ANy updates on Goofy's Dipped Cookies?

I read on another post a CM said the make your own big Oreo cookies were being taken off the DDP on 9/4. Anyone there have any updates on this? Is it true?

The thought of that cookie was the only thing that consoled me when I found out my beloved make you own Mickey Rice krispy treats were taken off the DDP.

If this ugly rumor is true, I need time to prepare myself for it!

It is true-you could only get a couple of items on the ddp. We just came back from Disney on Saturday and they were not on the list.

For both. They are no longer a snack option on the DDP, free or paid for.

We were there on 9/5, and I had no idea of the changes, so I was filling out my card with a rice crispy checked off, and the lady asked if I was using a snack credit, I said yes, and she said all that was included was the cookie, marshmallows and gingerbread mickey?? So, we got 2 cookies as snacks.

We were there on 8/31 and were able to get the mickey rice crispy treat, but only dipped and drizzled (no extra topping). Same thing with the pretzel sticks (3) and the marshmallows (3 or 4?).
But, there's a little bit wider selection in the premade case. Not sure if the cookies were there, but chocolate covered strawberries were still available, as well as a nice piece of nut crusted chocolate dipped brittle (English toffee). You could definitely get the premade chocolate dipped rice crispy treats (mickey shaped) as well as a very large cube of chocolate covered rice crispy treat (2"x3"x2"high!)

The big chocolate sandwich cookies were snack credits for ddp, but I don't know about any change occurring on 9/4. Although there were no signs up when we were there showing what was a snack credit, you had to ask the CM at the make-your-own counter.

We were there on 8/30 and again on 9/3. We were most certainly NOT allowed the dipped rice crispy treats in any form, just the prepackaged ones that retail at $3.50 for a snack credit.

For create-your-own the CM said the choices were the marshmallows, giant chocolate cookie, or gingerbread cookies - for snack credits. I specifically asked if I could get a rice crispy treat just dipped or drizzled for a snack credit and was told no. But I also saw them customizing pretzel rods for cash customers so it seems very inconsistent there.

The oop cost for my hubby's rice crispy treat with one topping was $4.80 with tax. Not too bad really, though I let them know that we were most unhappy with the changes.

I also let Disney know that the cheapening of the ddp is going to push us away from using it again if they don't shape up!! They sent me a survey and I gave them my FULL opinion on the issue!

I am GASPING in disbelief. Goofy's make your own has always been such a special part of our trip. Not going to be the same.

I just found that post too. I think it's in the confirmed snack list thread. What a sad day! I hope the slushie things at Goofy's are still on the DDP. I guess this makes means I have more credits to try new snacks this year. The marble cupcake at DHS looks yummy!

I don't remember if it was 9/4 or 9/5 but i got the cookie dipped with a topping and drizzle on the dp. You know if I would of never found this website I would of never known the difference and wouldn't of been so mad when I went in there and saw that rice crispy treat that I could not dip...lol.

Wow another great thing Disney has taken away. We stumbled on the Pretzel rods last year and fell in love. I guess it was a one time thing now.

Maybe we won't get the dining plan next trip. If we have to pay OOP for a lot of what were considered snacks before then its not worth it to pay for the DDP.
