Magic Your Way Tickets??

As we're considering doing a split Disney/Universal stay I'm considering only buying 7 Day Disney tickets.

I've just been on the official US Disney site and I can get 10 Day Magic Your Way (+Park Hopper) Tickets for $590 (for the 2 of us) which at the moment equals £360. Going by ATD's 2010 prices a 7 Day Premium is £229 each and a 14 Day Ultimate £244 each. Obviously we don't have the option for a 10 day ticket here. But if I chose the 10 Day MYW ticket over a 7 Day Premium it would save us £100.

I'm assuming MYW tickets have to be used on consecutive days like a Premium/Ultimate would here? And would I just get an e-mail confirmation and collect tickets when we get there?

Please feel free to offer any other advice! Feel a bit stupid buying 14 Days when I know we won't do Disney everyday (we're more coaster junkies from the dark side *cough*Universal*cough*) but I don't wanna feel that I can't go to Disney because we've ran out of tickets so the 10 Day seems ideal.

I should probably point out that 7 Day MYW tickets would cost us $572 = £350, so for the sake of £10 for 3 more days, I feel obviously 10 days is a better deal.

The MYW tickets do not include water parks(unless you pay more) so if you are considering a day in a water park check MYW are still best option.
Dsiney's price does not include tax so your 10 day ticket (incl hopper) would cost $314.18 or £192.75, slightly cheaper from somewhere like this https://www.orlandoattractions.com/tickets/ticket/viewType/4/4 they would be $289.95 incl tax (£177.88)
14 day ultimate would cost £223 from Orlando Attractions incl hopping and water parks.
A ticket some prefer is the 10 day hopper MYW but add no expiration so any unused days can be used in the future, that would cost $483.95 incl tax or £296.90.

Thanks Wayne.

Tbh, I'm not really bothered about the water parks. BF can't swim and I can never be bothered with the hassle of a water park, lol.

I just thought buying 14 Days might be a waste as we definitely won't do Disney 14 days! But at the same time I don't wanna feel as if I can't do Disney as we've no tickets.

Can anyone tell me what would happen if I ordered MYW tickets from the WDW website?? Would I just receive an e-mail confirmation which I'd take to exchange for tickets on arrival or would they actually want to post me the tickets over here to the UK??

Thanks for the great responses, guys!

Not 100% set on booking MYW tickets or even direct with Disney but was just wondering what would happen as it's a US offer rather than UK! Glad to know that other people have ordered MYW tickets from the UK! I read that they don't expire until 14 days after 1st use so you don't need to use consecutively:thumbsup2

Really considering the MYW tickets as we won't do Disney everyday, and if we do stay on-site for a week, at least the next week we'll have 3 days left on MYW tickets should we decide to go back. If not it's still as saving as it's cheaper than a 14 Day Ultimate!

If anyone has anymore experience with MYW then let me know :D

Have a look on theDIBB.co.uk - tons of Brits doing the MYW thing to save money and loads of reviews and comments. A chap called 'GreyFriars' seems to offer the best advice from what we read. Hope this helps.
