It's been a couple of weeks (OK over 3 weeks) since we got back for our magical trip to Walt Disney World. I finally got all the pictures together and am relived to finally be able to start our TR.

Since I am starting a new thread I thought I would briefly introduce our cast of characters to those new to our story.

My eldest son Liam (7)was diagnosed with cystic fibrosis almost a year ago now and was giving the oppertunity to make a wish through the Make a Wish Fondation. His wish was to go Walt Disney World where he has been talking no stop since to go on the Star Tours ride. He has a 4 year old sister who loves princesses, and a 2 year old brother who is a huge Mickey Mouse fan. To finish up our cast is my brother and myself. It was all of our first times to Walt Disney World.

Now that you know who we are, let me start with our Trip Report. I woke up at 4:15 in the morning so that I could start my sons breathing treatment before our Limo arrived at 5:15am. I than proceded to go on to the computer to check out what the weather was going to be like for our week in florida. I was quite worried that it said high eighties and low ninties with thunderstorms all week.:scared1:

I had put aside everyone's outfit the night before, so getting ready was pretty painless. We were completly ready to go at 5:15, but there was no Limo. After a couple of minutes of waiting I finally called to find out that the Limo driver was lost and we had to give him directions on how to get to the house. At 5:35 the Limo finally arrived and we were on our way to one of the most magically weeks of our lives.

The airport was pretty uneventful except for when some workers noticed out Wish Trip t-shirts and moved us to a luggage line with no wait.:worship:The other line would have taken us at least 20 minutes to get through. And as many of you know a long line with three tierd children can be hell.:rotfl:

Will write more tomarrow. Really tierd. Need some sleep.

Ooooohhh...I can't wait to hear more. (I'm dreading the airport lines too-the kids will NOT be happy at 5 in the morning here either ;) .)
Get some sleep and get ready for all the picture requests!

Yeah! I am so glad you have now started your trip report! I can't wait to hear how the rest of the trip went besides MNSSHP!

Woo Hoo! Another Wish Trip Report! :)

I won't put popcorn on here...since I have yet to update mine either. :rolleyes1

Sorry that it has been a couple of days. I have been feeling pretty ill and tired these last couple of days and then yesterday when I got home from a Dr appointment I was just in time to see my youngest son crying. He had hit his head on the bookshelf and cut his head open. A trip to the hospital and 2 long hours later, he was given 5 stiches to close the 1 inch gash in his forhead. It is amazing how a little boy could get stiches on second and be running around playing the next.:rotfl: Everybody seems to be duing fine today so back to our story.

We arrived in Florida at about 11:45. When I looked out the window everything was sunny and beautiful. I was so excited about starting our adventure. We walked to main terminal to see two volenteers holding up a sign with Liam's name on it (took a picture but unfortunatly it was lost :guilty:) We than started heading to bagage claim and to get our rental car. It was than that I noticed that it was pouring rain outside. That quick.

We had no trouble finding Give Kids The World. The sign seemed to make everygthing real and brought tears to my eyes.

We than meet Richard who gave us our welcome packet and gave Liam a Mickey Mouse Doll and little Shamus to his siblings. Liam did a very sweet thing at that moment, knowing that Aidan loves Mickey Mouse gave it to his little brother. I don't think I was ever prouder of my son. Ah, the little things. . .

Richard was going to show us our Villa, but when he relized that we were hungry sent us to Katie's Kitchen for lunch. We ate our meal in the ice cream parlor because it was still wet outside from the rain. The food was delicous and soon we were all very full and ready to see our villa.

Our villa was number 238 in the new section of the village. Our front door was literally across from Matthew's Boundless Playground in a section of the village which was very enchanting.

Richard showed us around our villa and I instantly feel in love. It felt truely like a home away from home instead of a place we were just going to sleep for the next week. There was a bag full of goodies for us on the table and the fridge was stocked with soda, water, milk, and a pound cake.

After Richard showed us around he offered to drive me back to the house of hearts for the 3 o'clock orientation. On the way back he showed me a little more of the village plus a few short cuts to get from the Villa to the main area of the village. Short cuts that we used time and time agian during our stay at the village.

Stacy was our orientation person. She was funny and informative. Most of the information I learned from talking to people on here, but still very good information. I kind of smiled to my self when they told me that the GAC couldn't get you to the front of the line for Character Meets because I knew better.:thumbsup2

So excited to hear more!!! Im subscribed! How awesome that you got to be across from the playground. I love love love the new villas!!! :lovestruc

I'm subbed! I'm so proud of Liam...giving his Mickey to his little brother....how sweet! I'm also glad you guys had such a great time and I can't wait to see more of the pictures and hear more about all the things everyone enjoyed. popcorn::

I am glad you finally were able to start your report. I hope you start feeling better soon! I remember those days. Tyler is off school today and he and Hayley are loving your family picture. Tyler remembers you guys! The village looks so nice and welcoming! :wizard:

Wow! Looks like you guys got a great orientation to the GKTW area! How awesome is THAT!! :)

I am so glad that our folks know about the character lines...but gosh I wish they would tell all of the wish kids!

Can't wait for more!! :)

So after orientation I walked back to the villa and saw a something that caught my attention. There was a raccoon that seemed to sun bathing on someones driveway. After reading so many reports and having some sort of animal interaction in many of them I thought that this was mine. Little did I know that this raccoon wasn't done with me yet.

When I got back to the villa I started unpacking for our week. I feel quite clever on the way that I put everything away. I put the outfits for the last day on the bottom of the drawers and worked my way backward until I got to the first day were to spend at the parks. That way I could just grab the outfit off the top and be on our way. It worked out great and I would definatly recommend it.

We were than on our way to the castle of miracles.

First we headed over to the pillow area and decided to get the kids pillows. The girl running the area was very cute. She went behind the black curtain and was talking to the "chicken's" making our pillows. It was a little hard getting my inquisative son from peaking behind the curtain to see what was going on. All the kids loved it when the chicken dance music started playing. Aidan's favorite part was when the bubbles started coming out of the machine.

After we were done with our pillows, we headed to the other side of the castle to do our star. It was very enchanting how the fairy flew from screen to screen to bring the star to the ceiling.

We than decided to stay in the castle for a little bit and play with the toys everywhere.
