As for me, today I am resting, taking it easy ie. being lazy because well I took a fall yesterday. I posted about it on my PTR, today I am laughing about it but my knee is still throbbing, my wrist hurts, and I am sore all over. I feel like a total idiot. I might work on some trip stuff and do an update, I don't know.

Oh, no! Feel better - and can I say I'm glad I'm not the only person who has things like that happen?

Oh, no! Feel better - and can I say I'm glad I'm not the only person who has things like that happen?

Thank you, I am just sore. I don't think I did any real damage. I posted this on Facebook and my TR yesterday, thought I would share the giggle here, you have to remember I am what DISers call "pooh sized":

Too much bathroom floor cleaner + Tracy's shoes = Tracy go boom.

I thought I wasn't going to get up, I was thinking "oh great, Bill's parents will be here in 4 hours and find me stuck between the toliet and the door" great impression right? Oh and they might bring Bill's grandma too. "Hi Grandma, excuse me for being in a half split with my left leg bent behind me with my foot lodged outside the bathroom door". I scared poor Acey to death. He came to check on me, (he has been following me constantly today, I swear he is worried about me).

Oh and even better after I pried myself from that position I found out how badly I had scared Ace, one little turd by the balcony door, LMAO. Got to laugh because I know later I will be HURTING.

Just thought I would share how STOOPID I am!! IP DIP!!

Ace is our Jack Russell/Rat Terrier all skittish dog. He was a mess yesterday following me around then we had a thunderstorm and it sent him into a shaking mess :sad2:.

Oh well today is another day, football is on which makes Bill happy :thumbsup2, I have Disney things to think about which makes me happy :cloud9:, and Ace is sleeping on the couch so he is back to normal :lmao:.

I eagerly await the changes. :rotfl: Seriously, sounds fun no matter what. Have a great time at DLR today! :thumbsup2
Ah, you know me so well! ;) Well, no DLR today as the kids have decided today should be a Pajama day! :faint: I swear, they're killing me!

Do any of you crafty people have a recommendation on a sewing machine for me? I just need to do stuff like hemming and small projects. I have my grandma's circa 1970 machine, but it's built into a table and weighs (truly) 200 pounds, and so it has to be in the basement. I can't get it to work right now - my mom had it repaired a couple of times, but it's old and complicated, and even if it's just me not knowing what I am doing, it's unusable.

She wants to buy me a sewing machine for Christmas, but T's talk of Halloween costumes reminded me that I might be in for making Buzz's this year, and if so, I'll either ask Mom to pre-gift me, or get it myself and she can do something else. I'm not looking for a lot, but it would be great if it a) worked; and b) could be used in the dining room or kitchen or whatever.
I have an older model that I just use for hems, etc. I'm not crafy enough to sew, although I've considered taking a class or two.
Sorry, I'm no help.

T. I wanted to stay at the POP on our adults only trip last Oct. Steve didnt want to have anything to do with it! :sad2: I think it looks like fun! :cheer2:
Where did you end up staying? Would you believe POP was Andy's idea? :confused3

As for Pop Century :hippie:, Bill and I will be there in 37 days, it will be our 4th time staying there. We love the background music, the huge icons, the friendly CM's and the busses. It is far from a Deluxe, but it suits our needs, a place to lay our heads inbetween being at the parks all day long :thumbsup2. We can also stay longer and spend more money while we are there which makes me happy  .
Oh good, now I have someone to give me all the tips and tricks on room location, etc. :thumbsup2

Since it's just the 2 of us, I think we'll be fine, but there's no way I could do it for long periods of time with the 4 of us, though. We were in a studio in August and were practically on top of each other. :headache:

Oh no! I know I've taken a spill or 2 or 3 or 6 ;) and always feel the worse 2 or 3 days later. Take care of yourself!

Hi I'm Daisy12, and I'm Mrs.T-i-double-g-er's and Mr. T-i-double-g-err's daugher.:wave2:

PS- I (T-i-dougle-g-err) am here with her at the moment. I'm sorry I haven't been around much. I've managed to pop into FB every now and again, but I've been pretty slammed at the office. TTFN!:thumbsup2

TE,

I think Jamaica has been dropped from your cruise.

