Hi,
Anyone have any experience with the Photopass system? I’ve read all the relevant info about how it works & it seems very straight forward…

Get your first photo taken & get a card…. Use the card for each subsequent photo….at the end of your trip you can get a cd with all the photos…..great idea says I.

My question is this, can I order the cd after I get home and will they (Disney) ship it to me in Australia. Many of our US colleagues talk about reviewing the photos, selecting borders etc & ordering, all from the comfort of home…..which sounds great, but given that they won’t ship the trip planning DVD to Australia I’m a but sus about it…..

I think they would though I can't tell you exactly. We went last year and bought the disc while we were there. Then we came home and we could still view the photos on their website. I made a photobook online with a mixture of their photos and mine and they posted that over, so you'd think they'd post the disc. It really didn't take long to buy while I was there though.

No they will not send you the CD you have to purchase it on the day we asked on our last trip, But as you know you can access online your photos.

Yes! you can definately get it delivered to Australia, it costs around $17 in shipping when i ordered it earlier this year.

It was great to be able to edit and add borders to photos once at home, and as it's the one price no matter how many photos you have, i turned around 200 photos into 500 with multiple borders and cropping etc.

it does take a long time to add each border, and i was a bit worried about the expiry date of the pictures,(which is 30 days after you first view them) so i emailed disney and they were able to extend them for 10 days, so i could finish editing.

In the end i received 2 discs from disney, very quickly as well!

So it sounds like they will ship....although based on Darren123's experience not all disney CM's may be aware of this....

Thanks for the link Poohbear.....

Looks like I stand corrected when we went in 2008 they would not ship the CD because we were told to go online to order photos if we wanted to, But the photo CD is the way to go, we got over 150 photos on the CD and worth every cent to have.

Hi there, we received our CD full of photos from Photopass last week. When I got back from the US, I went to their website and viewed the photos, added a ton of borders etc., made 40 photos into 95 using the borders, then I ordered the CD of images for $59.95US. It arrived a week later, no muss, no fuss

Excellent! I'm looking for to making good use of the system.....the thing I usualy find when we get back from a holiday is that I've got lots of photos (if I don't forget to take them), none of which have me in them....

We got the photobooks and CDs. No problems at all, all done from home. The photobook is really nice. We even included some of our own photos.

We ordered mugs with photo pass photos, cd, christmas decorations, mouse mat and the book. At the time if you ordered the cd the postage was no extra to add books and other items. All were of a fantastic quality. I added the borders from home before ordering the cd and even added my pwn photos to the photopass book.

We ordered the photo pass cd after our return home for both our WDW 2007 and DLR 2008 trips. Just keep in mind that you need to upload your photos from the photo pass card to a photo pass account within 30 days of the date of the first photo, and then you have 30 days after you upload all your photos to add borders etc and either order your disc or your prints. I didn't do the cd this year as we only came across a couple of photographers and ended up with only two photos on the card.

the photopass is excellent, we asked the photographer to do some magic photos too. i have one of ds aged 9 pointing to the ground where stitch is popping thru a man hole, we have one where the whole family is pointing to the sky at the fab 4 in a hang glider, i also have one of myself holding tink in my hand, so very cool.:yay:

Just ordered mine over the net yesterday so you can order it from home for sure.

yep, i ordered photo cd's of the photopass pictures, also oredered a separate cd of photo we took ourselves because you can "disney" edit them on line.we ordered them over the net from nz and it probably took about 10 days to receive them. they are very cool. doesnt matter how many pictures you put on them, its just a set price:love:

We've just returned from 2 weeks at WDW and 2 weeks at DL. I uploaded our photopass details whilst we were still at WDW and the 30 day countdown started from that upload date. (The same card can be used at both parks).

I also discoverd that the WDW CD price is different to the DL price. The price you pay depends on which park you go to last. The WDW price is about USD149 but we ended up paying the DL price which was about USD50.

I ordered my discs 2 days ago and according to their website it has already been posted, so that was very quick.

There was a special code on the photpass site that gave me a $15 discount. You can also order a second disc for only $20 more. Postage was USD10.

I uploaded some of my own photos and added borders. The borders for your own uploaded pics are not the same as the photopass ones and are very basic. I ordered that disc separately as it worked out cheaper postage wise to do it that way, plus I was able to apply the discount code again so the disc only cost about $5! (plus postage).

There seemed to be photographers everywhere at WDW, but they were in very short suppy at DL.

I think we had about 300 photos taken but by the time I had added borders (at home) it had grown to more than 900!

Did you sign up for photopass before you went to DW?

We are heading to the US on Jan 10 with 11 days in Orlando (17th - 28th) and was just wondering if l need to sign up for the photopass before we leave and where is the best and cheapest place to do it.

TIA
K
