Do most rental homes have Christmas trees?

This may sound like a strange question, but it got me thinking today. Do most rental villas have Christmas trees? DH and I were discussing the possibilities of spending next Christmas in Florida and we started discussing how we would like to do things. I know my kids would HAVE to have a tree :goodvibes

Probably something you will have to ask the individual owners. I know many that do not have them but many like us do. If you are going to book through an agent they may not be able to tell you.

Some owners do, some do not. However, you certainly can make this a condition of renting and perhaps they would have one put up for you if not in their plan.

I agree with the two previous posters who suggest that you contact the owner on your specific situation. I know that some people who feel strongly about having a Christmas tree while on vacation just buy an artificial tree when they get to Orlando. But not everybody who rents a vacation home during Christmas week are Christians so I'd be surprised if it would be commonplace for owners to have a tree in their rental homes.

I've never had one provided in the rental homes I've been in.

It may not be like home, but there are various ways to recreate the Christmas tree. We've decorated the potted plant. We've brought along the lighted spiral trees. Then we bought a little Pooh artificial tree at Home Depot, which looked just pitiful the first year. This year I found a whole box of Pooh decorations at a yard sale to add to it and it looks pretty good for a tiny tree. Even if we had been flying down, it would have all fit in about 1/3 of a checked bag. Since we were driving, it was not a big deal.

This time we brought along five poinsettias and some chair covers that look like Santa hats. I thought I might find a tree lot with a four foot tree marked down, but we didn't go by any driving in and just used the artificial one.

We still have our big artificial tree at home that we enjoyed throughout the season.

Did you ask?

Many owners would ask if they had one if you would prefer one up. If not I would ask just in case they do have one but just put it up on request.

Nope, didn't ask. It really didn't matter to me. Just saying that it wasn't set up in the home when I arrived, nor was it offered.

We asked and house we are in right now had 2 trees in garage-just make sure you check them before bringing in house- parents next door had a lizzard thing in theirs and we had a lot of live bugs so did not bring in house- we just decorated the fake trees in the house with lights etc and it is great.

:lmao: sorry I am laughing. When you live here, you get use to the bugs in your garage. The lizard things are Gecko's, you know the cute little Geico Insurance commercial. Bugs are a part of life here... unfortunatly