Hi all,

Just a drive-by to sub to the new thread so that I can find y'all when I come up for breadth from work. I'll have to get back on a bit more often to keep at least one eye on DD12 as she starts kicking around the DIS...

I followed the bread crumbs over! :rotfl2: thanks V!

I'm Denise and am kinda new here! Just wanted to say Hi :wave2:

We're going to watch the first Harry Potter movie (I insisted we read the books first, but we've read the first two now) when they get back.

Love the Harry Potter movies, but couldn't really get into the books. Although I am definitely going to read the last one before the movie comes out (I'm scared I'll find out the ending before I finish!)

Looks like we'll be heading to WDW in January for an adults only trip. We cancelled our Mexican cruise for next month *coughcoughSWINEFLUcoughcough*, so we thought a trip to WDW is just the ticket.

You've got that right! :thumbsup2

Here's the thing ... we're staying at ... wait for it ... wait for it ... POP CENTURY! :faint: You all know what a resort snob I am, but since it's just me and Andy, I can't see using points (also because I'm fresh out ;)) and I can't see spending money on the Poly. Well, unless a great code comes out or a incredible AP rates pops up. :teeth:

Seems like there's never enough points doesn't it  Will be interested in your opinion!

We're back. It was a nice trip.

I'm glad we have a trip coming up in 6 months. :cutie: I had been thinking about moving it to October so we could do the Halloween stuff, but I think I'm going to keep it in March. I'm even going to try and stash away money for the next few months so I can add on a cruise while the kids can go free. :yay:

So glad you had a nice trip! It's probably a good thing to wait until March - if you do it in October, it'll be here and gone before you know it! :thumbsup2 to the cruise - they're awesome!

Do any of you crafty people have a recommendation on a sewing machine for me?

Sure do! Sounds like you're not looking for a ton of bells and whistles, which certainly keeps the price down. The Janomes are great - I love my Janome Memorycraft 6600, but the Janomes Jems are great little machines and much less $$. My favorite is my Bernina though, they are quite a bit pricier than other brands, but their Bernettes are a good small machine.

but I always imagine that I'd feel guilty doing WDW without the kids.

I feel guilty, but do it anyway :lmao::lmao::lmao: (but then my kids are grown - somewhat ;) )

As for me, today I am resting, taking it easy ie. being lazy because well I took a fall yesterday.

Thank you, I am just sore. I don't think I did any real damage.

Oh, no Tracy! :sad2: Glad you didn't do too much damage, but ouch!

Oh and even better after I pried myself from that position I found out how badly I had scared Ace, one little turd by the balcony door, LMAO.

I bet Ace is worried about you - those little ones are very empathetic!

Ah, you know me so well! ;) Well, no DLR today as the kids have decided today should be a Pajama day! :faint: I swear, they're killing me!

What?? No DLR?? What's wrong with kids today :lmao::lmao:

Can anyone tell me how I can post an photo at a size you can see? I started a Photobucket account but when I put the IMG in my post the photo is so tiny? I can't figure it out???:confused3 Thanks.

OH WOW Janet!! thanks!! :thumbsup2 that phrase has always bugged me because I never knew what the heck people were talking about!! now it makes sense to me!!!

Wikipedia is your friend ::yes::

Interesting thread!! :surfweb:

"Snark Much?" that was great Janet!! :lmao:

:rolleyes1;)

Hi, everyone!

:wave2:

We had a great day yesterday - went for a nice little hike and then an easy boat ride - no swimming, very chilly, but relaxing and fun.

Sounds great!

I know there will be changes:rolleyes1 but if not, trust Janet! For a long weekend Pop will be fine! Only suggestiong from me, request anything but 1st floor. (yes they have an elevator!) Especially if you are going to be by the pool. NOISY! We stayed in both the 90's and the 60's and both were great locations. Not in the middle of the hustle and bustle, but close enough to the food court, buses that you feel like you are walking from DTD to SSR:rolleyes1 Those are standard locations. 70's is preferred and right there at the main building. BUt remember...anything but the 1st floor!:thumbsup2

We're back. It was a nice trip. We enjoyed the time together,

Well it's about time you checked in:rolleyes1;) Welcome Back:hug:

Definitely too small for 4 people. IT was tight when ANdrew was with us last year. WIth the 3 of us its, not too bad...JImmy doesn't take up that much room yet!

