===========

Boys are off to work and school. My girlfriend is coming (from New Jersey!) about 11:30 or so to take me to my appointment. THe eyes are kind of weird now. It's just the bottom part of my eyes that seem to be blurry now. Kind of like having a line of vasaline in your line of vision. Make sense? I don't think he will release me to go back to work since I don't think I can drive yet. My depth preception is still a bit off too, but Jim seems to think thats becasue of the drops:confused3 Oh well, we'll see what he says.

Have a great day everyone:goodvibes

Mel:banana:

Well, I jumped the gun.

Gus was getting off the bus at school and slipped and fell DOWN the stairs, off the bus! Ouch.

He's home now. Poor thing. Wrenched his back.

Mel

Good morning :goodvibes:goodvibes

Mel: Ouchie about Gus :hug:

Janet: Good luck (though I don't know what for, but Mel wished you luck so i will too)

I am home with sick babies today. So I may actually get to catch up on laundry and dissin.

Who is going to be in Orlando October 15-18? We are going to US.

What, is it going all the way down to 90 ???
:lmao::rotfl2::rotfl: Better... a high of only 84!!! :woohoo: It's been in the high-90s for so long, I can't even imagine what 84 might feel like. :rolleyes: The best part, though, is the 0-10% rain chances all week. :thumbsup2

Tomorrow I see the eye specialist again, but I have a feeling he's not going to release me to go back to work yet. Keep your fingers crossed for me!
You've got it! :hug:

We had so much fun at the game yesterday, sorry V. ;) The seats were amazing and so were the Giants.
No worries - I'm DONE with teh stupid Bucs. :mad: :rotfl: Glad it was fun - I looked for you before I gave up and turned the channel!

Morning! Well, it turns out all that nausea was leading to yet another migraine. I really think my thyroid medicine is to blame; I hadn't had a migraine for years until I went on it. :headache: Better today, though. :thumbsup2

:hug::hug::hug: If it's still bothering you, either pick up Bonine/non-drowsy dramamine at the drug store (what my neuro recommends for migraine dizziness), or try ginger candy/drink (I buy that stuff by the case).

Thnks for all the well wishes !! :hug: I have a very busy week at work so little chance to rest!! :scared1:I am taking my meds so I will be okay !! I have taken next Tuesday OFF and am keeping it a secret so I can actually rest and do what I want to do !!:banana: Phil has my memory card so hopefully my pix will be loaded today and I also or should I say we edited the photopas pix for the share !! :banana:We had a lot f fun doing it !!! The temp this morning was 46. Fall is HERE.

Mel:banana:
If he'd stay away from her, she'd be okay. ;)

Nothing like having a man sick at home to make a day seem twice as long. :sad2:

Well, I jumped the gun.

Gus was getting off the bus at school and slipped and fell DOWN the stairs, off the bus! Ouch.

He's home now. Poor thing. Wrenched his back.

Mel
Give him head scratches for me. Poor little man... :guilty:

I am home with sick babies today. So I may actually get to catch up on laundry and dissin.
I hope your babies feel better soon. I just sat all my kids down and talked to them about washing their hands and coughing into their sleeves. :scared1:
One of C's two teacher's is in the hospital with the H1N1 virus. They expect her to be out at least 3 more weeks. She was out last week too. :guilty: She's recovering from cancer, so I'm sure her body's just not as strong as a healthy person's.

Migraines are the worst. I was just prescribed Topamax before the trip, but I took it once and felt crazy dizzy and loopy. I'm going to slowly start taking it at night, I think. :sad2:
Feel better. :hug:

