Parking at Logan? Help!

I just booked our airfare.
No other part of the vacation is done yet, but the airfare was reasonable enough for me to book now.

We have always flew out of JFK and parked at Avistar, but this time, we are flying out of Logan. Never have before! For those familiar with parking at Logan, what are your recommendations?

We always use Preflight Parking in Chelsea. They always have a 25% off coupon on their website. They run alot of shuttles to the airport which is a few miles from their lot. Shuttles usually pull right up to where you park your car and help you load your luggage.

We never park at Logan, it's too expensive. I personally haven't used the Park & Go lot in chelsea (which is now called Preflight Parking), but know many individuals who have and had good experiences with it.

Another vote for PreFlight. No way will I pay to park at Logan, but I have no problem taking a shuttle to the terminals. Much cheaper by far.
If I were driving up from Ct, I might be very tempted to stay the night before departure at one of the stay, park, fly hotels in the area.

Thanks. I did find information on Pre-Flight and also on Thrifty parking??, but never having used either of them, so I was a little worried. Just so I understand, you are told where to park once you get there and they come with the shuttle directly to your parking spot?

Assuming an 8 am flight in the morning, what time should I be looking to arrive at the parking location?

We are thinking about staying the night before in Boston, but not sure if that will actually happen.

Another option, especially if you have an early morning flight, is to book a hotel that allows you free parking. We booked one through www.parksleepfly.com. It was less expensive to stay a night with a free shuttle the airport and free parking for two weeks than it was to just park.

Ah...that's what I was trying to remember...thanks.
If your flight is at 8am, I would really think about arriving the day before, getting a good night's sleep and then shuttling over to Logan. Otherwise, you're going to be up way early, which is going to make you cranky by about 4pm.
If you do decide to drive up that morning, I would plan on getting to PreFlight by 5:30..give yourself plenty of time to park, get the shuttle and then into the terminals. It's a bit of a ride over to Logan, not just across the street.

I see that you are in CT. Which means you'll probably be coming via the Mass Pike?

Another option would be to park at the Logan Express Shuttle in Framingham at Exit 12. We've done this several times and it has been great. The shuttles leave like every half hour and I believe kids are free. Not sure what the link is to the site, but just do a google for Logan Express Framingham.

We've never had a problem with it and we liked not having to drive into Boston at all. The bus drivers seem to know the quickest route and get you there comfortably and quickly.

Not sure how much the parking is since my inlaws live near there and we just park at their house.

Another vote for Pre Flight in Chelsea. I use it for my personal travel as well as recommending it to clients. Print out the discount coupon from their web site.

We always use the Logan express in Framingham. Parking is easy and the bus driver always seems to know the fastest route to Logan even if there is a lot of traffic.

We had an early morning flight out of Logan last year. We stayed at the Hampton Inn (about 4 miles away) the night before. We were able to keep our car there and take their shuttle to and from the airport. It was very convenient. I recommend it if you are coming from some distance away.

I have done all of the above but there is nothing like pulling into the Central Lot at Logan, parking, getting your bags out and walking to your gate. Figure $200/week more or less. I hate taking the shuttle from the economy lot or more on point going to get the car late at night when we get back from vacation, the bus schedule almost always gets us there two hours earlier than I really want to be or my flight is too late coming in to chance grabbing the last one or two busses, and staying at a hotel runs just slightly less than parking and I have to shuttle back and forth from there as well.

That being said, my girls' trip we'll park at Logan because it will be split among several different adults but when it is only DD and myself and I'm the sole payer, well I look at all the options. The last few years I've offered to drop off/pick up friends or family on their vacations if they will do the same for me and that has worked out well. About four hours of my time instead of $100 or more

I agree with this!
I know it is pricey, but we used central parking monday to monday, it was so easy, we got out of our car and walked right into the terminal,
it cost $180 and I felt it was worth every penny! especially since the day we left logan it was raining torrential downpours!