Can anyone tell me how I can post an photo at a size you can see? I started a Photobucket account but when I put the IMG in my post the photo is so tiny? I can't figure it out???:confused3 Thanks.

SOmewhere in PB there is a place where you resize...I think!:confused3

Hey all. SOccer got rained out. Kind of hard to play when the fields are under 3 inches of water;) So, we went to breakfast at Freindly's and then headed over to my aunts house. JUst got home a little bit ago. Jimmy is playing for a bit then it will be bath and bed time. We will prbably go sit out on the proce with our neighbors again. It's a beautiful night here!

Tomorrow he and Jim are off for Yom Kippur. Jimmy will be going to his after school program for the day. Jim and I have a meeting with his therapist to start plans, etc. We asre also going to set up his room so he can display his Lego's. It will be a nice surprise for him when he comes home. :thumbsup2

We miss you, Mr. T! :goodvibes

Love the Harry Potter movies, but couldn't really get into the books. Although I am definitely going to read the last one before the movie comes out (I'm scared I'll find out the ending before I finish!)

See, I adore the books, and think the movies are just "eh." They did a pretty good job, but it's so hard to get everything in from the books, and I just nearly always prefer a book. ;)

Sure do! Sounds like you're not looking for a ton of bells and whistles, which certainly keeps the price down. Thanks so much!

We asre also going to set up his room so he can display his Lego's. It will be a nice surprise for him when he comes home. :thumbsup2

Sounds lovely! :)

The boys enjoyed the movie, but agree that the book is better. :rolleyes1 :rotfl:

I don't know what we're up to the rest of the night, but I would assume it involves TV or a movie. Have a good one, everyone! :grouphug:

seriosly? they decided to stay in their PJs rather than go to DL?!

Where did you end up staying? Would you believe POP was Andy's idea? :confused3
I got a great code for Coronado! it came out cheaper than POP. I really liked it! Steve liked Riverside better. :confused3

I'm not a point guru like LL is. I don't know how the heck she works her points, but always seems to get at least 3 vacations out of her UY. :confused3

What?? No DLR?? What's wrong with kids today :lmao::lmao:

Pshew! No kidding! Now they want to go tonight to see the new Halloween fireworks. I'm on the fence about it - they'll be a bear to wake up in the AM.

Can anyone tell me how I can post an photo at a size you can see? I started a Photobucket account but when I put the IMG in my post the photo is so tiny? I can't figure it out???:confused3 Thanks.
Before you upload them, go to the "Options" link and change the size there or you can hit the edit button on uploaded pics and change the size. :thumbsup2

I've only seen a few mins of the 1st movie. I'm just not into that stuff. Don't get me started on Star Wars, either.

Don't know if you girls and guy ;) have heard of the website animoto, but you can make fun photo slideshows from your computer... so easy! Check out ours!

Well, I can't tell that the schedule has changed for my cruise---lemme know where you saw that, Slate, cause I may be the last to know! And I've put $500 down as a early saver deposit so kinda committed anyway! But Ocho Rios was kinda the point....:sad2:

Well, I've gotta head to Nashville, TN tomorrow for my 8 am ear appt on Tues. It's a 5.5 hour drive so wish me luck. Not overly looking forward to it....would be funner with someone to go with but I didn't want my mom to have to take off work since my dad has been so sick.....and I'll need Daran to go with me for the surgery........so off I go!

....should have got a referral to an Orlando ENT! :thumbsup2

I searched earlier and did not see a cruise leaving from Tampa that included a stop in Jamaica. At least I thought you were leaving from Tampa. Or are you taking the Freedom from Ft. Lauderdale?

He's not. HE is what I call a recovering Catholic;) We are a bit PO'd at the Catholic CHurch after what they did to Jimmy last year! The schools here close for the JEwish holidays though.

Pshew! No kidding! Now they want to go tonight to see the new Halloween fireworks. I'm on the fence about it - they'll be a bear to wake up in the AM.

I could never do that with Jimmy. He would never get up in the morning!:headache:

I'm dying to try Friendly's!

When you come visit I will take you;)

You give 'em all 3 inches of that Croslite sole!!

