Just makes it seem more real. Desert Inn & Suites just emailed me a "welcome." Our plane leaves Seattle at 8:15 AM Sat. morning. Should be in Long Beach around 10:45. Prepaid for Super Shuttle van to take the 9 of us to the hotel then it's off to DCA to get our hands stamped. The younger ones of our group will stay & collect some FP from both parks while we older ones hoof it down to Anaheim Plaza to get the 12 passenger van we rented for the week and head for the grocery store. Then we'll join the kids and our vacation will officially begin. :goodvibes

PinkBudgie: 8 nights...we come home Sunday, Sept. 6th.

Saturday - Disney
Sunday - FOL passes at Universal
Monday - Disney
Tuesday - Knott's & Medieval Dinner Show
Wednesday - Sea World
Thursday - Disney
Friday - Disney
Saturday - Disney

That sounds like a great vacation. You've got some good Disney time in there! :thumbsup2 I haven't been to Universal since I was 10 years old. It was around the time that the Incredible Shrinking Woman movie came out and my sister and I had our picture taken in front of a giant phone. It has changed a lot since then. I've also been wanting to go to Sea World and also the San Diego zoo.

I had originally planned on going to Sea World on Friday, but everyone wants to be in the Disney parks after dark so we had to go with the weekends. Crowd wise - I'm expecting the worst but hoping for ok. With the Fantasmic dragon maybe debuting this weekend, I'm bracing myself. Using Ridemax & Hydro Guy as my guides, but family is not too keen on the whole FP thing. :confused3 They all like to just go with the flow but I just can't see wasting time standing in line when you don't have to.

I have mobility issues so will have an ECV. I have no problem at all being the runner.

Have a great time! Sounds like you'll be worn out by the time you're done after looking at your schedule. :rotfl:

Oh my gosh, I remember that phone (or at least the picture my mom had of me in front of it!)

Have a great trip bouncy54!

Although it will be harder with such a big group, I found that not emphasizing the FP stuff, BUT offering my "oh I just thought of this" planned out thoughts worked well to guide the group to doing the smarter thing, when choices came up. I was made fun of when I was still talking about my plan; but when I put the plan away and still went by it (when the fam stopped in the walkway with the map out), I could steer them with relative ease. But steering 3 adults and 1 child is easier than a group of 8 other people.:goodvibes
