1/12 : DTD p2 - The "I DID IT! I got DBF Addicted to Disney" TR; now with FOOD PORN!

Enjoying your TR, but had to pop in to comment.

The way you were so scared to go on it, Craig probably was anticipating a really scary ride...and the fact is...its not really at all...I have a hard time grasping what there is to be "scared" of on this ride. I always end up on it by myself because my DW and DD6 both avoid it...DW says it makes her nauseous...a much better excuse to me than "scary".

Plus maybe he got a "bad cycle" of drops. One time I was on it, it only dropped like 3 times, 2 of which were mini-drops. It was very disappointing compared to the heaftier cycles. This combined with being bummed that you chickened out on him could definitely make the ride seem kind of "meh". Next time you go...get him to try it again if you go through with it, he might really love it. We went with some freinds and the Dad and DD9 both thought it was their very favorite ride. (I favor Splash Mountain myself.)

NOOOOOOOO!! ToT disappointment! DANG!! How sad!! Did he truly not like it at all or was it just not "scary"? I didn't think it was really "scary", more like EXHILARATING and THRILLING!! I loved it. Oh well.

So sad that you missed the Monsters Inc characters too. Where are they? I didn't even know where to find them!! I'll have to make sure to find them and do the Backlot Tour next time!!

I think Jackie's hands and name are super girly. Oh well...maybe he was trying to be funny? (Emphasis on the trying! )

haha i am gunna try next time. i have mild anxiety and sometimes it acts up so I dont like to trigger it if I can avoid it. haha hes a pretty good catch.

hellO! totally understand what u mean, but its not really an "excuse" for me not to go on ToT. I would be lying if I said it made me nautious. it doesnt at all. I am scared of it, not the ghosts but the hieght and the dropping sensation are just not something i like. it made my anxiety act up, which actually annoys me and i wish it didnt happen because I felt super bad about not going on with him.

It definitly might have just been the drops, or maybe being bummed out, or maybe I hyped it up too much but I'm sure he'll try it again next time and hopefully I'll be able to too!

and btw i LOVE splash too. definitly my fave!

You're not lame!! I totally understand...I think this may be the only place we're not twins. I LOVE the dropping motion and it scares you! But that's okay. I actually think something might be wrong with me with how much I like it. I don't know if its natural

I'm so sad I didn't find them! I suppose I could've asked. I think its hard because they aren't near anything monster-y. They should move them to MK by the Laugh Floor! (Is there even room over there?) Like Buzz and Woody makes sense because its across from TSM...but I can't make a connection between monsters and the backlot tour!

I wish you were going back sooner!! I'll just take a detour to Canada and pick you up! Its only a little detour!

shes having a baby girl and im so so so sooo excitedf for her!

she called me (yes called me from her hospital room lol) not too long ago to let me know its all going well and that i shouldnt feel labour because after the epidural its all good lolol

Thanks guys! She had her little girl (she knew it was gunna be a girl) Ava on monday night at 9:30ish pm. She weighed 7.5lbs and she is just the cutest little thing. Im so happy for her and her DBF. Im definitly an "aunty" haha.

In more news today I had a meeting for another teachers college, and it went SOOOO well!! i think im in for sure! This is the school I really wanna get in to because its located in toronto, the other school I applied to is in Buffalo and it would be a huge huge pain and VERY expensive, so Im really hoping I get to this school! I had an interview with the lady who makes the decision and she said grade wise I should have no problem and experiance wise sounds good.

I should know about Buffalo soon and I`ll know about this school in JUNE! Which is sooo far away but I have good feelings.

Send me pixie dust please! i need it!!

Hi, Vallie!! I commented on your dining report, and just caught myself up with this one!! So much fun-- DBF grew to LOVE Disney from our August trip, and some of our favorite moments were just sitting on the bus going to the Poly for our dinner at Ohana, or just walking on Main Street. Don't get me wrong-- we love, loved all the rides and shows and experiences, but it's those "little moments" (like you guys watching TV at Pop!) that really make your trip and make you remember just how much you love your boyfriend/husband/family!

Also, hate to disappoint you-- but I think you and Craig went to the Wolfgang Express on the West Side. (Near House of Blues) They don't have pasta there. BUT-- at the Wolfgang express near Earl of Sandwhich, tucked in a little corner, they definitely still have all of their famous pasta dishes!! When we went on our last afternoon, it was a very tough decision for me between the four cheese pesto pizza and the baked macaroni (I went with the pizza-- delicious!). They definitely had the spaghetti and meatballs, too, because I tried to convince DBF to get that instead of the adult chicken fingers (which were incredibly delicious!!)
