Maybe she can assign someone to do this said website for her. LOL!

Wow! PJ....would love if you could do this for us.

Angie if they let me, I will for sure. I tried the same with the TA, but it didn't equate to any savings. Angie, send me an e-mail with your reservation # and I will see what the on board agent can do for you.

For anyone concerned because we are going so late in the summer and the weather is warmer, I just read this post from someone who went on Princess to Alaska in July.

One important thing I learned when we were most recently up and listening to the naturalist on board is that the salmon run in July and August. That means that the wildlife is SUPER active during those months. We saw TONS of whales and even a wild orca on our last trip. It was amazing!

Lisa, I think this is the perfect time to cruise Alaska.:thumbsup2:goodvibes:woohoo:

Angie...of COURSE it is...we will be there. :thumbsup2

PJ true it depends on if the ships have filled up since you originally booked. The increased plat OBC might make a difference this time.

Someone else that I know too told me the prime time is mid- July through August. For those that are going immediately following the CA repo, I have heard it can rain all day in May.

I would not even consider May or early June. Way too cold for vacation. There will be enough cold here in MT during the winter, no need to extend it into June! :sad2:

:wave2:

Guess I'm the first of the Silver CC'ers to join in. :flower3:

I've just booked for DH (40), DD (9) and me (38) - all ages are at time of cruise. We'll be in a Cat. 5B Aft. :goodvibes

As we're from Scotland, we're used to the cold, so the weather isn't too much of a concern for us. :rotfl2: Visiting Alaska has always been on the "must see" list for us and now that we can combine that with Disney, well :cloud9:!!!

Welcome aboard!

I can't believe only ONE new passenger today?

Welcome aboard! I can't believe none of the prices for any of the cruises increased today. After the past 2 years that was refreshing but it would have been nice to get that benefit back then for the PC & TA.

The cruises probably are not selling fast enough to raise the prices because there are so many to choose from. There is PC, several Alaska, several Mexican Riviera this time. This is better than all of us scrambling to get on one or two cruises. :thumbsup2

Hi everyone...remember me :goodvibes I switched my ressi over to July 19th and the thread is off and running. WE are a bunch of chatter boxs over there:lmao:

I will be sailing a week before you so as you are heading out I will be heading home. We are going to do a week in Canada before the cruise if we can get a good rate with our DVC points with Intrawest.

I cant believe the price for plane flight from San Diego  its more than if we flew out from New Jersey.:confused3 longer lay overs also....go figure...we are looking at about $500-$550 a person...that's like a lot for 5 persons, not to mention taking 6 hrs for what should be a one way for 2.5 hrs....UGH

Anyway wanted to stop in and say Hi and since we are so close together I will stop in from time to time and scoop out what info you all came up with. Stop by over at our meet also and check out page 1...I will be posting all kinds of info on there also...like cheep plane flights:lmao:

Happy cruising and chat soon:thumbsup2

We will miss meeting you. Perhaps another cruise. Have you thought of flying into Seattle?

Angie, the PC repo didn't go up until after 9 am though. That thing was going up in price every 30 minutes 2 1/2 years ago while we sat on hold. That is the one that amazed me. It did go up tonight for 4 people...but not 3. :confused3

Looks like you could take a fun trip on Amtrak from Seattle to Vancouver, BC for about $70 per person.

It is much cheaper to fly into Seattle. I got a price of $105 for the 4 of us to take Amtrak to Vancouver from Seattle one way. :thumbsup2
