I know that but my mom always made coffee in the hotel! That's why! If you understand Nancyg56! and thanks for the info! Which building is closer to the lobby so Mom and I can't walk very far!

Hi everyone! It's been fun reading through people's reviews and looking at all of the beautiful pictures. I'll be going in February with my DD and it looks like a lot of fun! I had a question about the sea serpent slide. Can you stand at the bottom to catch your children?

Yes you can. I did this when we were there last Dec.

Hey Girl! It's so good to hear from you. Thanks for your posting your opinion of FQ. I am really looking forward to staying there. We visited there on our last visit and I really fell in love with it! I see by your ticker that you have another trip planned. Where are you staying? Hope you have a fabulous trip!

Yes my DH & I are going 4/30 to 5/7 & we are staying at the Beach Club. We decided to live it up since it will be our 25th anniv. I have ALWAYS wanted to stay there but could not see paying so much when we love POFQ. But it should be great being able to walk to Epcot or MGM. I hope I do not get too spoiled staying there.:) I hope your next trip is great also!!

All of this bus talk has me thinking. If you have an early ADR (8 ish) is it better to take your own car or do the buses get you there in time? I would hate to miss a much anticipated ADR due to buses.
Thanks
Debbie

Debbie, We always have early ADR's & have never had a problem getting to them. Actually we are usually early!! We love going to Crystal Palace for 8:05 & have never had a problem. You should be fine!! Have a great trip!!

I didn't read all these posts but could someone tell me when POR changed & now will only allow 4 in a room....yet when we try to book it will allow 5-do they or don't they????

Port Orleans RIVERSIDE does (with the trundle) Port Orleans FRENCH QUARTER does not.

It's hard to beat bldg #5 fr being close to the food court and lobby. I wish I remembered the room # we stayed in, but it was ground floor and about two door from the lobby/fc end of bldg #5. It was maybe a 25 yard walk to the food court -very convenient for mug refill runs! Best of all noise was not a factor at all for us. There's probably a map somehwere on here that can pinpoint which exact rooms are best.

:yay:

leaving in 4 days for the 1st time at FQ

is there an iron in the room??

I see that your question has been answered but I want to share my ironing secret. I always iron everything so when we leave my clothes are pressed. They never arrive in the same condition that they were in when I packed but I hate to iron on vacation. I bring a small bottle of Downey Wrinkle Release. Just hang your things up and spritz them. smooth them out a little by hand and your clothes are wrinkle free. That stuff got expensive so now I make my own.

A couple T fabric softener, a couple T rubbing alcohol and fill the bottle with water. You can also use a dryer sheet instead of the liquid softener if you choose. I never have used the sheet but I read that it works.

Maybe I requested building 5 in the POFQ! So we can't walk very far to the lobby and the bus stops! oh! which bus to go to EPCOT! Bus Stop A or Bus Stop B?

I have always just taken an empty spray bottle and used warm water. But I will have to try this new recipe! :goodvibes

in room 5248. Second floor of Bldg 5, courtyard not poolside and at the end nearest the food court. Short walk to food court, bus stop, parking lot, pool and lobby. The longest walk I had was to the ice machine which is near the elevator towards the river.

"which bus to go to EPCOT! Bus Stop A or Bus Stop B"

I guess it's B. I think DHS and MK stopped at the front one and Epcot and DAK at the back one. It's not a big issue if I have them wrong. They're right next to each other

We will be there next Sunday.............for the 1st time. Can't wait to check out this resort after all your feedback.

glad to hear good things re the transportation system!

still on fence whether to drive to MK or grab a bus for the one day we have a the Keys to Kingdom tour (9 am) booked? i was thinking either way would require same amount of time:confused: thinking 7:30 am bus stop or do u think later bus (8 am?) would still get us to MK in time?popcorn::

just worried as @ different AS resorts, many times we'd have to wait in long line, sometimes 3 buses loaded before our turn.

I avoid Gettysburg as much as possible, especially during the summer. I haven't even eaten at the Dobbin House, can you believe it? We're fifteen miles west of Gettysburg in the next county, so we don't have much need of going into Gettysburg, except for outlet shopping.

we ate @ hotel, friendly's (we don't have them in our neck of woods lol) and picken's buffet...i got so sick afterwards:rolleyes1

the ghost tours look very cool, on our next trip. I will say based upon the traffic end of April, i can't imagine how crowded it gets in summer season.
