After the parking up of G-VAST (Ladybird),

G-VROM Barbarella is going for long term lease (18 months) to Aerosur of Bolivia, from November 2009.

Bye bye Babs.

makes the gatwick/Manchester/Glasgo fleet six aircraft.......

we flew ladybird last month and I said goodbye!

Shame as it had oddessy instead of the awful nova system

Obi, do you think Virgin might start merging flights? I'm flying next May and both flights are looking very quiet at the moment, compared to the same time last year for May 2009 flights.

they struggle with the lgw fleet if some go belly up so im suprised they sent one away. why do they do this? if there is a tech prob is there spare aircraft floating at heathrow?

I have heard that the LHR San Fran route is soon to be an airbus so that would free up a LHR 747.

Claire ;)

they, along with other airlines, have reduced routes and have paired down a couple of A320's as well, so they will have capacity.
The removal of aircraft is in line with the planned introduction of new aircraft into the fleet over the next few years.

I'd be all for them merging flights on the 28th November :lmao:
Wish id booked the earlier flight now but it was £120 a couple cheaper to do the late flight :lmao:
