i have no idea what -4c comes to but it sounds way to cold for me!!!!:lmao:my canada trips in my life have consisted of niagra falls in october, twice! and i froze my rear end off!!! :lmao: been to toronto also in the summer and that was still to cold!:lmao: what do you heat your house with in the great white north?

October is shorts weather here for me, I live about an hour north of Toronto, basically in the country.

We burn beaver pelts in our fireplaces.:rotfl2:

Seriously, it is a mixture of electric, some oil in the suburbs and mostly natural gas, or propane where the pipes are not run. In all honesty some in my area that don't have gas, heat with wood burning stoves (but that is pretty uncommon).

Hey Fed, speaking of fishing, I see a ton of Michigan plates in my area, we live on a lake and they are up here to catch a lot of jumbo perch.

Ever been fishing in Canada?

I admit I was googling jokes about Wisconsin to respond to Barrys crack about maple syrup.

Anyway came up with this, I guess that you could insert any town in, but I am going to stick with Wisconsin. :rolleyes1 I thought it was pretty funny.

Newsflash from Madison, Wisconsin:
Worst air disaster in Wisconsin's history occurred when a small two-seater plane Cessna 150, piloted by two local university students, crashed into a cemetery earlier today in Madison. Search and rescue workers have recovered 300 bodies so far and expect the number to climb as digging continues into the evening. The pilot and copilot survived and are helping in the recovery efforts.;)

Where else but the DIS Dads Club do people care enough to research jokes? :thumbsup2

:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

I wish someone would invent a mute button for mother in-laws.:thumbsup2

hey, you changed your picture!! tossed me a curve ball there. if i was ryan howard i would of missed it!!:lmao::lmao: how you make out w/ your dvc question? i like reading those threads, they really get going on there. people have spread sheets and predict there futures and you get the finacial advisers throwing in there 2 cents.(which is about what they have left in the stock market.):lmao: its a rip. :lmao:

Here is a converter for temps

http://www.wbuf.noaa.gov/tempfc.htm

In the deep freeze of winter, it is not uncommon to get -25 to -30 C with the wind chill. That is -13 F. :cold:

Ehh! DisneyDaddy-O, I salute you from Mobile Alabama where its in the 50's. Sorry! Y'all come to see us!! I'd love to come visit Canada ... in the summer! I admire anybody who can handle that temp. Loved the airplane joke!

DisneyFed: Welcome Home!

:worship: better you than me. did you play hockey? i dont see a team denoted anywere. you have to be a hockey fan.

my dad had season tickets to the flyers when i was a kid. i was the only 4th grader who could sing the canadian national anthum!:lmao: "oh canada,my home and native land..." :lmao: i grew up watching the broad street bullies, clark, barber, leach, moose dupont, the hammer dave schultz. i miss the old time hockey when it seemed they played for the sport of it and not the money. i loved the nick names, they dont have that stuff anymore.

About 10 years ago my office sent me up to northern Quebec to learn French, for the program they put you in a house with a local family. I remember waking up one morning and looking at the digital thermometer in the kitchen, it was -42 C. The father sees me looking at it and says "You know the sensor is inside the garage not outside". I was helping them shovel the driveway and my eye's were watering from the wind, I closed my eyes for a few seconds and my eyelashes froze together.

We played all the time growing up, I make a rink on the river in my backyard and my kids play on there now. I will try to get some pics up, when I go home.

I am a Leafs fan, please no jokes, I've suffered enough.:lmao:

It's just not the same now, I am having a real hard time really getting into it the last few years. Hopefully they start to win a few more games and things get a little more exciting.

Thanks, but when its that cold I just stay in the house. A couple of times last year my car just wouldn't start until it warmed up a bit. If it could talk it probably would of said "What are you nuts!!".:lmao::lmao:

I think maybe next year we are considering a road trip :drive:in the summer, we have some relatives in NC, we would probably stop there. Alabama might be a little out of the way but one day I'd love to come check it out. I'm a foodie so, I hear there is some good BBQ down there. I may have to ask a few questions about where the locals eat, those are always the best places.:thumbsup2

Now hold on just a minute. You think you can just walk in here off the street, and declare, "I'm in."?? That's not how this club works. To join, you must past 3 lethal tests. Test so cunning, so cleverly devised, and so complex that mere mortals would tremble--

Ah, never mind. You're in! Welcome!

Not sure how many of you will see this tonight before it expires but here is a link to download the score from UP for free:

the code is latimesdisney

Hurry, this offer is only good through Dec 3rd.

Dang. I tried, but kept getting an error message. Maybe it's reached its limit?

Oh well. I'm a movie music geek, so this was right up my alley. Giacchinno's score was really good, too.

Good to see you here! Just watch out for Disney Daddy-O. He's been trying to make fun of Wisconsin, but only with what Google tells him about our fair state! :rotfl2:

I got an error too. I got a kick out of the legal fine print. "Offer only good while supplies last." Um, hello? It's an electronic download. How do you run out?