Good morning all. Waiting for Jim to take Jimmy to the school is closed, but you are going to after school anyway program so that we can get started on his room. We have a 2:00 appointment with his therapist, then nothing for the day. THe after school teacher is taking them to the library for a scavenger hunt then to the McD's for Sundaes. Nice day for them and I can still get stuff done around the house:thumbsup2

We will never jump the shark, although I do enjoy Jon Hein who started it.
Jon Hein from Howard? I never realized he was the same.... I like him too!

It's just too much work for me every Tuesday and I get little to no parent help, besides Maddie's taking a Hip Hop Dance class on Tuesday now, too. Have mercy!
I am surprised you had that many meetings! That's alot. :scared1:

We have the Cub SCouts every week too. I think it's too many meetings, but we shall see how it goes! We go tomorrow to the Scout store to get Jimmy's shirt and everything. He is so excited!
We were cub scouts over here for a LONG time! We only meet once a month for our den and once a month for the pack. I love how they look in their little uniforms! So cute! Glad your eyes are on the mend. :lovestruc

The poor brown child has zero rhythm! :rotfl:
So, she's not the next J-Lo? ;) Well, she's cuter anyway.

Work should be fun. :rolleyes1
Never a dull moment at Lessa's job! :rotfl2: Sorry you don't feel well. Hope it goes away soon.

I read on twitter that Kristel's friend Rockie's mom passed away . My heart is aching for all of them. I have lost my mom too and it is gut wrenching.

That is so sad. Poor Kristel and Rockie. Sending love!

BTW = ANyone ever been to Niagra Falls? Anything to do there with kids other than look at the falls? Trying to come up with a couple of long weekend type trips for next summer since we ain't going to WDW
If you go to the Canadian side, let me know. We go every year. :thumbsup2

I'm trying to break away from the TR board.
I don't think I've posted on here since thread 2.
Can I come back.
Naturally! :goodvibes

Well, thought BA was headed back to school but she started running a 102 fever and aching all over last nite....it's down now but she's still in bed. This has been a bad week. I'm working in the evenings when Daran comes home---luckily my job will let me do that.
Poor BA. That cold/virus/whatever is EVERYWHERE! It really seemed like ALL of Disney was coughing and sick. :confused3

Hi everyone! :wave2:

I've been to the Poly to have breakfast with Mel, Dawn & hubbies, as well as Jo and her sister. Tonga toast is so good!
Loved seeing you! Missed Mooch though. :goodvibes

:sad1: Time for a pity party, I woke up this morning feeling even worse, the cold has now moved down into my chest so I have a lovely hacking cough to accompany the sneezes and stuffy nose. This is the worst possible weekend to get sick due to how busy work is plus I have my Bio and Chem tests to study for and an essay to write.
Aww Lessa.

I`ve been re-connecting with my ex-fiancée. We havent seen each other in 21 years! but I loved him and always will. we have been e-mailing back and forth. its nice because I was able to say things that I`ve wanted to for all this time. I`ve talked to him on the phone twice. but we ran out of time. its been hard to find times to chat in private without "someone" else being home. we text too. he lives out in Boise ID. Married with 2 kids. Steve has no idea. I`ve saved his number in my phone as "Buzz".. its not going to go anywhere at all..we are just getting caught up again. we are both happy in our marriages. but,, it also has been kinda exciting having this happen.
Oooh. I agree with Tracy and CE. Be careful.

We had a great day yesterday - went for a nice little hike and then an easy boat ride - no swimming, very chilly, but relaxing and fun.
Sounds lovely. I bet the leaves are gorgeous right now. I miss it.....

Looks like we'll be heading to WDW in January for an adults only trip. We cancelled our Mexican cruise for next month *coughcoughSWINEFLUcoughcough*, so we thought a trip to WDW is just the ticket.

Here's the thing ... we're staying at ... wait for it ... wait for it ... Well, unless a great code comes out or a incredible AP rates pops up.
We stayed at Pop for FF2008. Not bad for just us (snobs also...). It was clean and comfortable. Not too bad of a walk to and from stuff. Busses were GREAT! I didn't like that the only food option was the food court though. That's my only gripe.

