Cass, Rob and Kira back in Disney! Toddlers' tempers and tantrums *Final Video!1/06*

Great update, Cass! I totally forgot about you guys coming back to WDW after the cruise. I'm really glad too, because I'm not ready for this report to be over!
BLT is definitely beautiful. I'm glad that you still had a great view even thought you had given it up!
I can't wait to hear about Kona. We decided to try it for breakfast in March! Keep it coming!

Wow, you ate steak with asparagus juice on it??? :scared1::eek: Did Robin have to carry you back to the room???? :rolleyes1 :lmao:

yes i did!! and its a lot worse than the "lettuce juice" from the burger i had earlier in the week.:rolleyes1:laughing:

We made up a long time ago ;) One thing about Rob and I is that we don't do well when we fight because we are each other's best friends...hard to get by without your best friend

we know the feeling. people cant believe it when we say we've never fought. Underdogs a lover, not a fighter.:rolleyes1;);)

ok if i tell a story from castaway cay?too bad.:rolleyes1

You guys were trying to give Kira her meds and she kept throwing herself in the sand.....to which Bernies hubby Sean said..."why dont you just pour the medicine in the sand and let her get it that way.:rotfl::rotfl2:

i know it probably wasnt funny to you guys, but to we old folks who have "been there, done that"...it was hilarious.:lmao::lmao:

The pics of BLT were amazing Cass, :cool1: and I loved loved the pic of Kira on her bed. That was just too cute. :cutie:

I wasn't there, but I thought Mike's story about Sean and Kira's meds was hilarious myself. That guy kept us all laughing all week long. Him and the chickie he married!

A very short visit but yes we went back to the World :goodvibes Trust me, you won't regret that Kona ADR ;)

LOL, how did you survive? :lmao:

we know the feeling. people cant believe it when we say we've never fought. Underdogs a lover, not a fighter.

Actually, until we had Kira we never fought. Ok, well maybe once or twice a year but the beautiful little princess brings with her a little extra stress :rolleyes1

Hahaha, it only got worse from there! :scared:

And yeah, those two make me laugh ALL the time! Why do you think I keep them around? :rolleyes1 :rotfl2:

love the pics of BLT so far!!:3dglasses:wizard:

we cant wait to stay 9 days at AKV in May!!:woohoo::wizard:

Wow 9 days at AKV!!!

Yup, never a dull moment with those two around! :thumbsup2 :rotfl: You should see them toy with Rob sometimes :lmao: Rob's sense of humour is a little....different than ours

Day 17 Part 3

October 31st - BLT & Halloween at MNSSHP

We walked over to the Contemporary Resort so that we could take the monorail over to the Polynesian Hotel. It was a bit of a walk from our room. You gotta take an elevator down to the 5th floor and then walk all the way down to the south elevators (our room was next to the north elevators) and then through the ridiculously heavy doors, across the walkway (which has a great view!) and then past the 3 stores on the concourse and then up the elevator to the monorail platform. :faint:

I was worried we wouldn't get there in time, they stop serving breakfast at 11:30 but we got there at 11:25 just barely in time.

I didn't like our table (right at the front next to the hotel lobby area) but I was too tired and hungry to complain.

I have been trying to eat breakfast here for quite some time now but because it's in the Poly and we've never stayed at the MK resorts, it was always out of the way for us and we never did manage to eat there but I've read so many great reviews on this place, as soon as we decided to stay at BLT, I knew it was a must!

On the monorail ride over I told Rob about the wonderful things people say about their coffee and so right away I ordered him a french press pot.

Kira got busy with some coloring. Well, sort of. Ever since her first experience with crayons, she's had this bad habit of breaking them! Usually, she breaks them and then peels the paper off...it rather annoys me

So whenever we go to a restaurant, I mentally take note of just how long it takes her to break the crayons.

17-26.jpg

Well, she did not disappoint, breaking the crayon in less than one minute :rolleyes2

17-27.jpg

What I thought was funny was that they only have blue crayons at Kona. They have this huge basket of crayons at the front desk but they are ALL blue. I laughed and asked them if they had a surplus of blue crayons they needed to get rid of. They just smiled and said "All we get are the blue ones" as if they have never even questioned it themselves

Pretty soon Rob was on :cloud9: drinking his coffee

17-28.jpg

And not long after that, we were all happy to have our food.

Now, I was saving food pics for a separate dining review but this was so freaking delicious that I just couldn't not share it with you.

I ordered the Big Kahuna (asked for the pineapple and macadamian nut butter on the side) and I gave Rob and Kira the pancakes and french toast and I ate every single bite of the rest, along with some white toast. (except for some ham and sausage I shared with Kira)

17-29.jpg

Kira loves her some pancakes!

