Found You!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Dinner is trout, baked potato, salad .That's it!

I got my outdoor decorations up. Daniel helped me with my inflatable Santa so I am good/ My neighbor has his sicicle lights on his house and they are on. Now I really don't care when anyone turns their lights on, but Holy Moly!!!!!!!!!!!!!! They are all lighting up at different times, blinking really fast and are in 9 foot sections. It looks like the landing strips at an airport and is blinking maniacally in my windows :dance3:

Its easy here tonight with tacos (the girls begged lol).

I can't believe its time for people to start putting up their Christmas decorations already lol..we are waiting until the first weekend in Dec this year since I have to actually clean out our storage unit to find the decorations lol..sooo dreading that...

Nan, :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

I was thinking we would do the lights next weekend. I'm sure it will be 20 below:rolleyes1

Ellen, thinking of Jay...hoping he's on his way.

Bethany, how's your head? Have you tried the Excedrin Migraine? It's pretty good.

Vickie, you out there???? Hope you got some rest last night. I'm sending your box Monday:hippie:

Dinner tonight will be burgers.
Trying to make out a grocery list for Thanksgiving....boring with just 3 people. It didn't bother me when I was flying home that morning but now it's downright depressing.

Dinner tonight here is Spinach and asiago cheese chicken sausage, mac and cheese, and grilled zucchini.

I have to share this...one year I was decorating the porch and had a gazillion lights.............yes, I have Clark Griswold syndrome.....and when I plugged them in the entire neighborhood went dark  My neighbor came over and told me I Clarked the neighborhood :lmao::lmao::lmao:

Ann-I meant to tell you I loved the stocking and would really like adding that platter to the collection that i seem to be building

I am here and a bit behind...

dinner will probably be Chinese take out. We just got back to Tom's after a trip to the where the new house is being built and Pittsburgh. We went to Primanti's for lunch. Pretty interesting food. Would say it was not over the top delicious but I am glad we tried it. They put fries, cole slaw (the vinegar kind) and tomato on all the sandwiches which are made on italian bread slices. I think it would be better if they put a bit on salt on the fries...why not make it a bit more unhealthy? A cute older lady was walking through selling homemade baklava for $1 that was really good!

Its in an interesting section called the strip. Lots of food stores and bakeries. We forgot the stroller or else we would have walked more. I really loved the architecture of Pittsburgh and cannot wait to have more time there.

The hole in the ground where our house will be was quite nice to see. I have pics of us where the basement will be. This process is moving pretty quick.

Pics will be on FB soon.

I read back but cannot grasp it all.

Maria, Sorry your trip got cancelled. sounds like a real prize that guy!

Kathy, please go to the doctor. If you need to talk let me know.

Ellen, I hope Jay travels soon. It would be nice for him to be home for the holiday.

Lauri, Sorry you got hit with the bug. When are you leaving?

***

Gotta run. the baby needs to be fed and I need to check on Riley. He did really well in the car. I bought him a bully bone so he is probably off in a corner some where.

Love to all~

Just checking in Thanks Kat

Lauren- we leave about 2 am Dec 16 glad to see you had a good time and are back safe.

Only you!!!!!!:lmao:

What flavor is the vodka??????I could go for some now.

Lauren, I'm so glad your pleased with the hole is the ground. How is Tom's pad?;)

Night, night Vic...

I have a box of TJs pumpkin bread in the house, would it be gross if I put chocolate chips in it?

I'm here. Kathy Thank you very much for taking care of our home!

Kat, Now I'm gonna fuss! You get yourself to the dr. right away! You have a good doc, he'll only do what's necessary to check you out. He will probably set your mind at ease. Putting it off only causes you more worry. If you don't call him I will drag you there myself! If you would like me to come with you, it would not be any trouble at all!

I'm cooking my 2nd pot roast this evening. I got a late start, the humidity went up & my sinuses were really bad this morning.

I'm going to make the chocolate pecan pie. I can't decide if I'm going to do pear tarte that's in my Food & Wine mag or do a n'awlins style bread pudding with rum sauce.

Vickie, I'm glad the boy's going to get his fruit loops!:goodvibes

Nancy, I'd be tempted to sabotage that neighbor's lights. I can't stand that when they are all blinking at different times.

Lauren, I'm glad you're had a nice time. I had to laugh at myself. I missed the part about Riley & was wondering what the heck was a bully bone that you would buy for the baby!

Welcome to our newbies!! :goodvibes Stay and chat! As you can tell we are a chatty bunch!
Dinner was a very late lunch of take out fried chicken & red beans. It was good chicken & I ate too much.

Bethany, how's your head? Have you tried the Excedrin Migraine? It's pretty good.

My head is pretty good, thanks.

Yes, I've tried Excedrin Migraine and Advil Migraine. Neither are strong enough. I have a prescription for Imitrex, and that only works if I catch it early enough. If I don't take that right away, it's not strong enough either. :headache:

You know what is odd? I'm finding my sinuses seem to get worse on the days it happens to be dry. I'm fine until it gets down to about 70%. Then UGH.

And yes, it appears I just called humidity below 70% "dry". :rotfl:

Sorry your head is hurting. I can totally relate!

I'm trying to remember what I had wanted to comment on from the other thread...and failing miserably at it. :rolleyes1

Kathy - You've told me before that I'm too young to fuss at you. Well, I recently had a birthday, sooooo......GET YOURSELF TO THE DOCTOR!!!
Seriously though, I hope that you can go and get your worries eased. Pretending to ignore it won't help.

Good to know! Those IHOP pancakes were DELISH so I will have to get some!

I'm so glad your trip is going well - can't wait to see pics of your hole! My dogs go :yay: for bully sticks!

I was going to make dinner, but we both neglected to have lunch so after buying a huge TV for our gameroom, we stopped at Chick Fil A for "lunch" at 4pm. So, we're just snacking now.

My new TV arrives Tuesday. I'm a wee bit excited but frustrated at all the STUFF we have to get. Another surround sound system (and of course DH thinks we neeeeeeeeed this particular pricey one), another DVD player, a Blu Ray player, Dish to come install service and a new box, etc. I couldn't just plug it in and watch it of course!

Kathy, thanks for the new home!!!!

remyandhollandsmommy & Mommy2three, welcome aboard! This is a great group of ladies. Look forward to sharing recipes and stories.

Nancy, I would love my house decorated for Christmas. I dread taking down the fall decor. DH loves Christmas so I am sure we will be fully decorated by next weekend.

Aimee, your DH sounds like mine when it comes to electronics.

Talk to you all tomorrow...one in bed, and one to go!

Warning!!!! Don't buy the Harry & David peppermint truffles thinking you'll keep them until Christmas!!!!! It's impossible, they're delicious:cool1::yay::cool1:

Turkey question. I want to try Alton Brown's brining method, but don't have space in my fridge to put it. I can use a fridge at work but the directions say to let it soak for 8-16 hours... and it'd have to sit longer than that if it sits at work (more like 20 hours or so). Would that ruin it?
