Well, thought BA was headed back to school but she started running a 102 fever and aching all over last nite....it's down now but she's still in bed. This has been a bad week. I'm working in the evenings when Daran comes home---luckily my job will let me do that.

Poor thing:hug: What does the doctor say.

Jimmy doesn't ewat beef in any way shape or form:confused3
Mine's not the only one?! Well, excepting burgers - he'll eat those. But forget steak, roast beef, etc.

WTH does "green" mean anyway?
Ooooo, did someone say GREEN! :teeth: You know how I love my eco stuff. ;) I'll admit, I use the Green Works toilet cleaner and like it a lot... but only because it was the only "green" one I could find at Publix and didn't want to hit the natural foods store. My beef with Green Works is that it's owned by Clorox - which is NOT an ecologically or animal-friendly corporation overall. It still tests on animals, so I try to avoid it.

I use a lot of Seventh Generation products - I especially like its liquid fabric softener. I like that Seventh takes their green philosophy all the way through; sustainable building materials, proper waste disposal, energy reduction measures, etc.

Yes, I'm pretty crunchy granola when it comes to this stuff. ;)

BTW = ANyone ever been to Niagra Falls? Anything to do there with kids other than look at the falls? Trying to come up with a couple of long weekend type trips for next summer since we ain't going to WDW:sad2:
Look on my FB page! ;) I grew up 15 minutes away from the Falls. It's okay. I honestly can't say I'd go out of my way to visit, but it's interesting. Get passports and head to the Canadian side - it's WAY better than the American side. Clifton Hill has all the touristy stuff - Guinness World Records Museum, Madame Toussaud's Wax Museum, haunted house type museums, etc. On the American side, Niagara Falls State Park is a good spot for viewing; you can get right up next to the Falls. A ride on the Maid of the Mist is mandatory. ;) Near the Falls, on Grand Island (USA) is home to Fantasy Island, if you need an amusement park break.

I'm trying to break away from the TR board.
I don't think I've posted on here since thread 2.
Can I come back.
Of course!

Well, look at that - I'm almost social again!:rotfl: Now I need to go do more social networking for work. :headache:

TGIF!

The doctor says bronchitis---I put another call in just now to let her know about the fever and make sure we were on the right antibiotic...

The weird thing is that my house is messier since I've been home all week.:confused3 And I still haven't figured out the dang sewing machine--the bobbin thing fell out and I can't get it put back together.

Mine's not the only one?! Well, excepting burgers - he'll eat those. But forget steak, roast beef, etc.

Jimmy too! Oh, he will eat meatballs...just NOT my homemade one's --only the frozen one's. You'd never know he's half Italian would you:sad2:

Keep us posted. What does he have her on?

I have a sewing machine. It's been in my hall closet for about 5 years now:lmao:

Hi everyone! :wave2:

I've been to the Poly to have breakfast with Mel, Dawn & hubbies, as well as Jo and her sister. Tonga toast is so good! :lovestruc They were going to nap before heading to Epcot for F & W. Since we're going to MK tonight, I decided I needed a nap too since apparently my sleeping for more than 4 hours in a row is a silly pipe dream. Good thing I have TiVo because 2.00 am tv is carp! Rachel came by for a minute whilst we were eating but didn't want to intrude. Like we would have cared! :goodvibes We all decided her pictures don't do her justice. She's a cutie! I also stopped at WoD to get a refund because I was charged twice for one item. The manager took care of it promptly with no questions asked. :woohoo: Sad that I thought it would be a bigger ordeal, but glad that it wasn't. I should Tweet that. :thumbsup2

Is the mom's panel at WDW?
I read a little bit on their thread, and I'm pretty sure they were all talking about being there this week.

Tonga toast is like dessert-heart attack on a platter.
They should call it, "the adults candy breakfast".

Say hi to Jo tonite if you see her.
Thanks,

Jimmy too! Oh, he will eat meatballs...just NOT my homemade one's --only the frozen one's. You'd never know he's half Italian would you:sad2:
I hear ya - Leo - GASP! - doesn't like spaghetti! Or lasanga. Or anything with red sauce. Except pizza. ;)
Thanks for the tip! WHere can you get this stuff!
We have it at Publix here. It's really nondescript packaging - you kind of have to search for it amongst the other breands, lol!

Did you ever get any help over there? Welcome back - we're happy to see you! :)

My friend and I had a great chatty walk - and it was 3.4 miles, so we were good, too! That's a 5K, right? :)

Then, we met our other friend for coffee at Panera and that was fun, then made a Target stop. She took me back to her house, and I then went to the grocery store and I'm finally home. We are indeed going to our friends' house tonight, so that's fun.

We may try to delay our date night until next weekend, in order to go to the boat. I don't know. The neighbor kid isn't available next weekend, so we'd have to try to find someone else if we delay, but the weather's getting so that we should probably go if we want to go. The last weekend we can have it on the water is in 2 weeks, but D thinks he'll be flying that weekend, and now MIL is coming in, too. So if we don't go tomorrow, and next weekend stinks (which we have no way of knowing now) we'd be done without really meaning to be. Still... It was his idea to do a date night, and I hate to mess with the plans we actually made.

MIL said she'd love to have us do a date night when she's here, but since D thinks he'll be gone that weekend, that's a gamble, too! :rotfl:

Anyway...

