Stop Making Me Laugh Or I'll Pee My Pants! Go Back! I Lost My Shoe! Trip Report!

Morning all!

I missed a lot yesterday evening since I wasn't on the boards. Hunter and I were working on his final draft of a biography report. Fun....NOT!

We need to get this trip report back on topic like our moderator said. I am going to go back to the first post and put in a little notation for new readers in the hope that it will make it an easier read. That way, if they don't want to read any of our talking, they can skip over it.
Hopefully, I can get an installment posted today. Work is pretty busy today and I have some errands to run this afternoon.

Hope you all have a good day,

Lisa

Thank you,
it makes a TR a whole lot easier to navigate.

Just wanted to say that I have been reading your trip report and it is great. I haven't read each message but the report is awesome.

I pray that your mom and bil will continue to do well.

Jenseib - your daughter's pictures are beautiful

Mickey4ever - I love your Hello at your signature. How did you do that?

Can't wait to hear more soon! We just did a trip 9/12 -17 1st for my 9 yr old DS. Hubby couldn't go cause of work but we are hoping to do another trip next aug/sept for 10 days - finger crossed.

Howdy! Welcome about the crazy trip report. If you don't want to read all of our chatter, simply scroll down each page until you come to writing in bold bright blue. Those are the actual trip report installment.

Thanks so much for your prays for my family members. They are still recovering so they are appreciated.

Ten days is the perfect time in Disney. It gives you time to take Disney slowly and have a down day or two. I sure hope you get to go together as a family!

Now I've got that "in the tiki, tiki, tiki room" song in my head. That's okay, I sometimes have lots of voices in my head. At least these voices are Disney voices.:lmao:

Up next on our list of things to see in the Magic Kingdom was Pirates of the Caribbean. First, we had to make a stop for Lacey. She was in search of the cinnamon sugared covered almonds. It was on her list of things that she absolutely must have. While she was getting the almonds, I spotted Captain Hook and Mr. Smee. The line wasn't that long so I told John and Lacey that Hunter and I were going over to get in line too. They would meet us when they got the almonds.

We waited about 10 minutes or so and then it was Hunter's turn. Captain Hook signed Hunter's autograph book while Mr. Smee interacted with Hunter. Hunter had on a watch with the velcro strap. Mr. Smee pointed to it:

Captain Hook saw what was going on and then shook his head. Mr. Smee proceeded to take it off Hunter's wrist:

And put it on Captain Hook's hook:

Captain Hook continued to admire his new timepiece while Mr. Smee signed the autograph book:

Still wearing Hunter's watch, Mr. Hook and Mr. Smee turned Hunter around for an ARGH! picture:

And a smiling picture:

The castmember asked Captain Hook if he was going to give Hunter his watch back. Mr. Smee stood in front Mr. Hook as if he was protecting their newfound booty. The characters kept up the act for a little while and the crowd was laughing at their antics. Eventually, the agreed to give the watch back:

It was great character interaction. I love Disney!

Up next: Our pirate cruise!

***Sorry it's short but I am about to leave work. First, I have to run a document to the courthouse and file it.

Hunter is so cute in his interaction; you can see the giddiness even from the back side of his face!!! :upsidedow

can't wait for the cruise!!! :yay:
have a great day! Everyone!!!
:wave2:

Those pix are great Lisa. How funny the interaction. Made for such a fun time. I'm kinda amazed Lacey didn't jump in with some funny comment. It's so unlike her to keep quiet.

Thats so funny. We have yet to meet them. Claire is scared of them. I hope she grows out of the scared phase soon. I pulled out Hallowen decorations and she is afarid of some of them! UGH!

Awww! Love the pictures, Lisa! How cute was that???? :goodvibes And your sequence of pictures totally tell the story.

I saw Capt. Hook and Mr. Smee in March and wanted to stop, but my parents and sister just kept going. The line wasn't even that long. Oh, well! Those two were creating memories that Hunter will never forget. I LOVE IT!

