I have been to disney many times but never used the magical express..

So you don't go to the level 2 where you get the luggage..You would go down to level 1 where the rental car counters are..is that correct.

What am I looking for? Do I check in at a counter?

thanks..

Yes, you go down to level 1, when you get to level 1 go to your right and walk you will eventually come to the DME counter. Sometimes you have to wait at the counter the last two times the CM sent me to the bus lines where there was a podium and they asked me how many pieces of checked luggage I had and then sent me to the line for my bus. When you reach the DME area there will be Cast Members around to direct you.

Tozzie,
Thanks for the quick response.:thanks: Is that you go right, when you get off the elevators?

I take the escalator so it is to the right the elevators I think open on the other side so it would be to your left.

Easy way to orient yourself (I have trouble with left/right, north/south, etc): when you get to level one, face the outside - even if that means turning around :). Then head to your right.

thank you....good way to explain...I know where outside is...always in a hurry to get out the airport get my retal car and get to Disneyworld:yay:

Make sure that you head down to the first floor on side B of the airport. I forgot that and ended up going down to side A only to have to head back upstairs and go to the other side of the terminal.

Selected passengers' travel paths about the MCO main terminal to Magical Express including baggage fetching required after 10 PM (level 2), using a football field as a backdrop or analogy or metaphor. Someone said that for Southwest (lower right path) it was a 3/5'th mile walk from security (yellow marking) although it did not seem that far to me.

Are "Side A" and "Side B" labelled as just that? Or something else? I'm used to heading to ground transportation on side A - I think - but I don't recall ever seeing the signs for A or B.

Yes, it is labeled; last time I believe I remember going off to my left to get to Side B.....when you got off the tram.

Ok good, thanks Missytara. I always head right after the tram so my thinking was correct, I usually head to Side A. Must re-train my brain to go LEFT to B on Friday!!! Yahoo 4 days & counting!

There are big neon letters A and B on the side walls a little above eye level as you head towards the baggage claim and ground transportation areas after exiting security. If you saw the A you would do an about face to go the other way.

Depends on which side of MCO you arrive on. There are two different sections to each side. So, it may very well be different when arriving on Side B...you could turn left, or you could turn right. But, there are very good directions in the info packet.

Mine never arrived - that's why I'm relying on the DIS!!! :)

What airline are you arriving on?? Gates 1-29 include American and Continental, gates 100-129 service Jetblue and SW.....those gates are all on the A side.
Gates 30-59 service United and US Airways, while gates 60-99 service AirTran, Delta and NW...all on Side B. Gates 1-59 would have a right turn when getting off the tram and then heading down to DME...gates 60-129 will turn left when leaving the tram area.
If you think of MCO as a big X, the top parts of the X are Side A, with gates 1-29 arriving on the left side of the top of the X and gates 100-129 on the right top of the X, Side A.
The bottom of the X would be Side B, with gates 30-59 on the bottom left, and gates 60-99 on the bottom right...if you can see what I mean.
DME is actually located on level 1, underneath the bottom left of the X. You arrive on level 3, baggage claim is on level 2.
I state all this for those who are not all that familier with the various levels at MCO...just in case a new person is reading along.

Continental - so gates 1-29. THANK YOU for the detailed info!

Phew....after I posted that, I thought 'oh, way too much info'. But it's good to have an idea of the layout and that's the best way I can describe it. I never did get that football field analogy.
