I was wondering if anybody can answer this. Is there any way to walk from the Poly to Shades of Green. Heading to Magic Kingdom and I have to pick-up 2010 Armed Forces Salute tickets and trying to figure out how I`m going to do it - Thanks:cool1:

Its a very easy walk, about 8-10 minutes. You'll head right out of the lobby of the Poly along one of the paths that goes underneath the monorail and out to the road...you'll see the entrance to Shades as you meet the road. Walk across and along the sidewalk to the Shades entrance.

I used the Salute ticket this year but was unaware they were offering this special again for 2010. How did you find out about this? I did not see anything on the web anywhere... we were hoping to book a trip again in Oct 2010 but with finances being tight we might not be able to without a great deal like the Salute tickets...

I couldn't begin to tell you where, but this was posted on the DIS:

On December 16 Disney announced the 2010 Armed Forces Salute. It is somewhat more restrictive than the 2009 version.

It is for active and retired U.S. Military including Coast Guard and active members of the Reserves or National Guard. It also includes permanently disabled veterans with a valid military ID card.

Tickets may be purchased January 3, 2010 through July 31, 2010.

All tickets are valid until Midnight September 30, 2010, regardless of date of first use.

Block-out dates of March 27, 2010 through April 9, 2010 at all locations and July 3 and 4 at Magic Kingdom only.

The tickets are four day base tickets for $99 (plus tax) each. There is no free ticket for the service member. the Park Hopper and the Water Parks Fun & More options can be added for $25 (plus tax) for each option. The tickets cannot have either more days or No Expire added.

Each service member may purchase up to six tickets during the validity period of the offer. If the service member is not present, the spouse or unremarried widow may purchase up to five tickets during the validity period.

The tickets may be upgraded to Seasonal (for Florida Residents) or Annual Passes based on the $99, $124, or $149 value and price bridging will not be performed.
