Vinylmation

They are little Mickey shaped plastic "statues" that are decorated in different patterns. They are supposed to be collectable.

In my opinion, a hideous abomination that should be removed from the stores for wasting precious display space.... There is the occasional cute figure, but most of them are so ugly and/or scary. You can take a look at them in the Disney Store online, in the Disney Parks Merchandise section.

Um...what is it? :lmao:

Hard Plastic about 12" Mickey Mouse statues. They are collectable and decorated all different ways. At Halloween there is a Halloween one, Christmas a Christmas one, maybe a Star Wars one. Just another way to get us to spend our $$

Someone said that they use the blank statues to collect autographs on. Is this not a good idea? You think it would be hard for the characters to sign on the surface?

The most popular ones are 3" and cost about 9$ you dont get to pick they are a surprise in the box. I bought one it was ugly and won't buy another. :scared1: but people buy them by the case full! I don't get it.
I wouldn't get one to be signed either. Just like you said they would not be easy to sign and I wouldn't want to lug it around all day or try to hide it in the stroller. :scared1: JMO :goodvibes

I had to go look. Here's a link: http://www.disneystore.com/vinylmation-vinylmation-holiday-1-series-figure-3/p/1254966/70998/

Goodness, they are hideous, aren't they?

Thanks for the link!

I actually think some of them are kinda cute! I think it might be a fun activity for my kids to paint them however they wanted. THAT I could understand keeping. I don't see what's special about the way OTHER people have painted them, though, I will admit. Thanks for the help, y'all! :flower3:

I saw them earlier this month in WDW and I wasn't that impressed. I'd rather spend the money on a pin than on those oddly decorated Mickey statues. I actually think the one resembles Snoopy.

My husband agrees 100% with the previous posts! But I just wanted to let you know that our boys really love them - especially the suprise of opening them to see which ones they get! Initially, I think you could only buy them in the park, so they felt they were really special. (Now, they are available online.) The WDW cast members selling them were really enthusiastic about the selecting and opening process, so we had a lot of fun with it. For our kids, they are happy reminders of our trip and on display on their desks (cheerful for homework time!) But if they had not experienced that in the park, I don't think they would feel the same way. And they used their Christmas Disney dollars from grandparents to buy them, so although I would not have made the same choice, I certainly loved their happy reactions!

Totally off topic, but I LOVE the siggy! Poor Christina. :guilty:

The problem is that you don't know what you're getting, when you're buying the smaller size. They are in a sealed box.

I'll admit to loving the clear ones, but then, clear colored plastic is sort of eye candy for me, always has been.