17-30.jpg

Now, maybe because I was starving but everything was sooooooooooooooooooooooooooo good!!! No, better than good, it was fantastic!!!!!!!!!!

Rob loved the pineapple and macadamian nut butter, he smeared it all over the pancakes that he ordered.

Kira was well behaved too and she ate quite a bit of food!

I like this photo because of the light...we were looking at the beautiful fans on the ceiling.

17-31.jpg

I must say that the service was not that fabulous but I really didn't care, the food totally made up for it! We walked out of there happy and full...even Kira!

Back on the monorail, it was time for all of us to take a nice nap!

17-32.jpg

17-33.jpg

We turned off all the lights and closed the curtains and it was actually quite dark!

Rob got under the covers and fell in love with that throw blanket on the bottom of the bed. He liked it because it was so heavy, the heavier the blanket for him, the better! He debated briefly on taking it :rolleyes1 but I talked him out of it.

We slept right away, until Rob's cell phone rang.

Thankfully Kira didn't wake up. Rob got up and answered it and then he did some work on his laptop while Kira and I snoozed the afternoon away.

Boy, did we sleep! Kira and I slept almost 4 hours!

Our plan was to get to MK at 4pm but it was now already 5pm!

We got dressed and ready and I think we were out the door by 6pm.

Isn't that the place with the worlds famous Tonga Toast Cass? I so want to try that myself one day. :thumbsup2

As always, the pictures were great and my favorite is the "fan" picture. Very sweet. :cutie:

My daughter does the EXACT same thing with crayons. Breaking them doesn't annoy me as much as finding little bits of paper everywhere.

Back on the ship...I was impressed with Flounder's, too. Audrey went 1 and a half times and when my husband went and got her early that last night, they had given her a Handy Manny cardboard "toolbox", a Baby Einstein DVD, a Imagination Movers disc, some sort of Princess magazine/coloring book with crayons and a picture they had taken of her the first night that they tried to "scrapbook up". I was impressed.

We went to Kona for breakfast the first time on our last day Cass, and i was very amazed at the quality of the food. :thumbsup2

Day 17 Part 4

October 31st - BLT & Halloween at MNSSHP

Once we were all dressed and ready to go to the party, it was time to walk over to the MK. Ok, now this was the BEST thing about staying at BLT.

No driving, no paying for parking, no parking 2 miles away, no tram, no TTC, no monorail or ferry....just 5 minutes of walking and we were there!!! You really can't beat that!!

Lobby of BLT
17-35.jpg

17-36.jpg

On our way there, I spotted Jessica Rabbit....took this for you Dawg!

17-37.jpg

And here's one a little closer with her Rabbit LOL

17-38.jpg

It was really hot out still, I was glad I just wore shorts and a tee instead of a big costume like Rob!

17-39.jpg

My babes at bag check. Didn't even know there was another bag check over here!

17-40.jpg

We made it to the Partay! Wooooot!

17-41.jpg

We were all hungry so we stopped for some fries and corn dogs at Casey's. For some silly reason I thought the DIS BOBer meet was at Casey's at 7pm so we hung around there until just after 7 but we didn't see anyone (duh, wonder why?) so we left. I didn't find out until after we got home that the meet was at 8pm.

17-42.jpg

Took some photos on our way to Toontown. Our main goal for tonight was to get Kira's face painted. She saw some kids with their faces painted when we went to the Halloween Party on the 22nd and she asked if she could get it done too. We tried that night but the line was really long so we promised we would do it on Halloween Night.

17-43.jpg

17-44.jpg

I was hoping to find The Tremaines tonight and we did!! It was on our way so we stopped there first.

The line was a little long but they took quite a bit of time with people so we didn't mind.

17-45.jpg

Kira was a little shy at first, probably because there were 3 of them so she stayed on the side for a bit while they admired her book. I had them on a separate page along with Cinderella, the prince and Fairy Godmother and they were funny because they were putting them down as they looked at them. "Oh ohhhhhhh!!! What is SHE doing on here!!!??? She's not supposed to be on my page!" LOL!

17-46.jpg

Kira was still shy so Lady Tremaine had to coax her into coming to talk with them and then after that she was just fine and chatted with Drizella.

17-47.jpg

17-48.jpg

They were all really great at their roles! Every time someone snapped a pic, they made these hilarious grimaces!

17-49.jpg

Kira was thrilled because Anatasia gave her a whole bunch of suckers!

17-50.jpg

So then we went right to Toontown but the line for face painting was long again so Rob got in line and Kira and I went and got some candy and then played in the Toontown Park for awhile.

17-51.jpg

After about 25 minutes, it was her turn!

