Stop Making Me Laugh Or I'll Pee My Pants! Go Back! I Lost My Shoe! Trip Report!

Okay, quick question. How do I upload pictures to my PTR from photobucket?

Once you have your pictures uploaded to photobucket, go to your album on their site. Underneath each picture, you'll see three links. Copy the bottom link and then come back and paste that link to your trip report. Should show up perfectly!

Love the pictures of the acrobats. I could watch them for hours. Hope the shower wasn't too bad. ;)

Oh, and i do the pricing thing to alot. I haven;t for awhile and did some yesterday. I was shocked how much the price is going up for next year. I think the dining plan went up quite a bit. I thought it was like 40-42 this past March and now the site says for under $47. WOW. and the whole trip was just insanely expensive. I know we got a deal last year, but if there is no great deals this year, I know for sure we won't be going. :headache: Each year it has gone up, but each year we have added a day, but even last year 2 of our days were free. The trip alone this year would cost what last years cost along with the airfare last year. So I don't think things look good for us. I may look at cruises. Norgwegian is usually the cheapest, and if I can get DH talked into a 4 day one, we could go and stil lbe much cheaper than Disny. I would rather disney, but it may actually be nothing at this point. With his surgery and milk prices are down, I'm hearing alot of grumbling about money. We aren't in the poor house, but I sure don't want to put us there with a vacation either. LOL! OR have him at like we are because of it.

I priced out our vacation a bunch of times using several different scenarios. The vacation will cost about $400.00 more than last year. But, that's without any discounts. I am keeping my fingers crossed that a special offer will come out during our time period. If I am remembering correctly, the dining plan went up about $3 or $4 per person.

I looked into the cruises this year. The cruise itself was cheaper than the vacation. But, we want to do several shore excursions and by the time I added those in, it cost way more than our Disney vacation.

I understand your worry about money. With John being self-employed too, I am right there with you. I am always keeping my fingers crossed that the next job comes along. Then, on top of being self-employed, we have to worry that his epilepsy doesn't cause problems.

We've called those a shower and a storm! :lmao:
I was going to do that for Gwendolyn & Joe if they ever get married! but, at the rate they are going they are going to have everything before it ever comes (which is a good thing) last Christmas we bought them a bunch of kitchen stuff!
I've only been to one but it was alot of fun...

The showers that I give are always fun. We dress casually and joke. I am really not into the stuffy wedding showers.

I'm so glad John was able to settle the situation with the lady customer. (When my mom and dad had the flower shop; evertime they went out of town something broke--I was always left with trying to fix something...the delivery van, the cooler, the A/C, etc.)
I love the two pics w/the lion; both poses were great!

Thankfully, the guy made it out to be way worse than what it was. The lady/customer was not at all upset.

Great update. I like China too. We really enjoyed it in May while doing the Kim Possible adventure.

I think we like China so much because it's cheap. Doesn't that sound awful?

1. Is it possible to think about Disney too much?
2. You are not thinking about Disney. You are carefully planning. ;)

Also, my son wants to know if you can post some pictures of Hunter's swords that he bought at Disney.

Hum? Let see, excessive Disney thoughts? Is that even possible?

I'll take some pictures of Hunter's swords tonight and post them tomorrow. They are really cool.

I'm glad John was able to work everything out with your customer. It's so hard to have to deal with something that is someone else's fault. I'm glad you were able to take care of it and get on with your vacation.

I love the acrobats in China too, and I KNOW Will is going to love them. That just seems like something that will be one of his "things". Christian will probably like them too, actually, so I'm sure we'll be watching.

My brother used to collect swords. He bought them in Disney every year too, although I think he always got them at DTD at the shop where they have all the crystal. He might have gotten one or two in Japan. I wonder if he ever figured out China was cheaper? I don't even know where they are now, but he had a bunch. I think it's cool that Hunter collects them too.

Glad you got Photobucket figured out. I love your pictures. What did Lacey's shirt look like?