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
It's a cool, rainy day here. :cloud9: It's so fall-like. It makes me happy. I pulled out the Halloween decorations the other night so I can get those set out. We're going to invite a few families over for a party this year. :woohoo: I scrapped really cute invites that I need to hand out.
I have to share that this transition into public school was really, really hard on our family the last 5 weeks. The kids had to adjust to their new lives and the expectations that the teachers had for them. That was hard enough, but with my guilt over stopping homeschooling and hormones being off, it was just a bad few weeks. :sad1:
While we were gone, my mom didn't do a very good job with them and I was so mad that I have worked so hard to get them going and on the right path just for her to mess it up while I was gone. She didn't sign behavior charts, or homework books. She took the kids word that they didn't have homework (Hell-o? :headache:), and was late to pick B up. Poor B was worried and ended up calling me to aks where my mom was. They ate almost every meal at fast food :sick: and were put under a lot of stress by her not doing what they needed her to do. I loved meeting my firends, but I don't know that I'll go on a trip alone with my hunny again until the kids are older. :sad2:
Things are finally looking good and everyone seems to be doing well now in school. I looked at B's grades on-line last night and her lowest average is an 85! I'm so proud of her. She has stayed up late, and gotten up early, gone for tutoring to help improve her grades and to help her "get it" . She never once complained. I'm so pleased with her. :lovestruc
C and A are gettng the hang of things too. They did a great job getting their homework done last night without complaining. :cheer2:
Life is good... :cloud9:
:yay:Yay! I'm glad you're back! I enjoyed chatting with you and Emma so much. :cloud9:
Does Emma sound like Mary Poppins too!;)
That's the one thing I have to say about Jim. He does not complain when he is sick!
I hope your babies feel better soon. I just sat all my kids down and talked to them about washing their hands and coughing into their sleeves. :scared1:
I don't put out our decorations until a week or so before Halloween. That's becasue I do more of a fall theme than a Halloween them and they stay up until the day after Thanksgiving. WE put the CHristmas decorations up then!:thumbsup2
UGH! So sorry about this Dawn. However, it makes me remember why I would NEVER let my IL's watch Jimmy for an extended period of time. :hug::hug:
===================================
So I am dressed and ready to go to the doctor. My girlfriend will get here about 11:30 or so to take me. AFterwards she is going to take me to the grocery store. Poor Jimmy had no milk this morning:sad2:
Has any one seen Cloudy with a CHance of Meatballs yet? We are thinking of going to see it this weekend. But can't decide between that and the Toy Story Double feature in 3-D.
We picked Jimmy up and he asked if he could ride his bike for a while. We opened the garage door and the skies opened up:mad:
I know – it was like a swimming pool was just dumped, wasn’t it? Of course, as soon as I pulled into my driveway, it stopped :headache:
Denise - Love the quilts! :thumbsup2 Mom used to quilt all the time before she got diagnosed with MS.
Thanks! Did she really? I’m so sorry about her MS – I hope she is doing okay. My FIL had MS, although he managed it very well and really had a good quality of life – I hope your mom will continue to also.
Beautiful! :thumbsup2 My grandmother made us a quilt for our wedding too. It's a very special gift.
Thanks! Yes, they are made with love.:love:
love 'em!!! I made a few quilts by hand when I was on bed rest. I tried my best to use a machine but I'm just not meant to operate one. :guilty:
Thanks! LOLOL – I have sewed my finger a time or two :scared1:
Gorgeous!
Thanks!!
I’m sure it will take a bit for all of you to settle in – it’s a big change, but I bet they’ll all do just fine! :thumbsup2
While we were gone, my mom didn't do a very good job with them
Well, THAT doesn’t help!:sad2:
You’re lucky!:laughing:
Good luck!
Haven’t seen the movie yet but it was my favorite book to read to Ariel when she was little. She still has it and really wants to see the movie. I may take her and DGS Rick on Sunday.
HI Fockers
Sorry I don't think I have been on since I went back to work. But I found you and the new thread!
First week back was CRAZY!
Saturday I went over to Murph's, Sunday I was at the Jet game (in the rain:headache:)
I actually was off yesterday and got busy with stuff in the morning and then started getting sick. I'm full blown with chills and body aches now. I had back to back meetings most of the day today so I am working from home and just calling into them and monitoring emails. My next meeting was just canceled so I'm free until 2pm.
Dawn - glad the kids are adjusting, but too bad about not being able to have family watch them:hug:
Janet - good luck, fingers, toes and paws crossed:hug:
V - saw the post about Leo:hug: and for you not feeling well:hug:
Jo - welcome back
T - did I see she was staying in a value???:eek: I guess never say never...