I hope everyone's having a great Friday! :goodvibes

Oh crap! I tried to watch Modern Family, but it was sooo lame,

Bummer about MF - I have it DVRd to watch - and the commercial looked so funny!!:guilty:

Well the inevitable has happened, I have caught the traditional back to school cold. Half the class was sniffling along with me today. This happened despite my making liberal use of all the antibacterial hand sanitizer pumps placed all over the school. :headache:

I'm "looking forward" to a busy weekend. This weekend is the weekend the students settled on for the annual street party/riot despite the fact that the school canceled Homecoming BECAUSE of this illegal party. According to the NATIONAL newspaper, that's right, it has gotten so bad that this is now national news, we are going to have dozens of mounted police and hundreds of police/riot squad members on hand to try and deal with the crowd. Work should be fun. :rolleyes1

 Sorry about the cold - So NOT fun!

Try not to get in any trouble this weekend! :rotfl:

My shows for the season: Glee, house, 90210 (my guilty pleasure), lost, trying out fringe.

I was actually kind of excited for this new TV season to start. My shows so far are: Criminal Minds, Dancing with the Stars (guilty pleasure ;), Flash Forward, Grey's, Ghost Whisperer, Medium, The Good Wife, Two-1/2 Men, Big Bang Theory, and I'm also trying to like Fringe :happytv:

Tonight is my first Brownie leader meeting for the new year. I'm not looking forward to Brownie's this year.

I was able to get out of the whole Brownie/Girl Scouts deal when Ariel was young ... along with the Brownie sign up notices came the YMCA Indian Princesses sign up. I notice that Indian Princesses was for dads and daughters. I told my DH it sounded like a good thing for them to do together and he bit - and wound up becoming "Big Chief" of the whole program :rotfl2::rotfl2: They did it for years together. And I never had to be Cookie Mom :cool1:

I read on twitter that Kristel's friend Rockie's mom passed away :sad1:. My heart is aching for all of them. I have lost my mom too and it is gut wrenching.

I'm so sorry to hear this, thanks for passing the news along though. :grouphug: to Kristel and her family.

Hi everyone, I am so behind. It sounds like CE needs a blog with all her recipes, I would love to try all 3 that were mentioned :rotfl:.

That would be great! I'd love to try to them too !

I think I broke the land speed record getting Jimmy ready today. WE overslept and he was up, dressed and out of the house in 23 minutes! He was really cooperative. It could be becasue he was just cooperative...or it could be that I bribed him with a trip to the dollar store if he was extra cooperative:rolleyes1 Hey, don't judge...it worked:lmao:

I couldn't sleep last night:sad2: I was still prowling around and playing Bejewelled at 1:30 - Hence why we overslept:headache:

I had plans to clean the bathroom and the kitchen today, we will see how tired I am before I tackle those jobs.

Tonight is the Cub Scout Popcorn Kickoff, so I don't have to plan anything for the Den Meeting which is good. Tomorrow we are going to the SCout store to get his shirt and patches and stuff and then to my Aunts house for a visit/tutoring lesson. My little cousin (2nd cousin really) is taking her Praxis exam (To become a teacher) next week and she needs some help with some of the math so Jim is going to sit with her and go over it. It gives me a good excuse to go check on my 82 year old aunt without her thinking I am checking on her;) Then Sunday is Soccer Day. Whew..I'm tired just reading all that:laughing:

Happy Friday everyone!

You're just a little busy, Janet!! Hey, did you get my PM? (I'm never sure if they actually work) - I was the last post on thread #11 too.

I did, just haven't responded yet! Will get to it...I promise:flower3:

==================

So I have done absolutely NOTHING today:guilty:

I'm so tired from not sleeping last night (Last I looked at the clock was 2am). So I am going to take a shower and wait for Jim to get sone work to pick me up. We are going to pick Jimmy up and then hit the $ Store. How sad is it that I am excited about going to the dollar store...I need to get back to work ::sad2::

How sad is it that I am excited about going to the dollar store...I need to get back to work ::sad2::

Well, look at the bright side... Maybe you were wondering before, "What if I could have stayed home? Should I have done it?" The answer for you is "no." :goodvibes Now you don't have to wonder. :)

My friend whose house we're going to tonight is the one who went back to being an airline pilot. She just didn't like being at home. And that's totally fine. I think truly the only reason I am is that they were twins, and so daycare for two infants was prohibitively expensive. With one, I probably would have continued to work. And some days I hate being at home. Others, I feel totally lucky. I know I would hate it if I couldn't go anywhere, too.

Your appointment is early next week, right?

ANd he didn't even realize you tricked him into it:rotfl:

No, can you believe it!!:rotfl2: Although I think I subsequently fessed up - it was a long time ago now!

I'm not rushing you, honest!:)

How is it that you always wind up spending $$$$$$ at the Dollar store :confused3 It doesn't take much to get me excited either

I totally see that. I know what I paid for daycare and now after school care for one. It would be prohibitive for me to work if we had more then one :faint:

Your appointment is early next week, right?

Tuesday. I don't think he is going to release me yet though. I'm thinking a couple of more weeks. THe eyes are much better, but still a bit better..plus the one drop I am on can't be stopped abruptly...it has to be lessened a little bit at a time.

I absolutely have to be back November 2nd. That is when my FMLA runs out. On the plus side I am able to volunteer at school for different things while I am home, which I think Jimmy likes...except when I don't let him go to after school care:rolleyes: So, if e keeps me out I will be able to help with picture day, the Haloween parade/party, etc. without having to use my vacation time!

o, can you believe it!!:rotfl2: Although I think I subsequently fessed up - it was a long time ago now!

:rotfl:

I'm not rushing you, honest!:)

No problem. Willow Grove is not far from me, so we can plan something to meet up for lunch on a Saturday...after I am able to drive again!

How is it that you always wind up spending $$$$$$ at the Dollar store :confused3 It doesn't take much to get me excited either

Hence why it should be names the $30 Store;)

There's an "interesting" thread on the community board about spanking and IQ. I have to warn y'all that my responses are very snarky.
