The get free days plan is back!

For anyone who hasn't heard, Disney has released the buy 4 get 3 free plan again! I just got off the phone with Disney reservations calculating what would work for us, but I'm not sure I'm 100% convinced either way. It seems the buy 4 plan is only for moderate resorts and up; we'd have to buy 5 in order to get any discounts at Pop.

I'm so bummed about that too; I guess it's really only a bargain if you get no other pin codes or packages or if you're staying at a Deluxe resort. (I wish!)

Yeah, I just couldn't qualify if this time around, especially since we've already been to the parks twice this year. Free dining it is!

Woohoo! I just got off the phone with my husband and we're going to see the new Celebration Disney On Ice tonight! The company he works for is a sponsor for our local hockey team which is of course where the show is; they give out free tickets each time it comes to town. He wrangled up some so we can surprise the girls! This PTR is just surprise central, isn't it?!

It's a great omen... we went to Disney On Ice last year just before our trip as well; we had so much fun! I've got a ton to do before now and tonight but I'll post pictures from the show as soon as I can!

Okay, first things first.

I'm going to Glastonbury in 2010!​

I realize not everyone is into music festivals so for the uninitiated, I offer you information on Glasto here and here.

Glasto is the largest music festival in the world, and tickets sold out in less than 24 hours. A group of friends and I are getting together where we'll sleep in a tipi or a yurt or a tent or whatever we end up renting for four days of the biggest music acts on the planet. Next year is the 40th anniversary of the festival so even thought the acts haven't been announced yet there's no doubt it will be phenomenal!

And now onto Friday's foray into Disney On Ice: Celebrations!

It was a blast, and I loved seeing the Villains on the ice. Also, they introduced Tiana from the new Princess and the Frog movie, and the girl has plenty of Southern charm.

That being said, you'll find that my pictures are infrequent and stop at intermission; Anastasia was MISERABLE through most of the show. She hated the loud music, the screaming of the crowd, everything. When the lights came up for intermission she was fully in tears, hands clamped over her ears. We bailed and enjoyed cotton candy in the car on the way home. Jose asked a rhetorical question of "Didn't we all enjoy Disney on Ice!" to which Stasia emphatically replied, "NO!"

I guess she'll stick to Disney World.

First up was a celebration of birthday parties... Or UNbirthday parties as it were.

Mickey didn't have a hat so he 'borrowed' the Mad Hatters

And they played a game of musical chairs. It came down to Mickey and Donald, and they had a slow motion Chariots of Fire style race.

Mickey stayed behind to clean up

And look what happened!

Then the scenery began to change for...

Halloween!

Mickey asked Jack Skellington to help him throw a party.

And then the guests began to show up!

The witch tried to give mickey an apple and he asked the kids if he should accept it. It was a good way to discuss trick or treat candy and such!

The villains got out of control until some ghosts showed up and scared them away

Jose holding both girls... That's Stasia curled up on him. Lexi was on his other knee clapping and enjoying herself... go figure!

Then Minnie came out and began what was a Valentine's Day celebration of love...

She wished she could be a princess and so she was granted her wish by the Fairy Godmother

And Stasia's thrill to just be outside where it was peaceful again

But by the next morning? Pure joy, all around.

It's posh woodstock; some of the yurts are fully furnished and go for more than a thousand pounds a night! Wowza.