Looking forward to the next installment...and no, I still haven't started packing. Not really. I mean I've had everything we don't use in every day life together for a while now, but there's nothing in suitcases. Maybe tomorrow...hopefully. ;)

The lady was fine and dandy with John. I just hate it when somebody tries to put something off on someone else.....namely, John.

The acrobats are just amazing and very entertaining. I am sure your boys will love them.

We have also bought a sword for Hunter in Hot Springs, Arkansas. It's the one from Narnia and it is so cool. Well, it's not the actual one from Narnia but you know what I mean.

I am finding it funny that I didn't take pictures of any of our souveniers. You guys know that I like to take pictures of everything.

Good morning Lisa!

I'm glad the whole issue with John's customer worked out. I hope you didn't spend too much time dwelling on it and were able to just put it behind you and enjoy your day. I hate it when work interferes with family time! :headache:

Cool acrobat pics! When we saw them in April, they were performing inside and my pictures didn't turn out so great. They really are amazing! :thumbsup2

That's a fun tradition Hunter has with the swords. Very cool! Isaiah and Hunter would be best of friends I'm sure!

Love the silly face pics! :rotfl:

Hope you have a great Monday! ;)

Don't worry! We left the office problems behind in no time at all. Of course, we fussed about the guy a little before moving on.;)

You know, I have honestly thought (I do that every once in a while.) that Isaiah and Hunter would get along. They seem to be laid back about a lot of things.

Hi Lisa!!:goodvibes

Great update!! I'm glad everything worked out with John's customer. Just what you want to deal with while you're on vacation...huh??:sad2:

Love the acrobat pictures in China--so cool!!! I know I keep saying it..but next time I hope to spend much more time in the WS exploring. The weather didn't cooperate last trip.

Great pictures of Hunter and Lacey!!;)

Just wait, we get another call from the guy later on in the vacation. Dumb bunny!

We usually try to take our time and actually explore the countries but this trip it was just too dang hot!

Love the pictures of the acrobats. I could watch them for hours. Hope the shower wasn't too bad. ;)

Me too! But, it always seems like we walk up during the middle of the show.

Good morning Lisa. I loved the last update. The pictures were great as usual. Glad it worked out for John. Ya think the guy was trying to cover his butt before the lady talked to John? Trying to make it the customers doing so John wouldn't be upset with him. I am still waiting for a pearl picture or did I miss it. Geesh, be gone 2 days from your report and you have to practically start all over. Loving it as usual. Have a great day.

Holy guacamole! If I had been your uncle, I would have been scared to death.
Yeah, I think he WAS pretty scared. He thought it was Satan, not a ghost, though. Whatever it was, that is really frightening! He could have been dreaming, too, but I think he was awake enough to frighten him really bad, however. :confused3

LOVED the last update! I'm glad John worked it out with the customer. Don't you just hate it when other people throw you under the bus when you aren't around to defend yourself? Ugh. Some people.

Cool that Hunter found a sword he liked at a price you liked. What a neat thing to collect, especially from Disney World! The picture of Lacey is too cute. I just love silly pictures like that. What a ham!

Now she tells me... I wish I had known that there were swords in China & UK! I bought one for my DF in 2006 in Japan and spent an arm AND a leg!

At least now I know for our upcoming trip!

Hello! Lisa!
hope your day is going smoothly; seen you were doing like me and catching up on other threads! have a great day!
:wave2:

Hey Ginny,

We missed you over the weekend but I'm glad that you had a good time at the family reunion. I know you were semi-dreading it.

John was able to smooth things over with the lady...not that they really needed smothing over from our end but still.

I haven't posted the pearl pictures yet. This weekend was busy for me.

While we were happy that this guy referred the cabinet job to John, it almost didn't seem like it was worth it. But, the money was good so.........:confused3

Hunter absolutely loves swords, knives and guns. He and I were laughing about it once. I told him "you know a lot of parents would be really concerned if their son was obsessed with these kinds of things." and he just laughed at me and said "mom, it's me Hunter!". Never had the conversation again.

