After not seeing the MCO Hyatt on Hotwire for a while, we went to get a Stay Certificate online the other night. First of all, I guess you have to act like you are buying it for a business, which is fine, as we own a business. But, then as we got to the check-out, it looked like the only option you have for shipping is $25 FedEx. Is this correct, or is there a better way to do this? Thanks!

Last time I checked shipping was $6.00 and they did not ask for any business or company information.

Maybe they're making changes to the program? :confused3

I just bought one in January for our prenight at the Hyatt and it only cost $6.00 to ship. I did not need it immediately or anything. It came within 10 days of my ordering.

What I did find out after I purchased it was when I went to use it by calling the main Hyatt 800 reservation line they told me their allotment of rooms for the those certificates were already used up at the Hyatt MCO. I was bummed but they did suggest I call the hotel directly which I did. The person at the Hyatt MCO had no idea what I was talking about when I asked to make a ressie using the Stay Certificate. I actually walked her through looking it up on the website. she said she never heard of them before (and had worked there for awhile). She said she would talk to a supervisor and call me back. She called within 30 minutes and told me that I could use it for my pre stay. I was delighted. She thanked me for letting her know about the Stay Certificates so she would know what it was for future guests.

I checked in no problem with it.

P.S. I never had to say I was a business....?????

Did you order them from the Hyatt website? Does anyone know exactly what they clicked on to get to the Stay ordering info.? Maybe I am going to the wrong place on the site? Thanks!

Is it ok to use stay certificates for a Friday night stay, before our DCL cruise? I wasn't sure if there were any weekend restrictions. Also, does anyone know how many people they allow to a room using a stay certificate?
Thanks :-)

I just used ours last month the night before our cruise, & used it the night we returned. Both times, we had no problems.

Yesterday, I ordered 2 more for next year. I called the 800# that was on the website. The girls answered all of my questions. $6.00 for shipping costs.

We're a family of 4 that stayed in one room. If you need 3 beds request the room with a King size bed, & order 2 cots. FYI The rooms with 2 double beds, don't have enough space for cots.

We will be buying a Stay Certificate for May. Does your name show up on the certificate? Reason I ask is my mother-in-law will be arriving at the airport about an hour before we do. I was thinking of giving her the certitificate to check in before we get there.

This happend to us. My Certificates were locked in our suitcases. I gave them the reservation or conformation number, checked in, got our room & later bought down the certificates, with no problem.

I don't think there are weekend restrictions per se, but as MJ posted there are a limited number of rooms that can be booked at Stay rates. There also may be seasonal or special event blackouts when the certificate can't be used.

Soccermom, have you tried calling? The number I have written down is 800-555-0233. I'm not sure if it's a special number for the Stay Certificates or not, but they knew all about them and were very helpful when I called. It's been several months ago though.

Priority delivery in the USA is $14.00 via Fed Ex
Delivery outside the US is $20.00 via Fed Ex
We cannot deliver to PO boxes or PO Zip Codes.

When we ordered ours the shipping was $6 and we received them in about a week. We did call to order them because we had questions. Once we received the certificates we called the MCO Hyatt to book our room without any problems. Looking forward to our stay at the Hyatt.

Hey All! We purchased our Stay Certificate for the night before our Cruise (December 18th). The gentleman I spoke with confirmed availability of rooms first before I purchased. Once purchased, he booked our room for us. Within 10 days I received the certificate and am just now waiting to use it. $6 was our shipping fee as well.

This was extremely smooth so far and a great deal. Thanks to yous Dis Boarders for letting me know about this!

I just ordered mine last week for October. I called first and checked on room availability then ordered it. Just be warned that you have to sign for the fedex package.

OK I have to ask what is a stay cert?

I am looking to book 2 rooms Feb 19th, this sounds like an interesting option.

I, too, am confused with these certificates...at this time, I am being quoted a rate of $194 for a room before our Feb 7, 2010 cruise. Does this certificate get me a lower rate than that? :confused3 Can somebody explain what they are and how they work?

Thanks!

The certificate is $135, with shipping it was $141. The certificate is good for a one night stay. If you want to use the certificate I would call and be sure there are rooms available for the date you want before you purchase. It is still more than Hotwire but it does guarentee you the Hyatt at a good price.

Thanks...I noticed that there are different levels of certificates, and if I understand correctly, you all are buying the "stay" certificate for that amount...is this correct?

The certificate I purchased and am using is the "choice" certificate.
