actual cost of dining plan?

2009: $39.99/adult/night, $10.99/child/night
2010 regular: $41.99/adult/night, $11.99/child/night
2010 "peak": $46.99/adult/night, $12.99/child/night

The following describes the "peak" DDP season for 2010:

The info now coming out indicates the dining plan (basic dining) will cost approximately $47 per night per adult during the following periods:

February 12 to April 10, 2010 (Easter is April 4)
June 4 to August 14, 2010
December 17 to December 31, 2010

2009: $39.99/adult/night, $10.99/child/night
2010 regular: $41.99/adult/night, $11.99/child/night
2010 "peak": $46.99/adult/night, $12.99/child/night

I don't think I realized they were changing the price for peak in 2010. :confused3 Makes me question if I'll really be doing it then. So sad...

What about the cost for the Deluxe, both regular and peak? Thanks!

Deluxe (and, for that matter, QSDP) has no "peak" surcharge. For deluxe: officially, the answer is "less than $70 per adult and $20 per child". This likely means $69.99/adult/night and $19.99/child/night, a decrease of $2 and $1, respectively, from 2009 rates. This is based on a press release, but note that people "playing around" with quotes from the online booking system have stated that they're seeing the same as the 2009 rates ($71.99/adult/night and $20.99/child/night) applied to their 2010 reservations.

Disney Vacation Club members, who do not buy package reservations, have the price of the 2010 deluxe dining plan set at $71.99 per night per adult and $20.99 per night per child. It's not too likely that package reservations will be paying less than DVC reservations.

DVC also apparently has no "peak pricing" for the regular dining plan in 2010. The DVC price is the same all year.

No QSDP increase? I can live with that then. We've been batting around the idea of doing QSDP next trip and just paying OOP for a few TS restaurants. I think my decision has been made. :)

OH! and it makes me want to think about getting DXDP because we will only be able to go during peak times. Hmmm, the wheels are spinning.....

I think QSDP is $2/adult/night and $1/child/night more than 2009, but there are no peak surcharges for 2010. (At least, none that anyone's reported yet!)