Rosie - take care of yourself, slow down so you can get better
Angela - sounds like you guys had fun in Tampa, can you believe both NY teams are 3-0?
Ed - how are you?
Mel - :hug: to Gus
Welcome to the newbies! I'm Mo, GASP 43 yo, no human kids, 2 fur kids, I pop in and out when time permits.
Hey, everyone...
Sounds like we've got a bunch of sick folk - take care and feel better, everyone!
Janet, how did the appointment go?
Welcome back, Jo! :)
Dawn, I'm sorry it has been so tough :hug: but it sounds like you're on the right track. :hug:
Not much up here. I went to the grocery and the library this morning, and that's been about it - done some minor cleaning and so forth, but mostly vegging. The boys have tennis later, so I'll work out then, after an eyebrow wax. ;)
I'm now having a Book Fair meeting here with my co-chair tomorrow, so I definitely need to keep doing the minor cleaning. :rolleyes1 :rotfl: We got a bunch of info from the former chairs, so it's a good meeting, but...
I hope everyone's having a good afternoon! :goodvibes
Hi Peeps! :wave2:
I must be getting old as I know I've been reading along, but can't remember if I posted??!! :confused:
Jo - Welcome back!
Rosie - Take care!
Denise - Pretty quilt! What a thoughtful gift.
Mel - Ouchie! Poor Gus!
Dawn - I'm a little freaked out now leaving the kids with my parents. :eek:
V - Hola!
Janet - You've inspired me to organize Evan's room. Did that this morning. :thumbsup2
Mo - A girls gotta do what a girls gotta do. ;)
Jeeze, who did I forget??!! :flower3: Hi Heather, Deb, CE..... :wave:
Gotta run... I have 4 minutes to get Evan!!!! :upsidedow
Jo: Nice seeing you again, too! Glad you made it home safely.
It was good to see you too!
THere is no time for sleeping...we need details!
:rotfl2: I slept for a few hours, I will say it was very busy, got lots of goodies, several late nights and got very very very wet at EE5K! Is that enough? :rotfl2:
Gus was getting off the bus at school and slipped and fell DOWN the stairs, off the bus! Ouch.
He's home now. Poor thing. Wrenched his back.
Oh no, hope he's OK!
I am home with sick babies today. So I may actually get to catch up on laundry and dissin.
Does Emma sound like Mary Poppins too!;)
:rotfl2: Good luck at the Opticians!
Wow, that was quick, seems like you just left! Can’t wait to hear all about it when you’re all rested up!popcorn::
It was quick, only 4 nights, lots of fun though!
Not you too? Get well :hug:
Welcome back, Jo! :)
Thanks sweetie :hug:
Jo - Welcome back!
Thanks :goodvibes
I managed a few hours sleep, actually got in my pj's and into bed :rotfl2: I'm still suffering though. Not sure if I'll do a TR or not but lots of my Mom friends have tagged me in their photos so you may be able to see them on my FB page :thumbsup2
How's Kat????
Well, I jumped the gun.
Gus was getting off the bus at school and slipped and fell DOWN the stairs, off the bus! Ouch.
Mel
Same thing happened to DS12 last week. I was afraid some bully pushed him.
Thanks! LOLOL – I have sewed my finger a time or two :scared1:
I don't believe I ever got to the actual sewing part. I could never get the darn thing threaded without creating a big knotted mess. :rolleyes:
I know – it was like a swimming pool was just dumped, wasn’t it? Of course, as soon as I pulled into my driveway, it stopped :headache:
-------------------------
Well, I am out of work until November 2nd:headache: Things are improved, but as fast as he wants so I got the Mel treatment. He stuck a needle full of steroids in my eye. He felt the topical treatment should have worked faster than it has been and he hopes this will speed things up. Mel...I can really commisserate with now honey:hug:
He only did the left eye becasue a) the right is really good and b) he wants to be able to measure one against the other. He does say that I should be able to drive soon though:yay:
Thanks for all the prayers and crossed appendages!
Waiting for Jim and Jimmy to get home. Having spaghetti and meatballs for dinner tonight, so that's an easy thing. I will start cooking when they get home.
I forgot to tell you all that the doctor changes Jimmy's ADHD medication to Vyvanse. IT is basically the same medication, just a longer acting medication. We started it this weekend, but today will be the real test since it is first day at school with it. We will see how things go!
Aw, man. I'm glad things are improving, but no more Fockers should have to get eye shots! I'll keep sending good thoughts for driving - it will help you not be quite so bored. :goodvibes
Hope Jimmy's day went well. :hug:
*****************************************************
The boys had fun at tennis and I did a nice workout, so that's good. Woody's showered and is now doing homework - Buzz is currently in the shower and will have to do the homework when he gets done. Then we'll have to do our "math triangles" - which I am cranky about because I have to be involved. :rotfl:Just kidding, but it is kind of funny how finding 6 minutes to sit still becomes hard at this time of the night.
I did my workout, but now feel wheezy, so I don't think my cold is cured yet. :headache:
I'll likely check back later, as I'm on my own all week. ;)