As for me, today I am resting, taking it easy ie. being lazy because well I took a fall yesterday. I posted about it on my PTR, today I am laughing about it but my knee is still throbbing, my wrist hurts, and I am sore all over. I feel like a total idiot. Ouch! Poor Tracy! I'm graceful like that too.

Oh, Hey! I have been wondering where you'd gone off too....Glad you're back!
Hi Daisy!!! :wave2:

I'm dying to try Friendly's!
I was a "Friendly's Girl" during high school. Gained 20 lbs. :sad2:
It is my firm belief that everyone should have a Jim Dandy once in their lives......:thumbsup2

TE: good luck! I'll be thinking about you. :wizard:

*********************************
Well, I'm home. The trip was good. We had a great time together. The weather was HOT. I mean, H O T. HOT. We survived though.

The boys did fine. The house was dirty and I had tons and tons of laundry but we're all caught up now.

I have NO intention of doing a TR. Dawn and I barely saw each other. It's just too hard to try to mesh your lives together when you're there with your husbands. However, the time we did spend was wonderful. I loved seeing Jo and Em too. Breakfast at the Poly was wonderful!!! I wish that we could have seen Angela's Mitch too but I always love to see her even without him... LOL
Rachel IS way too cute. I mean seriously. She's so cute she's not safe alone at the pool. ROFL.... You'll have to ask her... LOL

Got one kid off to school. Got one more and a husband to go. Then PEACE!

LY guys.

Soo much better! Right noe it's like one tiny little fingerprint in the middle of my eye!:thumbsup2

I think weekly is a little much, but Jimmy LOVES it so I'm not going to go crazy about it. It's the only thing he has shown this much interest in! BEsides, Jim being Den leader means he HAS to go every week. Me, I can go when I want too!:lmao:

If you go to the Canadian side, let me know. We go every year. :thumbsup2

Will do!

We stayed at Pop for FF2008. Not bad for just us (snobs also...). It was clean and comfortable. Not too bad of a walk to and from stuff. Busses were GREAT! I didn't like that the only food option was the food court though. That's my only gripe.

We like the food court with Jimmy, but if it was just us I would probably feel the same way ::yes::

I was a "Friendly's Girl" during high school. Gained 20 lbs. :sad2:
It is my firm belief that everyone should have a Jim Dandy once in their lives......:thumbsup2

Jim said he gained weight when he worked there too. HE would take the mint cookies and go sit in the walk-in during his breaks:rotfl2:

Glad you guys had fun, but that you are back too!:goodvibes

I`ve just been informed that I`m missing the Cleveland Brown show!! and a brand new Family Guy in 5 minutes! I`ll be back at 9:30! :cool2:

I had heard bad things about Cleveland and I agreed. We love Family Guy and American Dad, but weren't impressed. :confused3

Don't know if you girls and guy ;) have heard of the website animoto, but you can make fun photo slideshows from your computer... so easy! Check out ours!

I'll check it out!

:thumbsup2

Good luck, hon.

Nice day for them and I can still get stuff done around the house:thumbsup2

Very good!

Sounds lovely. I bet the leaves are gorgeous right now. I miss it.....

There's actually more color right now at my house than around the lake, which seems odd to me as it's north. We're hoping for one last trip next weekend to "leaf peep" and then that's probably it.

It's supposed to be a fantastic year because of the early summer of rain and the dryness over the last month or so.

LOL

Glad you had fun - can't wait to hear some details. :)

Ugh. I'm in full out cold or allergy mode - can't tell which. I'm more sneezy than a normal cold, but I'm stuffed up and coughing, too.

I'm supposed to have team tennis at noon. I half want to go because I don't want to sit on my rear all day (I honestly did some sort of workout every day but yesterday last week!) but half don't because I'm miserable. I'm not tired, exactly, but just have that "full head" feeling that makes me lazy. :rotfl2:

D says he's going to the office. He's got a trip that leaves tomorrow and isn't back until kind of late on Friday.

I have a pretty easy week, at least for now. Nothing out of the ordinary except for the school ice cream social on Friday night... No meetings, no appointments... :thumbsup2

I just booked a 4 night cruise with the Kids Sail Free promo! I'm just going to add it onto our March trip. :yay:
