Questions from a 1st time Disney cruiser???

We will be going on our first Disney cruise on 1/17/10 for 4 nights followed by a 3 night stay at WDW. Do you get shampoo, conditioner, lotion etc. in your stateroom thereby eliminating the need to bring it with you? Also how dressed up do you need to be for dining in the dining room for dinner? We are pretty casual people and would like to go as casual as possible! Finally if my sister and I and our children are sharing a cabin and we want to set it up so any charges she makes can be paid for with her disney reward card and vice versa, how is this done? We want to use our Disney Reward Card not the VISA.

Yes, you get shampoo, conditioner, and body butter in your stateroom. It is H2O brand.

You can link each KTTW card to a different mode of payment if desired. To use your Disney rewards card, you will have to go to Guest Services and have them swipe the card. You will still be asked to place cash or a credit card on the account in case you spend more than is on the rewards card. They will first use any onboard credit, then the rewards card, then the "real" money. IF you choose to allow your child to charge, you will sign financial responsibility for your child, your sister will sign it for her child. DO check your account a day or so into the trip. Even after we had each KTTW tied to a different payment, they messed up and tied mine to one of our friends' i the same cabin.

On the wonder, evenings are listed as "cruise casual," "pirate or cruise casual." and one night it "dress up optional." People wear everything from jeans to cocktail dresses. You will not be out of place in any of your choices. The Wonder is a lot more casual than the Magic.

Your stateroom host will replenish it as needed. You'll start with one 2.7 ounce bottle of each in your bathroom (much more generous than the typical 1 ounce or .75 ounce bottles in many hotels.) Just leave the nearly empty containers on the bathroom shelf, and they will magically be pixie dusted into full containers. The almost empty ones will remain there so they are not wasted either.

Another first timer here, so I'm glad to learn some of these answers too!

I was concerned about dress too - we'll be on the Magic for 7-days. So, my understanding is we'll have a "semi-formal" and a "formal" night, plus we have both brunch and dinner reservations at Palo. We're *really* casual too, so I'm a bit worried!

I have seen some people dressed to the nines at dinner, and they looked like they were out on the town! They probably had some great pictures to take home.

However, it seems about half the folks are in jeans and shirts, even on what they call "formal" or dressy night. You will NOT feel out of place in the least. Not at all. Everyone is having a great time and I have never ever seen any reaction by the staff or other passengers to clothing (except Pirate night when everyone said "Arrrgh" to me because of my great outfit!).

We are very casual, but we won't be in jeans! I have a couple of dresses for the semi/formal nights and Palo (though our server might get tired of seeing those 2 dresses, lol!). They're not the fanciest dresses by any means, but I'd wear them to church on Easter, so that's as dressy as I get (seeing as week to week, we wear jeans to church!). Dh will definitely be in khaki's and collared shirts for the semi and Palo brunch, and a jacket for the formal night and Palo dinner.

Sounds like we'll be a happy medium - and that's just fine by me!
