Do you have a PTR going for that? Sorry I have been out of the Fauntleroy loop for a while! I need to see Parker pics again!

no not yet, i have started them early before and they seem to faze out some, i will prob wait till after christmas to start it, so only a few months left to go.

when i post more of him it will be on the old baby fauntleroy thread in my signature.

that was a great update, she looked so cute in her dress.

Yay!
Wow!
I have been taking a haitus (sp?) from the Disboards for a while and have enjoyed catching up on your trip!
Oh the TSM pics were great and I love that little gerbil guy from Bolt!
The princess breakfast looked fun- so cute to see Shae get so emotional waiting for those girls to come out and then- all is right with the world!
Looks like a really great time- can't wait to get back myself!

Did you try the Kim Possible at EPCOT?

Looking forward to more!
~N:yay:

The princess pictures are wonderful. Shea made a great princess the picture of her with Sleeping Beauty and the tears was heart breaking, then the rest of the pictures were all smile. I may need the twirling light toy myself, it looked like fun.

Thanks! We STILL play with that light toy (even though the lights stopped working a few months after we bought it:headache:)

I'll be on the lookout for you next PTR, then! I agree... I can't start mine too early, or they just get boring!!

Can't wait to see how big Parker is!!

Those pix of the princesses and your DD are really priceless. Oh the age of innocence......

Thanks, Jordan! They are some of my favorites, for sure

Glad you came off of your hiatus!!

Tyson did the Kim Possible stuff at EPCOT with our friends and their daughter. I didn't get to experience it first-hand, though after hearing about it more, I sure would like to!

Love the pictures of Shae with the princesses, too bad they made her cry because she waited sooooooooo long. That light up toy looks very cute.

Thanks!! The crying was heartbreaking, but it was neat to see how quickly those tears dried up once Aurora came through the door!

She practiced doing her 'princess hands', just like Snow White taught her:

OH.
MY.

If she isn't the cutest thing ever! :goodvibes:cutie::goodvibes:cutie:

Well, after 20 minutes of anticipation, the poor little thing couldn't STAND it any more. She just started crying... wondering WHY those princesses hadn't shown up yet.:sad2:
Awww, poor baby girl!

Guess how long we had to wait for a bus? Just guess.......
Hour?

Well, this face just about says it all:
P1030809.jpg

Tyson and I happily walked to the bus stop in some light rain, and waited for an Animal Kingdom bus to whisk us away to the land of Expedition Everest.. only the greatest ride EVER. And we waited...

and waited...

and waited..

saw THREE of these go by:
P1030808.jpg

and waited some more...

45 full minutes went by until our bus showed up. It was VEEERRRYYY hard for me to keep cheerful, but I had to be strong for the boy.. you know how it is...

We finally made it to AK:
P1030810.jpg

I don't remember WHY Tyson was wearing that heavy sweatshirt. I do remember asking him if he wanted to take it off, and he said no. Maybe the wet air?:confused3

We made our way over to the reason we came:
P1030813.jpg

The stand by line was actually very decent, so we hopped on in:

We rode it at least two times, then decided to ride another ride that Daddy can't do: PRIMEVAL HURL!! WEEE HOOO!! I love this ride, simply because it's unique... not too many roller coasters do what this does!
P1030835.jpg

P1030836.jpg

Ready to be whirled:
P1030838.jpg

Then I tried to take some shots while the ride was whirling. Some of them are kinda fun! You'll see two young girls in our car. They were from England, so they had the BEST accents. It was their first time on the PW, so Tyson had fun telling them all about it!

Ok, enough of THAT!

Our afternoon together was nice... just me and my boy and some fun Animal Kingdom rides! Next stop was Epcot, where we were going to meet back up with Matt and Shae for Illuminations.