As you know, we like the silly pictures.

Yeah! The prices in the other countries were outrageous! The ones in China were much better priced.

I've been trying to sneak in my Disboard time today. The boss is back in town and in a weird mood. Not really a bad mood but not exactly a good one either. I think I am finally caught up reading my subscribed trip reports. Hopefully, when the boss leaves at 3:00 for a Hearing Officer Conference, I can post an installment....even if it's a short one.

I've been a bad girl lately and feel the need to "confess" to those who will understand.

Even though we have officially decided to stay at the CBR again next year, I haven't booked the vacation yet. This is so unlike me. I usually book as soon as the rates come out. I've been hoping and praying and keeping my fingers, toes and sometimes even my eyes crossed that a special offer will be announced and I'll save oodles of money.

Anyway, so every other day, I'll check the Disney website for special offers. Then, I'll price out a vacation just to see if the rate has magically changed. The last few times I have priced out the vacation, I've had an Exit Survey pop up. It asks you why you didn't book the vacation. One of the options is something like "price was too high or wasn't a good enough value". It also gives you a place to make a comment. Even though I know that I am going to be booking even if there's not a special offer, I click the "price is too high" option and type in the comment box that I would love to come back to Disney but if the prices remain so high, I won't be able to. I also type in my email address.

Now, I don't know if this will ever lead to me getting a pin code but I think it's worth a shot. At least maybe Disney will see that everybody is out there searching for a Disney vacation bargain and they'll put out another special offer.

Okay, I've confessed and I feel better. Will I ever do this again? Absolutely! What the heck can it hurt?

Hey, you do what you gotta do, right? No harm in trying to save some money!

I'm not telling a fib when I tell them that I didn't book because the price was too high. I just didn't mention the fact that I am going to be booking even if a special offer never comes out. The way I look at it, I may be helping others out too because maybe Disney will see the need for more special offers.

I just found out why my boss is in a funky mood.......his mother is having brain surgery this Wednesday. They knew that she had an aneurism (I think I totally botched up the spelling. Doesn't it have a y in it somewhere?) Anyway, they sent the tests off to a brain surgeon who said he could do the surgery but only if it is this week.

We have a full court docket and we can't reschedule our Wednesday trial with this late notice. So, he won't be going with his mother. His sister will. The boss is going to stay home and watch over his Dad who had a stroke recently and can't travel the over 100 miles to the hospital.

From what he explained to me, it is supposed to be a fairly easy procedure and if everything goes okay, she'll be able to leave 72 hours after surgery. But, still, it's brain surgery and he won't be there. Somebody does need to stay here and help calm his Dad's fears since he can't travel either.

I'm sure that is going to be hard on your boss-but at least he will be taking care of his Dad. I'll say a prayer for his mom.:littleangel:

I have to confess, I have done the same thing :rolleyes1. I have only gotten two pin codes from Disney with one being before they started the survey thingie and the other a couple of months ago and it wouldn't have worked for us anyway. It was the one offering free dining for kids under 9 :sad2:.

I am hoping Disney is going to offer the 7/4 again. It was a pretty good deal. I am planning on getting APs again for the 3 of us. I don't think I will bother with the Tables in Wonderland card though. I just didn't see that it has saved us any money.

Aneurysm does have a y in it, but that isn't what matters. I will be keeping your bosses Mom in my prayers. I am glad they found it in time.

I do it too EVERYDAY!!! except I usually skip the survery. Maybe I should start doing the survey everyday also! I would love to get a pin! My mom gets two a year :confused3
she does not even go on the internet and its my dad's name in their system :confused3

I am so sorry to hear this! At least he will be able to be there for his DAD! he would have probably made that decision even if his court schedule was not what it is! but, I will be sending prayers their way!
