You Know You're Excited About Your Upcoming Trip To Disneyland When...

thought of another one...........

.....when you actually WANT to exercise to build up your stamina for your upcoming Disney trip! :lmao:

Yes, I was just thinking of this today! First I need to clear off all the stuff that has been collecting on the treadmill...;)

For me, it's when I have Disney CDs in full rotation in my car stereo!!

The worst of it is that not all of them are songs - my current favorite is the Disney's Electrical Parade CD!!

Other than music, I'm planning my wardrobe months in advance and I give the trip more thought than my classes. Right now I should be writing a paper. Oh so bad! ;)

...you are prompted to change your computer password and you come up with something that includes "dolewhip".

When you have to go to Disboards just to check out your Disney ticker to see how many days to go.

I just turned my "view signatures" back on a little while ago so I could see it! And I'm probably saying this so I can check it again! (I had that turned off because it's supposed to make the pages load faster?). A few weeks until WDW, but another 2 1/2 months until a nostalgic return to DLR (haven't been back in 20+ years [first trip was 1957]) -- need to set up a ticker for that trip.

... you have a note pad in front of you to write down reminders of things other disers have mentioned so you dont forget.:lmao:

...you are sad that you have your itinerary done and keep going over it just to make sure it's perfect, and you get your family to go on "training for Disney" walks after dinner:rotfl:

Oh, yeah!!!!! :rotfl2:

Unfortunately, I tend to dash out notes on whatever paper (or paper-like) thing is near the computer and then I have this mess of scribbles and have trouble finding what I need later

... when you are at work reading the Dis Boards, and have to remind yourself you are at work, don't get caught and do some work!!! :rotfl2:

......when you watch You Tube Disney Sing Along Videos .... with your 18 month old baby- just to help him get more familiar with the characters!

........when you buy the baby disney bath toys of all the characters, including all the princess's.... even when he is a boy:rolleyes1

...... and when you know exactly what everyone will be wearing at all times for everyday at the park, months in advanced.

......and when you have changed your hotel choice 20 times!

:rotfl2:

you all are so funny.

We leave on Thursday, it is a 3 hours drive for us, and I am all packed. I just finished up last night. THat is a first for me!

--I get on Vons.com to see just how much you can get for $50 to get the free delivery
--you redo you spreadsheet every day to make sure you haven't missed
critical churo and Dole Whip time
--you go to the Disney website calendar and put in your dates (knowing you are too far out for the info to be posted) just to see one more day has been added.

I have a new one as of today!

You know you're excited about your upcoming trip to Disneyland when you decide it's time to upgrade your cell phone because your 2 years is up and you can get a new phone that will let you communicate with the Dis while in the park next week and download cool apps and stuff like that, even though you're a technological dinosaur and have never been interested in such things before :upsidedow

...the POTC ride soundtrack CD gets played daily in your car.

...you absentmindedly arrange the food on your children's plates in hidden-Mickey formation.

...you use DH's very rare DL questions (that sometimes inadvertently occur between The Eye Roll and The Big Sigh) as an excuse to spend hours "looking up answers" on the DISboards.

... the dreams you remember are centered around your upcoming December trip to WDW and your upcoming January trip to DLR.

... you have a dream about being trapped on the ferris wheel at DCA

... you have a dream on a weekly basis about riding the Peter Pan ride

... you have a dream about walking down main street pushing small children over (I'm not kidding...) to get to the Disneyland version of Space Mountain

I'm glad this happens to other people. Two that I remember are

...we're there with the in-laws and waiting in the hotel for everyone to get ready, me and my son can see the parks on the TV and we see the opening ceremony, rides, parades, shows, basically that we're missing everything and the in-laws won't hurry up and get ready (this is reflective of our actual trip with in-laws in 06):scared1:

...I'm there with my parents and they get tired and go back to the hotel and take my son with them, I am alone and free in the park, I'm wandering around and can do anything I want to do, it's awesome:rotfl:

Plus a question, how do you get the countdown ticker? I only have a few months left and would love to watch it tick by.

Click on my ticker and it will take you to the website and you can make your own. Then, after you have made yours - copy the code and come back to your User CP and paste it in your signature - super easy.

. . . you play Disney music so often that your 20 month old requests that you sing "Coo L" and "You Who" (Cruella Devil and Yo Ho A Pirates Life for Me) as bedtime songs.