This evening requires a bit of background story, so here we go:

I am an elementary teacher, and this spring break, I was teaching 3rd grade. I had the MOST AMAZING CLASS ever!!! Wonderful, respectful, bright kids, and (even better), supportive, understanding, on-the-ball parents!! You just don't come across a class like this every millennia! I like them so much that I looped with them to 4th grade this year, and have them all again!:yay:

Anyway.. my kids know how much I adore Disney, and I talk about it all the time with them. One of my students and his family was going to Disney during spring break, and he was so excited to know that we'd be there at the same time. His mom volunteered in my class once a week, so we exchanged phone numbers and hoped that we could meet up at some point in the trip. Well, we had been there for several days, and every time we called each other, we were in different parks. The ONE DAY we didn't call, we were actually in the same place.:headache: So tonight was their last night in Disney, and we were going to make it happen! I told them we'd be at Illuminations, and they decided they would be, too!

The best part of the evening was when they came around the corner of the lagoon by Norway, and he saw me for the first time. I was expecting him to come running over to me with his normal big hugs. Nope.. he was so weirded out by the situation, that he just looked at me like I was an alien... Stich, maybe? We all laughed about it.. it was just so bizarre to see each other so far away from our normal classroom!

Here we are.. he's such a cutie!!
P1030852.jpg

They had quite a large group with them, so we let all of the kids hang out together:

You can see my student next to Tyson, and his twin brother next to him.
P1030853.jpg

It was a very cool experience, as crazy as it was for both of us!!

A fun way to end a fun night! We had another heavenly stroll back to our resort (I felt bad for my student and his family, knowing they had to battle the buses back to their resort!) We went straight to bed. Shaelyn and I had a date with MK EMH... and a REAAAALLLLYYYY LLLLOOOONNNNGGG LLLIIINNNEE to see Tinkerbell.

how great you could meet up with your student and family
i teach preschool and when a student sees me outside of work it's like they look as if the space time continuum has been ripped- you can't be here in the store with your own kids- you are my teacher! ;)

:rotfl: So true!! I bet it's especially weird for the little ones!!

Up bright and early for EMH at Magic Kingdom.

Oops, did I say BRIGHT and early? I guess it was just early that day!
P1030854.jpg

I like this shot because you can see Matt and Ty holding hands walking down Main Street. Ty will be 9 and a half on our next trip. I'm wondering how many more times I'll ever see this...
P1030855.jpg

We immediately split up so Shae and I could ride the 'baby rides' (as Tyson calls them)
P1030858.jpg

1st stop was Pooh. I love EMH and just being able to walk onto things. We were excited because we were in 'slot' #3... Shaelyn's age!
P1030860.jpg

Next up was the Carousel. Here are a few pictures of my Princess on her steed:
P1030861.jpg

P1030862.jpg

Onto Snow White's Scary Adventures. This was new for both Shaelyn and me. I wasn't sure how truly 'scary' this was, but figured if Shae didn't like it, we wouldn't go on it again! How's that for strategy?
P1030866.jpg

Turns out, she LOVED it! She never even mentioned the word 'scary'. Yay!
See ma, you had nothing to worry about!
P1030867.jpg

Oh yes, it's time for It's a Small World... It's a good thing I'm not completely sick of this ride yet!

In the seat and ready to go.
P1030868.jpg

My personal favorite dolls in the ride.. they always have been. I think I fell in love with the layers of tulle under the skirt. So girlie!!
P1030870.jpg

It had been a long time since Shae had had any character interaction, and she was feeling the itch. Since we were near the Grotto, we decided to wait for Miss Mermaid herself! Here is Shae enjoying the play area... which is genius, if I may say:
P1030879.jpg

Waiting for the water to spray:
P1030880.jpg

A rear-view of the castle with Ariel in front:
P1030882.jpg

We ended up waiting almost 45 minutes, but boy, was it ever worth it! This Ariel was another PERFECT match. She was beautiful, and rocked those clam shells! She spent a lot of time with my little red-head. Shaelyn even got brave enough to sing the beginning of "Part of Your World" to her. It was precious!
P1030884.jpg

P1030885.jpg

P1030886.jpg

It was time to venture over to Toontown. Shaelyn was eager to see Mickey and Minnie's houses. I was really disappointed to see LINES out of both of them. LINES... just to go walk through their houses. UGH. So we sucked it up, reminded ourselves that we were there during Spring Break, and ventured inside... after waiting in LINE!
P1030887.jpg

And then.. speaking of lines... we decided it was time to see the Fairies. We had never waited in one of these lines in the Toontown County Fair tent, and now that I have, I have a MUCH better understanding of how LOOOONNNGG it takes to see the fairies/princesses. YIKES!! For some reason, the princess line moved faster than the fairy line. I thought it was because there were FIVE fairies, and only three princesses... WRONG! There are only 3 fairies. So if anyone knows why the fairy line takes so much longer, please let me know!

