas last year (purple) and she had the one she made so now her and Randy can battle. We are all set ;) :rotfl:

Oh, Dads. They are good for that kind of stuff. My dad always used to take me to the book store. My mom hated buying me books because I would read them so fast. She was a big library advocate. :lmao:

I love the picture of Aisling in Sci Fi.

My mom was a library advocate too. She also didn't allow us any soda. Which is why I now blow 100s a year at Borders/Amazon and have a serious diet coke addiction :rolleyes1

I won't even begin to tell you how many light sabers Dallas has. He is still upset because I sold 2 blue ones that I bought to sell! And he'll still look and ask almost every time we go to the store! He is getting a clone trooper gun that he has been asking for forever! Good thing Santa found a GREAT deal because I thought his shake and go airplane launchers made great guns! Especially since I am not fond of guns!!

But not like the time on our girls trip, right?

Kristine and I ate at Sci-Fi (late because I missed my flight). When we got out, there was NO ONE around. We made it all the way through the streets of America and to Toy Story Mania without seeing another person-not even a CM. It was very, very creepy!

Love the update. I bet Morgan (and her family) were so much fun. And Cindee we don't believe anything negative you can say about Morgan. She is just perfect!!

Love the rest of the day...well earned mommy time and a yummy lunch...Sci Fi looks like fun! So you did get on the bus right???

I love your updates. I especially like the light saber built with dad. We tried Sci-Fi again this year for the first time in about 12 years and really liked it too! Wasn't that cheesecake so good? I can't wait to read about the birthday! :cake:

Joining in a little late, but better late than never!!

Your DD is tooooo cute in all her outfits! Can't wait to see what else she wears on her trip!

So sorry about your lens. I would have been devastated too, if I knew what a 50 mm lens was! :rotfl:

Can't wait to read about her actual birthday.... she has good taste in birthdays btw ;) Mine is Oct 23rd! So close!

Yup...there were definitely people around this time. Less Kingdom Keeper-ish this time!

We did get on the bus. Turns out at busier times they use random other tour buses???

Cheesecake was SINFUL! Kinda thrilled that I got to have it TWICE this year ;)

:welcome: Thanks for reading and all the compliments!

A 50mm lens is a prime lens which means its good for low light situations....which there are a LOT of at WDW!

I tried to get her out on the 23rd...trust me :rotfl2: I had preeclampsia so they had to deliver her earlier. They tried inducing me 4 times over 8 days (inc the 23rd...which is when I was hospitalized for good). When it still didn't work on the afternoon of the 24th- my dr c-sectioned me.

I SWEAR I have been reading from the very beginning...just VERY slack about posting...but you know me...I'm always lurking somewhere!

But to recap...I love the surprise video and I love hearing your voice! I envision everyone of you with my same southern accent...I know...not really possible and it is always funny to hear how you all sound!

LOVE her outfits! So cute!

Sorry about the lens!

Sorry about the water for Christmas...or the lack there of! Our favorite tree decoration is the thremalcouple that came out of our water heater 3 years ago...no hot water for two days! We were a stinky bunch when we showed up to shower at my mom's on Christmas day...ahhh memories!

I am there with you on the bad parenting! I saw that way too many times on our last trip!

Light sabers...I have a story there too....on our last trip, Patrick left his on the Star Tours during Star Wars Weekends...he was in tears...I was in tears for him...they stopped the ride just so we could look for it...thankfully I remmebered exactly which seat he sat in and which "car" we were in....it was right there under the seat...thank goodness!

I love Sci-fi...Love the tomato soup....I am a soup girl and that stuff is good!

We got to ride a rented Disney bus too last trip...it was much nicer with really nice seats and the driver drove a little slower...which is always a plus to me!

Well I'm glad I didn't lose ya! I've been so nuts that this TR is my slowest by far. I've been writing since October and I'm still haven't gotten to our 2nd park day :sad2:

Never tried the soup...we always go when it's super hot so i can't even think of having soup ;)

Glad Patrick found his lightsaber. Even if I"m not a fan :rotfl2:

Awww lucky girl getting her lightsaber, I used to be able to twist my Dad round my little finger too :goodvibes

Sorry about the parade people, I can't believe they just left them

I have some friends who are CM's on the collage program and often go to the parks on their days off as they're only there a few months :thumbsup2
