Fairy GodMAW Grants Princess Bella's WISH! Update 12/2 - One more sleep til Disney!

Yesterday, in the midst of my packing, I noticed the mailman put ANOTHER package into our mailbox! Just when I thought the Big Give had given us everything, there was MORE!

The package was from Crystal in Virginia. DIS Id TinkaBelle!

Bella was super excited to open it . . . . after her chores of course!

And inside were 3 adorable Tinkerbell skirts with matching shirts! Look at the cute Tink outfit and ribbon wings! And it gets better . . . . . matching hair accessories!

Check out Kennedy showing off her hair bow! She LOVES it!

A sassy little girl . . . just like Tinkerbell!

Aren't these the cutest things you've ever seen? AJ was thrilled that her shirt is, once again, a big sis version!

And this afternoon, I returned home from buying socks to find this on my stoop:

and guess what was inside?

BEDDING!!!! and another surprise. This was the bedding set I wrote about yesterday from DISer aaronandterri

it's even more beautiful in real life!

and there was another surprise:

a fun box of games for Bella to play in her new princess bedroom!

THANK YOU TERRI! I can't wait to return home and see it on Bella's bed!

And last, but not least. Yesterday, after I purchased some fabric at JoAnn's, I returned home and quickly sewed three skirts! Yep, you read that right . . . I . . . sewed! They aren't great and to be honest the "sew-easy" pattern was a challenge for me. But I needed something for the girls to wear while at US/IOA and we all love the Grinch. I wasn't able to find any Grinch fabric, but the one I found was pretty cute and the colors were Grinch-y. I had purchased the leggings and tops on Black Friday with something like this in mind.

The waistlines are pretty sad, in fact I need to replace the skinny elastic with thicker stuff which I will do in FLA.

But they look okay from a distance and that's all that really matters, right?

My sewing is atrocious compared to the impeccable seams I have seen in our Big Give gifts, but as long as the skirts don't fall apart while we're at the park, the skirts will serve their purpose!

Oops! I almost forgot -

MICKEY MAIL came today!

A postcard from Bella's Fairy Godmother!

To summarize, the Fairy Godmother told Bella that her arrival day is the same as Walt Disney's birthday! She also said she can't wait to see Bella at WDW in just a few days! Very exciting!

AJ and Kennedy recieved postcards too! Unfortunately, I didn't get pictures of them. AJ's postcard was an Expedition Everest one - a favorite ride of hers! And Kennedy's was Finding Nemo!

Woohoo..I leave for a while and look how much you got done! Whoa horsie! Not quite yet! We actually leave tomorrow morning - about 18 hours from now! You didn't really think I'd leave without saying Good Bye did you?

I'm not worried about the elastic. I did't sew the seam shut and Grandma is going to be there so when I say "I'm going to replace . . . " I actually mean "I'm going to ask master sewer grandma to replace . . . " the elastic!
I absolutely love the wings too. I just hope they don't get crushed in the luggage on the way down. I tried to pack them carefully so they weren't bent or smushed. Keep your fingers crossed!

Our LIMOUSINE is picking us up at 4:45 tomorrow morning. I hope the girls are awake enough to realize what they are riding in. It's not been easy for me to keep that secret to myself!
I recieved a call yesterday from Make A Wish that our flight has been changed to earlier. We were originally taking off at 7:25 and now it's 7:05. Looking at the bright side of things (and ignoring the fact that we need to get up even earlier), that means 20 more minutes in Florida!

And it's double-tricky because isn't your city (purposely omitting the name so other moms seeking adorable Tinkerbell outfits can't hunt you down, kidnap you, and force you to create beautiful clothes for their daughters as well) also a large city in Virginia? As I tell my DDs, I've never been wrong before, so just in case you may want to ask someone and make sure you're in the right state

One more day until we can forget about the past 5 years of medical $#%& and just be a 'normal' family at GKTW
One more day until we have 10 full days without appointments, tests, labs, or needles
One more day until "special needs" just means we need extra pampering. On this trip we will ALL have special needs!
One more day until Bella, AJ, and Kennedy enjoy 10 days of indulgence, pampering, and being treated like the true princesses they are.
One more day until we put worrying about the future on pause and just enjoy the present moment with our family.
One more day.

Well, thanks to all of your and your encouragement over the past 2 days, I have time to write that sappy stuff above!

I am packed! We are ready to go with time to spare! I just have a few loose ends to tie up here today but, as suggested by many, I am going to take a deep breath, relax, and prepare myself to enjoy the trip of a lifetime!

And because you all have been such great motivation, I'm going to post one last list here of miscellaneous things to be done before we leave.

*take a key over to Wendy (muralist)
*post day 7 plans(the remaining days are pretty easy, but I need a little direction on day 7)
*fill out and mail in rebate forms from Black Friday
*return paint swatches to Michelle
*return movies to Jen
*charge all portable electronics (3XDS, 4XiPod, 2X cell phones, batteries for cameras)
*lunch - maybe with a friend
*take a long, hot bath
*finish putting up Christmas decorations inside
*1 last load of laundry
*clean the house
*consolidate all bedroom makeover items into one neat pile
*relax . . . . . really!

I'll pop in here a couple of times today to (hopefully) update this list with lots of green! And then tonight, post one final update before we leave!

I love the LGMHs!!! Heather made some for us on our last Big Family Trip. Mine is getting a little worn out, I need to get her to make me some more! I had several people come up and stop me because they saw them, and I stopped a few people when I saw theirs. Just a tip, you might want to write down their Dis names right after you meet them so you don't forget! And, I always asked to take a picture with them too. Which, is QUITE outgoing for me!

I called GKTW yesterday to ask about the castle villa and gave them a heads up on the packages too! Thanks for the reminder! With all the packages, GKTW might think we are moving in!

Let me know if Heather isn't able to make you new LGMH and I'd be happy to make you some! I am keeping a pen and notepad in my backpack for writing down names. Also, check back later tonight as I'm going to post a couple more xtras that I had time to make since the packing is finished!

I wish we could too! It's 50 and overcast here in WI right now (very good for Dec. in WI) but I hear the next 2 weeks are supposed to be below average temps and SNOW! Woo hoo for going to FLORIDA!

Yesterday was indeed a remarkably productive day for me. I'm so glad I got it all done so I could relax today! Oh yes! Definitely going to snap a picture with the last Mickey Head being removed!
