5 Days, 4 Parks, 3 DIS-meets, 2 ADR’s, and 1 Solo DISer!

The TR has started at the end of the PTR...links are in Post #2
There isn’t much time before my next trip to WDW so this PTR will roll out the good stuff pretty fast. Besides my touring plans, I’ll be writing mostly on my random Disney vacation thoughts and such. So check back often over the next 2 ½ weeks!

If you want to know more about me and my family and the story about how I fainted on the plane last year going to Orlando the link is in my siggie.

Who: Me (Heidi) solo!
When: Wednesday 9/30 to Sunday 10/4
Where: All Star Music Resort
Why: to Celebrate Me!

When I picked my travel dates I had no idea that so many of my DIS friends were going to be in the World the same time as me. It’s such a bonus that I never expected when I decided that I need a vacation.

Disney is asking all their guests about what they are celebrating. I’m celebrating Me! My life has changed a lot in the past 5 years…and for 5 days in Disney I’m going to be Heidi. Not wife, not Mommy, but Heidi. I love my husband and kids will all my heart but I’m excited to find my lost magic.

WOOT!! I'm so excited!! Bring on the PTR/TR!!! Going to be a great trip!!!

Well I am so happy I stumbled upon this!! It is great that you get to go solo. I am just sad I didn't get to meet you last year or this year :sad1:, hopefully someday!

DUDE!!!! I want to celebrate Heidi!!!!

Perhaps I can start with the drink I owe you. :goodvibes I think it's a wonderful thing to celebrate, just being you. Good for you! HALA KAHIKI! :thumbsup2

I am subbing on-so excited to get in early...

Sounds like this may be a little like "how stella got her groove back"....
I'm hooked..loved your past trip report :woohoo: You'll find the magic!:cheer2:

Whooo Hooo-first page! Can't wait to follow along. Think it is great you are doing a solo trip-hope to do one myself someday!

I just added Goofy's Barnstormer ride to my touring plans. Got to ride it before it's changed!! and get plenty of pictures too.

About 90 days ago I was sitting on the couch with DH.

Me: Honey I want to go away for a long weekend.
DH: OK.
Me: Alone. Without you or the kids.
DH: Oh. ok.
Me: To Florida. To go to Disney.
DH: You'll be safe there. When do you want to go?
Me: First weekend in October.

Then I started crying. It was hard for me to ask my DH to take over all my responsiblities with the baby (4 mo. old) and a 2 yr old so I could go to Disney.

Just so you don't get the wrong impression from my crying....DH has been supportive of me going from the first minute of me letting him know that I wanted to go.

Not wife, not Mommy, but Heidi. I love my husband and kids will all my heart but I’m excited to find my lost magic.

I SO get this! Your vacation sounds like a dream trip! Have fun rediscovering you!!! Can't wait to read more! princess:

Oh, Heidi -- I so understand the tears and the mommy guilt -- I have been battling a pretty big dose of it this past week -- but we need "me" time, too -- it makes us better moms when we come back!

Awww Heidi!!!!! There is no doubt that you adore your family!!!! I have to agree with Jackie though you need that "me" time!!! I really enjoy my trips to Disney (DH enjoys me not dragging him LOL) and I always come back refreshed ready to face the world and appreciate my family even more!!! I really am so excited for this time for you!!!!! I can't wait to share in some of the Finding the Magic with you!!!:wizard:

I totally hear you. When I went away with Tink, it was definitely hard, but it was so worth it. I'm a firm believer in relaxing away time, and every mother needs it. Heck, even during the week I try to take an hour for myself if I can just to destress. That's probably one of the reasons I like going to the gym and working out so much. Nobody but me to worry about!

I'm glad you decided to do this. Unselfishly because I'm happy for you and selfishly because I get to meet you! :thumbsup2

Hi Everyone!!! Thanks for joining in and posting your wonderful comments, especialy the ones that let me know you "got it" about why I'm going solo. I've decided that I just don't have enough time to reply to each of you every day (at least durning the PTR). I hope you will still post comments as I read them ALL. And of course if you post a question I'll try to answer it.

You might have notice that I'm posting in a different style....not a big post about a certain subject. I'm sort of doing it in Twitter style- quick little posts thru out the day. So you might have to scroll thru the whole thing to find them.....

PS. My spelling and gammar are not any better this time around...you've been warned ;)

Even not having kids, I totally get the need for solo time. When I first approached Marc about going solo I felt bad because we had such a great time on our last trip but everyone needs things to themselves sometimes. :thumbsup2
