for the time being as our minivan has broken down...!
waiting for them to come and fix it, we are with dollar and were told that we could be liable to pay if they jump start it and get it going, but if its anything major then dollar pay...
I have queried this and was told that chrysler could make us pay! as we don't have the breakdown cover...
just had a phone call all sorted now- we dont have to pay..
the breakdown car is here now so hopefully we will be able to go out soon

they took around 20 mins, the alternator has gone so i have phoned dollar back and they are bringing a new car which will be here in about an hour or so..
and i've now missed the dis meet at the poly

20 mins is good, hopefully you will be back on the road soon. Shame about missing the Meet. How many were going? Ours went on for 3 hours, was it at 2pm?

quite a few were going -it was at 1pm at the poly
we are going to mnsshp tonight so hope to recognise some of them there in their costumes!!

yep we got the car eventually! went to mnsshp, had a great time!! fantastic atmosphere as usual! we went as hippies left the park at 12.45am so it was a long long night!!

And what a weird coincidence that meeting was!!! Good for Sapper and family for having a costume we could all recognise!!! We managed to leave at 12:25am There were just three cars in the disabled car park when we returned!

If you hire a car and it breaksdown you are liable to get it sorted unless you have breakdown cover?

All car rentals include breakdown cover but what they do not cover is anything that is your fault, eg leaving lights on all night, locking keys in car etc. Sometimes they try sell you cover for this(think its around $5/day) your choice if you take this cover, some agents are really persistant and try get you to have it. I never have, at $5 a day it would have cost me about $1,700 over the years.