17-52.jpg

She sat really still and let the man do his job. There weren't too many choices, there was a board with about a dozen different faces to choose from so we picked a cute one for her.

17-53.jpg

Believe it or not, she doesn't have anything on her lips!! I'd like to know where she got those gorgeous ruby red lips!!!!

She absolutely loved it! She kept admiring herself in the mirror! :rotfl:

17-54.jpg

17-55.jpg

We were about to leave when Rob decided he wanted his face painted too. He asked for a scary pirate face but she said that they couldn't really do scary. It turned out pretty good though!

17-57.jpg

Once again we were about to leave when Rob said I should get my face painted too. The girl agreed and so I sat in the chair. I told her to do whatever she wanted and this is what she did.

17-56.jpg

These people at the face painting booth were tremendously talented! And quick!! She did Rob's face in 3 minutes and mine and Kira's in less than two minutes! While the line is long, it was nice to know that they tried to be as quick as possible to get as many done!

Day 17 Part 5

October 31st - BLT & Halloween at MNSSHP

I think we might have ridden Pooh at this point and then we went to Tomorrowland. She danced with Stitch for awhile :goodvibes

17-58.jpg

17-59.jpg

Then we rode Wedway again.

17-60.jpg

After the first parade was over we walked over to Adventureland. I think we checked to see how long the line was for Jungle Cruise but we never went on so it must have been too long.

We grabbed a Dole Whip to share and then ran over just in time for Hallowishes.

17-61.jpg

Back to Adventureland we went, looking for some new characters. We found Genie and Abu! :thumbsup2

I didn't even know Abu was a character in the parks, so I never put him on Kira's Aladdin page in her book. Well, Abu was a little upset at that so he drew himself on the page, it was hilarious!!!

I will have to take some pics of her finished autograph book and post them later.

17-62.jpg

17-63.jpg

17-64.jpg

I like how she's waving Good-Bye to Genie here

17-65.jpg

It was early but we figured we should get a spot for the parade soon. This time we found a spot near the Diamond Horseshoe Review so that we could make a quick getaway to Pirates afterward.

While we were sitting there, I texted S & B to see where they were. They were just over by the Presidents and said they would join us for the parade.

Kira was glad to have some company!

17-67.jpg

Love the Headless Horseman!!!

17-66.jpg

Kira loved the parade just as much as the first time she saw it and her favourite part was the candy that they give out!

17-68.jpg

We were all really warm and tired, it had been a long day so we all decided to go ride Pirates together and then head home.

We found some pirates along the way.

It's blurry but I love the way she is playing with his chin here!

17-69.jpg

17-70.jpg

We all rode pirates together one last time and then walked out of the park, slowly enjoying the atmosphere one last time.

Kira loved getting a drink of water at the fountains.

17-71.jpg

I took a couple quick shots on the way out.

17-72.jpg

17-73.jpg

We agreed to meet up with S & B and family the next morning for one last breakfast and then we parted ways.

I can't even begin to tell you how fabulous it was to be able to just walk back to our room and be there in less than 10 minutes!!!

Kira was still doing well, that long nap really helped so we just took our time walking back, trying to enjoy every last second of the evening.

It had been a tough start to the morning but the day really improved and turned out to be really great. I don't recall a single big meltdown, just the usual stuff you would expect from a 2 year old. :goodvibes

I was still feeling yucky but I just sucked it up as best I could and it turned to be the best day we'd had in a week!

The pictures of the BLT look wonderful Cass. Have to try Kona Cafe...was this in the Poly?

You betcha! If you are in the area, definitely give it a try! ::yes::

I love pics like this. The unposed and unplanned

Yeah, me too! :goodvibes

As always, the pictures were great and my favorite is the "fan" picture. Very sweet. :cutie:

Yes, that's where Tonga Toast is! We never tried it because I don't like french toast and it's too sweet for Rob. But I have heard great things about it!

My daughter does the EXACT same thing with crayons. Breaking them doesn't annoy me as much as finding little bits of paper everywhere.

Back on the ship...I was impressed with Flounder's, too. I was impressed.

Wow, that was nice of them!!!

Yeah, the paper irritates me too but the destruction of every single crayon really irks me :rolleyes1

Awesome trip report so far! Kira is adorable!

Thanks! :goodvibes

We went to Kona for breakfast the first time on our last day Cass, and i was very amazed at the quality of the food. :thumbsup2

Wasn't it awesome??? We will make a point to visit next time, no matter where we are staying!! :thumbsup2

How adorable! I love these pictures with her admiring herself! Too precious!

Yeah, she was pretty pleased with herself :lmao:

Great updates! Kira looks so cute dressed up and it looks like she had a great night! And I bet those beautiful red lips were from that sucker! :thumbsup2
