I hope so too! They have really squishy areas (I guess where you need shock absorbancy?) and actually have arch support, which is great, since I think I have plantar fasciitis. 
I'm trying to break them in this week (and air them out..my room still smells like leather
), so I'll wear them at work tomorrow. I'll be standing for 8 hours, so that should let me know how comfortable they are (and those hours tell you why I have the problem).

I developed Plantar Faciaitis last year, and it was no fun! My dad's advice (he's a doctor) was hot foot baths, followed by aspercreme and advil, as well as gel inserts for my heels in my sneakers. My advice for you!!

Thank you for that info! I might be using the Jacuzzi as a foot bath then, if it flares up down there.
Two weeks from today is Animal Kingdom day, so that means an AK-related fact!
11 days!!!!
There are approx 320 animals carved into the Tree of Life. It is constructed from an old oil rig. It was the only thing strong enough to hold its shape.
Look at the little temple in Asia in front of Expedition Everest. When viewed from the specific angle, these tiny temples form the exact shape of the mountain behind them!

I hope you can some day - I'm sure you'd take full advantage of it, and since snacks are free, it's okay to use the credits for bottles of water (only sometimes, of course, haha). And your post reminded of today's fact of the day, since I mentioned it in your Trip Report when I saw one of your photos....

If you look at the Tower of Terror, youll see that it looks slightly Middle Eastern at the top. This is because it can be seen from Epcot, and where can it be seen? Right behind Morocco! So it blends in with the buildings in the background. Well check it out soon!
Online check in would be today, but I wasn't really enthusiastic about it, so I will wait until we get there.
I wish it was here! I've been feeling really on-edge lately, probably because I don't want to be here, I want to be in Disney. And I'm worried it's not going to live up to my expectations...
Considering there are two tropical storms on their way to Florida, it might be very soggy while we're there...... good thing I'm bringing DVDs. And if we get stuck in our hotel one day, at least we'll have food.But I have to look on the bright side - no matter what, we'll be in Disney.
I just want it to be the 25th now!

One more day down - I just got home from a Mock Trial meeting, so I can post today's fact now, since Lou just opened it:

Main Street is designed, through forced perspective, to look as if it's much longer than it is when you're heading towards the Castle. In the mornings, you are all excited and have the energy to walk. When you're walking away from the castle towards the exit, it looks shorter. That's good for the way out when you're tired. The castle is designed the same way. The bricks get smaller as you go higher up, to make it look taller than it is. This is also helped by the fact that as you walk down Main Street, the buildings get smaller as you get closer to the castle, so that it looks even taller.

Colleen - I'm debating adding an umbrella to the luggage - I may bring one just in case....

I only have 4 days of work left! Today, Tuesday, Friday, and then Monday again, and then I'm done!
More good news: Bounceback is out, and it's Free Dining for next August! So that means I'll be booking the 25th anniversary trip while I'm down there, and then we're going to cancel the other reservation.
So Lou came over today, and my father started talking about Saratoga Springs (I forget exactly what about it), but according to my mother, I had this look of horror on my face as I deftly changed the subject away from anything where he might mess up and mention the 1 bedroom villa vs. studio. I haven't messed up yet, I am determined not to!
I've been keeping up with the Fact of the Day too, and I'm trying to get it up on time every day. So here's today's!

The Eiffel tower is the only "carrot" in the WS--the only thing that cannot be reached by the general public. Since it isnt full scale, its coated with a sticky substance so birds wont perch on it and spoil the illusion.
Between France and Morocco, you'll notice that there is a section of pavement that looks different. This is supposed to symbolize the Straits of Gibraltar.

Thats awesome about bounceback now I have to decide if I'm going to book it since I have a cruise in June with my sis! Maybe I'll do it for sept or sept til oct! what are the dates do you know? I have umbrellas packed also! OMG! Did you get your dad after Lou left and tell him it's a surprise???lol!

Also the slope helps with derange during rain storms. All of the paths in the magic Kingdom slope towards water either the seven seas lagoon or the rivers of America.

I didn't, I think (hope) he remembers it's a surprise, but if I can just not have him say anything, that's even better.
I think the bounceback dates were 8/15-9/30. That's what I want to say. And remember, if there's nothing in your room, you can ask at the front desk. Over and over again. And eventually you'll get someone who knows what they're doing.

Bounceback is when you book a trip while you're there. Have you ever worked in merchandise, anywhere? Or even shopping - sometimes you'll get things in your bag, or you'll get a coupon on your receipt, etc, enticing you to come back. That's bounceback.
There's usually a bounceback deal while you're at Disney, and for the past few years, it's been Free Dining during Free Dining. That is also a pretty good sign that they'll release free dining to the general public again next year. Not for sure, but pretty good. So you can hope and keep planning!
And EastYorkDisneyFan, thanks for that information, I didn't know that! I can check that out when I go.... so much stuff to look for! I'm amazed they were able to put this all in - Imagineers are so creative.

I will have to look for the change of pavement between Morrocco and France - I've never noticed it before!
Also on Main St. the majority of the food is on your right hand side (to attract you as you enter the park) and then the shops are on your right as you exit the park so you are inclined to venture in.

That's only true in WDW, Disneyland is not as organized. Also if you think the hub is crowded for wishes try watching a fireworks show in Disneyland.

I learned that on the KTTK tour in WDW, I don't have lots of useless knowledge about DL though ... done the DL hub for fireworks before and I did notice the difference!

I did the Keys to the World tour too! And the Segway around the World. Those were the coolest tours - I wanted to do them this trip, if we had booked 10 days, but no dice with Lou. After I convert him into a Disney lover though, then we can do them!

This one is for the inside of the theatre of It's Tough To Be A Bug. The announcer says something to the effect of "Will all honorary bugs please remain seated so the beetles, maggots and cockroaches may exit safely." If you look up at the ceiling, you will see "swarms" of lights. They all fly toward the doors. Look to your left at the exit signs and you will see little firefly-type creatures lighting up the exit sign as they exit the theatre. (That is, if you can look…. without being surprised…. Hehehehehe. )
The "surprise", if anyone has seen this, is the little bump that rolls under your seat, like bugs going to the exit. I don't think his family did this last time, so that should be new for him.
One week left!!!!!!!
Right now we should be winging our way over the east coast, landing in about an hour and a half.

In the United Kingdom, the shops change to represent all the styles. One shop represents the 1700s and has a sign out front that says Est. 1702. It has higher ceilings and basic wrought iron lighting fixtures. If you look at it from the outside, you can see the cantilever build. That served two purposes-the first was a legal form of tax evasion. Subjects were taxed on the square footage of the downstairs. Second and even more visual was what they threw out the upstairs windows into the drains that ran down the center of the streets. Just another reason gentlemen walked nearer the road and wore large brimmed hats while ladies walked very near the buildings.

It's so cool looking at my ticker and seeing that there are fewer days until Disney than days we'll be spending there!