I love the interaction with Capt Hook & Mr Smee! And mmMMMmmmm cinnamon almonds!!!

Just in case you guys didn't catch it in my reply to Ginny.....

TOMORROW IS BOSS' DAY! Stop at Wal-Mart on the way home if you've forgotten.

Mel, I know it'll be hard to find something for that ornery boss of your's but I am sure you can at least find a card. Maybe a sarcastic one. Change that. Make it all sweet and flowery. Kill 'em with kindness, I always say!

Lisa,
did you make him a pound cake?

I think your DD and my DS are close to the same age. He turned 3 in March and has now gotten into the "I'm Scared" stage. I'm hoping we won't have any issues with it at Disney World though this time, since he has never been scared of anything in the past. Halloween decorations are one of his things that scares him now, so good thing we won't be there at Halloween time.

Also wanted to say that I love your pictures.

She is almost 5. When she was 2 she seemed to have pretty much no fear. At 3 she was leary of some stuff, like she didn't like Haunted Mansion so much and was leary on Pirates. this past March she refused to go on Haunted Mansion, and was not happy about going on pirates. But she went on Dinosaur..but said she didn't like it all that much. I hope we are on the downside of that now. :sad2:

Captain Hook and Mr. Smee can be hillarious! We did the Grand Gatherings Fireworks Cruise, and they set you up at the Contemporary with goodies before hand. About halfway into the "goodies" time, those two characters came in and began interacting with us. Since there were only enough people there to fill the boat, we were able to really get some good time with them. At one point, I had to make my DD and DS back off and allow someone else to play! But later on, Captain Hook actually came and asked to play with DD's light-up toy (one of the kinds they sell in the parks that we recycle for each trip). He ended up running away with it, and we have video somewhere of Haley and Jack running after him, laughing the whole time. It was the best interaction we've ever had at WDW. It looks like you might have had the same two CMs!

Great updates (again!). Great character interactions make for awesome memories!

Oh - and Jenseib, both my older kiddos were very cautious around the characters around a certain age (4, for us). Haley's 8 now, and was well past it on last two trips, but Jack was just getting into it at age 4 this past fall. I'm sure your princess will get through it at some point!

Good morning Lisa! All caught up again! :thumbsup2

I love the Main Street pics..they take me back! There's nothing like that feeling of being on Main Street with all the sights, sounds, smells..... :cloud9:

I got dragged into the Tiki Room again this past trip....my boys just love those crazy birds. I could do without it, but I'm a good sport!

Cool pics from the SFRTH....I like the Space Mountain view the best!

Hunter's interaction with Smee and Hook....so fun! I love when the characters take the time to do things like that. Makes a great memory!

Oh....I would post a fall colors pic for you, but most of our prettiest trees are past their peak. It's been REALLY cold here so we are a little ahead of schedule as far as the colors and leaves go. We are supposed to have temps in the low 60s this time of year, but it hasn't been out of the 40s all week. YIKES! If I can find a pretty tree to photograph, I'll post a picture for you!

Digital watch. No ticking! That would have been very valuable to the Captain.

Aww, love the story about Hook and Smee. What a great experience.

Hey, I haven't forgotten you I swear. I have just been ummmmmmmm fighting with pigs :lmao:. Sorry I haven't posted here in so long. I just finished with page 94 and I had to say it is almost like my day I just posted. I have almost the same picture of the castle posted and I talked about the very kiosk Lacey and Hunter are standing at..........LOL.

Thank you so much for remembering Dallas and me in your prayers while we were sick. I just read about your family and I will keep them in mine.

OK, I got more to catch up on :surfweb:.

All caught up again! The luau looked fun. We've never done any of the dinner shows but we have Hoop Dee Doo booked for next month's trip. :goodvibes
Enjoying the report and looking forward to more!

Great pictures of Hunter w/ Captain Hook and Mr. Smee!! Love the interaction between them!! :goodvibes I'm so hoping that we see them next time, the boys love those characters and they look like they are soooo much fun!!!:thumbsup2
