yeah it makes sense, but i don't know the price of a ten day hopper nor the price of dining. were looking at april16th to the 30th. so i figured it seemed like an amazing price but i'm not sure as we've only ever stayed at values.

I've booked April 30 and May 1 2010 at the 40% off and we're in a standard room/standard view and I'm paying $216/night including tax. :teacher:

This will be our first time at WL and we're excited! I do have a question though since we have no experience at this resort.:yay:

Are the bunkbed rooms a specific category? Or do I have a chance at getting one in a standard room? Is it a request? Or do I pay more at booking?:confused3

Any help would be great. Thanks!:goodvibes

Bunkbeds is a seperate, bookable category. Unfortunately, there are no standard view BB rooms. The least expensive way to get a bunkbed room is to book a Woodsview bunkbed room.

Has anyone stayed at the Poly 3 times and WLV 3 times? If so, could you please let me know why you prefer one over the other or what the pros/cons are of WL over the Poly? I love the Poly but have been itching to stay at WL but I'm one of those types that is worried that I might make the wrong choice (you know, like the time you don't order your favorite item on the menu and you wish you had???).
Thanks!

We have stayed at the WLV and the Poly on separate stays. I actually think they have a lot in common for what we like.

in common:
great themeing and ambience
very quiet resort area even when busy
feeling of being far away and relaxing to go back to beautiful resort
on a lake and offers boat rentals for extra fun
lots of great restaurants IN the hotel
easy to get to luau and hoop de doo (easiest of all resorts)
great room themeing and remodeled with flat panel tvs
easier bus transportation IMHO than the mods and others
Elec water pageant goes by each night
they have a beach and boat transportation
(we were in the villas so our rooms varied...but the reg rooms are pretty !!)

differences:
room size
themeing - just depends on what you want

so...its whether you want Hawaii or the woods....I honestly love both !!

good luck !(yes different sizes)

Just booked my return to the WL! January 21-28. Even got the AP 40% discount. Gonna give the Woods View a try this time. Can't wait. It's been w-a-y too long since we were there. It's our favorite!!

Looks like you are going when we are planning on going...But I'm still holding out for a deal. I'm pretty sure I'll go with WL - I have to try it at least once, right??? :)

We've always wanted to stay at the Poly and one year we decided to spend the extra money and go for it .......until we noticed that they don't have a hot tub! I know that might not be important to everyone but when we come back from a day in the parks the first thing I want to do is get changed and relax in the hot tub, even if it's 90+ degrees outside. I keep hoping that one day they'll add one at the Poly but until they do I just have to enjoy our visits to Ohana!

Ya know it wasn't that important to us, until we had the luxury of the hot tub at the end of the day. It was fantastic!

has anyone ever gotten a cake from Artist Point? I'm looking for a type of cake where they can do an edible image on it of Christmas for in Dec. I've gotten a cake delievered to the room before but it was a standard cake and icing cake. Thanks!

This is the info I have from the cake chatter thread- as I was not sure about where and what days we would be getting our cake(s) - ahem!

WL bakery Director is Chef Eddie Lancier-- call the WL, ask for private dining and then ask for Chef Lancier... I would bet that they will be very helpful in your needs, custom cake or standard.

Good Luck!

(if this doesnt pan out for you, feel free to PM me as I have also been stalking the cake thread for months)

We booked our next trip to WL a couple of weeks ago as I got the Buy 5/get 2 Free pin, but last night I got the 40% off pin and my TA was able to apply it to save us an additional $260+ Can't wait to go "home" it's been too long!

a bit of an odd question I suppose...

I plan to have many stops to the Terr Lounge in the evenings or afternoons while at the pool during our stay for some much loved Ice wine, last year the baby was only 10 months and preferred me to Daddy, this year he is much more independent-- so I plan to enjoy a glass (or several).
So do I have to stay in the lounge? or can I get my glass of wine and sit in the lobby by the tree or the firplaces or near the pool if the family is swimming? (ohh does the pool bar have Ice wine too?)
If I have to stay in the lounge, then maybe I would rather by a bottle from PD and keep it in my room?

I agree that is one thing that is disappointing about Poly. I love to relax in the Hot Tub after a long day in the Parks. This is strange when the Mods have Hot Tubs but not Poly.
Just my 2 cents worth.

We were able to take ours out to the pool area. DH went and got our drinks and they were in plastic cups.

Me and DD are having our first mommy/daughter trip to Disney. Leaving the boys at home for some girl time. We are staying WL Club Level. Our ressie says standard room. Can I make a room request and what are the views or perks of certain room views? We have never stayed CL at WL before so any info would be appreciated. We leave on Friday. :goodvibes

I would call or email them and request inner main courtyard, the view will be of the stream into the theme pool and also the lake, allowing you to see the Electric Water Pagent