Shae was such a trooper. We waited almost an hour and a half! Towards the end, she decided she needed to go to the bathroom. :sad2: With no one there to hold our spot for us, I told her she just had to hang on! Bless her heart... she sure did. And we FINALLY got to enter Pixie Hollow. It was a magical experience (minus the potty dance she'd do every once in a while!) Here are some pictures of her with her favorite Fairy Friends:
With Silvermist:
P1030889.jpg

P1030890.jpg

With Tink!! Tink could see that Shae needed to use the potty.. so she refrained from squeezing her too tight!

And finally, with Iridissa. I like how Shae is sitting in this picture:

another awesome update, we really hope to make the pixie hallow this year, lines were over an hour for us last year...we will be going ther first thing for sure.

What cute pictures of Shae with Ariel. The pictures with the Fairies are just precious. Sounds like you had a fun morning, although I do give you credit for waiting so long. So were the boys enjoying all the Wild Rides?

You are a great mom to wait in those lines! Great pix and the red hair on Shae...so cute!

Thanks, Jordan! I hope Shaelyn grows up and remembers all of the sacrifices I made for her!!:lmao:

I'm not sure when the best time to go is! Probably RIGHT at rope drop? Every time we go over there, the lines are ridiculous.. but worth it IMHO!

Great pictures of Shae with Ariel and the fairies.

Thanks!:lovestruc

Funny.. I have no idea what the boys did... probably a bit of Captain Jack and some Buzz Lightyear. Oh.. YES.. they did Splash Mountain! I forgot all about that! A ride I've never been on yet.. and they rode it without me!

OMGosh, what wonderful pictures! Looks like a terrific time, despite the dreary weather. :goodvibes
Thanks... I just love this group of pics, too!! Now that they revealed the new Fantasyland pics, I'm DYING to get that finished so I can get some adorable pictures in there.. Shae will be six when it opens!!:dance3:

Shaelyn just hadn't had enough of Princesses and Pixies, so we ventured over to another little show that I'd never seen before. It was the story time with Belle show, tucked away near the TeaCup ride. We got there abour 30 minutes before show time, and, boy, am I glad we did! It filled up VERY quickly, and soon, folks were standing around the edge of the seating area, continuing to encroach every so slightly onto the stage. Every few moments, a CM would have to come by and tell people to find elsewhere to stand... and every few moments, more people would try to sit or stand on the stage...
:sad2:Really people?! Really?

The most entertaining pre-show activity happened right in front of us:

P1030895.jpg

Please take note of the following:
1. The CM on stage asking people to, yet again, MOVE!
2. The lady lounging on the bench in front of us. Now, because I'm observant, I knew she was reserving seats for the 2 or 3 small children with her. They were roaming around the seating area, bothering other guests... ahem... I mean, entertaining themselves.
3. The lady in the red shirt. She walked straight up to the lounging lady and said ((snippy voice on))"You can't lie on a bench and take up all those seats. There are people behind you that are standing" --notice her pointing to said standing people--((Snippy voice off))

It was quite comical. As you can imagine, lounging lady got very defensive and told red shirt lady that she had children sitting with her, thank you very much! Just one of those situations I think could've been avoided if people, A.) weren't rude and B.) were more observant!

Here are some shots from the show. I thought it was VERY cute, LOVED the crowd involvement, and Shae was intrigued throughout!

We had made it through a long and fun-filled morning. It was time to head back to the resort to nap, and prepare for our evening at T-Rex and La Nouba. On our way out, we stumbled on the new "Block Party Bash"-esque parade/show. Here are some shots from that experience:

Everyone is joining in and dancing here. Looked like a good time!
P1030920.jpg

Shaelyn opted to stay up here, tho.
P1030923.jpg

She was exhausted and ready for a nap. Honestly, so was I! So we bailed early, and didn't watch the rest of the show!

Off to bed and on to DTD!!
